Chapter 7 : How does she do it?

( SYDNEY'S POV )

I moaned as I rubbed my head and sat up " I should have torn to shreds when I had the chance ". I frowned as I touched my head " When did my hair get so soft "? I stretched out my fingers, they looked very white and I frowned " How long was I inside "?

Lifting the sheets, I stepped out of the luxurious bed and touched the floor. It was cold and crisp. I looked around and saw old vases and paintings, they all looked expensive " I have such terrible food poisoning ".

Carefully walking around,I looked out the window and saw towers and flags surrounded by a big grey stone fence and a sort of forest on the other side. It seemed alive even this late at night, " Am I in a castle "?

Slowly stepping back, I stubbed my toe on the bed frame and yelped. Hoping, I held the other foot " I officially hate today. This just isn't my day, is it " ?

When I passed a mirror, I was too shocked to balance myself and fell over. Scrambling to the mirror, I touched the soft face that seemed to be mine and screamed, backing away and laughed hysterically to myself " This is a nightmare, I'm just dreaming. It'll all go away ".

But I didn't even get enough time to panic when seven dashingly handsome yet familiar looking men barged into the room.

I screamed even louder this time, wrapping myself in a bed sheet, my back to them " This is all a bad dream. I will wake up and all that'll be on the news is Covid. Yes, there's a virus, there's social distancing. Where's my face mask anyways "?

When no one interrupted my mumbling, I turned around since it was too silent and saw the men were frozen. Removing the sheets slightly I got up and sighed " My brain can't take much more of this ".

Then I heard an annoyingly familiar voice from behind me " You handled it a lot better than I expected you to " . I frowned as I turned, pointing at the book " You did this. What did you even do "?

The book smiled mischievously as it circled me " Well, since you had so much to say about all these stories, you're now in it ". I folded my arms, scowling " That's stupid, absolutely the dumbest idea I've ever heard. Take me back home ".

The book snorted " The people in the S.P.O thought differently when they made me and besides, I don't have energy to do that ". I rubbed my temples " I don't even want to know. And where's the fainting mister from earlier "?

The book smiled " You'll meet him later. I don't have much time left. Let's introduce you to your characters and missions. Do remember, there will be consequences for failing the compulsory missions ".

Before I could say anything again, the book disappeared and turned into a pendant on a piece of string around my neck and it squealed excitedly, " Don't worry, I'll be here to make sure you don't mess this up. I need that five star rating ".

Then the world seemed to play again as the handsome men were able to move. I blinked several times as I looked at them. They're names were written on top of their heads and there seemed to be more character information [ I'll check that out later ]

I frowned slightly as I read their names [ Grumpy? Sleepy? Dopey? What kind of names are those and why do they seem so familiar ]

I was surprised when one touched my forehead, his face filled with concern. He had pale yellow hair and black eyes with two rimless circle glasses " Are you all right Snow White "?

I frowned slightly, pointing at myself " I'm not Snow White, my name's Sydney Tucker ". They all gasped, suddenly worried when one of them suddenly lifted me up.

He had a frown on his handsome face, he also had on red silks and spiky angry looking brown hair " We can fix her in the morning Doc, let's get back to bed ". I didn't even get to speak as a tiny but clear voice could be heard.

He had his head lowered but that did no justice to the beautiful gentle face he was trying to hide underneath. He had bright shiny green hair and yellow eyes " Do you need us to stay Snow?....in case you have another nightmare ". I couldn't find the strength to say no to him and his name seemed to be Bashful [ Suits him perfectly though ].

There was another one yawning and leaning on the wall [ Who knew lazy could look so hot? ] His hair was a deeper shade of green and his eyes pink blending effortlessly with his dozing eyelids " It doesn't really matter where I sleep. I just need some peace and quiet ".

I couldn't think of anything to say as my mouth hung open staring at all of them. When another suddenly hugged me from behind, dangling me over the floor like a rag doll.

He had blonde hair and blue eyes, it was obvious he was in a good mood just like his name " Snow just needs a hug and it'll be all better ".

All these passing around was tiring and I had to divide my attention into seven just to keep up with these guys. Face palming myself, I sighed [ How did snow white do it? ]
