The two representative

Getting to school and walking to his class, Caleb could see Kiran and Mikey already present as they were exchanging words.

"Why so late today Caleb, you aren't those that like coming late" said Kiran as Caleb sat on his seat.

"Just some minor problem, but it's all good now" replied Caleb.

"Guess what Caleb?" asked Mikey.

"What's it Mikey" replied Caleb with a sigh.

"I thought about what you said yesterday and you were right, I'm going to go get myself a girlfriend and I already have her in mind" said Mikey.

"Well good for you, who's the lucky girl?" asked Kiran.

"It's Lydia, ever since I have interact with her, I couldn't get her off my mind" replied Mikey.

"If you are going to get yourself killed, then count us out" said Caleb and Kiran after hearing his words.

Just when Mikey was about to reply, a teacher walked into the class, causing him to keep it in.

"Good morning class" said teacher Andrew as he walk towards the teacher desk and drop his textbook before facing the class.

"Good morning sir" replied the class in unison.

"Kiran and Lydia, you two will be representing class A to compete with the two representative of class B. After that, I would be picking the two people representing this school in this year maths competition" said teacher Andrew before walking towards the board.

"Okay sir" replied Kiran not caring about Lydia being quiet. "So what time today?" asked Kiran.

"After school session" replied teacher Andrew while continue writing the topic on the board.

After school session, Kiran and Lydia stayed behind so as to wait for teacher Andrew for the competition.

Only Lydia and Kiran were told to wait after school sessions, but Mikey doesn't seem to care about that as he walk over to meet Lydia.

"Hello there" said Mikey as he wave his hand.

"What's it?, I can see you, so why the need to wave your hand?" asked Lydia as she was about getting up from her seat so as to walk away from Mikey.

"Please don't walk out on me, I won't pester you" said Mikey as he wanted to hold her hand, but remembering what happened the last time, he withdraw his hand.

"Then what's it?" asked Lydia as she look at him.

Kiran who was sitting at the other side of the class couldn't help himself as he shake his head.

"Please I just want us to be friends, I'm not here for anything else" replied Mikey.

"We can't, there are tons of people in this class who would be more than willing to be your friend" said Lydia.

"What's so hard about being friends, why are you so misanthropic?" asked Mikey, but he couldn't get his reply as the awaited teacher finally walked in.

"Sorry about my lateness, we would be using class B, so follow me" said teacher Andrew as he was about walking out of the class but he stopped the moment he noticed Mikey.

"What are you doing here Mikey and why are you troubling her?" asked teacher Andrew as he walked to approach them.

'Just what is it about her identity that's so important making every teacher in school feel so protective of her?" asked Mikey to himself.

"Sorry about this Mr Andrew, I'm actually waiting for Kiran, we will be going home together and beside I wasn't bothering her, you can ask her if you think I'm lying" replied Mikey as he fake a smile.

"It's everything okay Lydia?" asked Mr Andrew which Lydia nodded to. "Okay then, both of you follow me, you would be staying in this class Mikey" pointed Mr Andrew towards Mikey before he turn to walk out of the class.

"Alright Kiran, if you don't see me when you come back, the know I left" said Mikey quietly to Kiran as he followed behind the teacher.

"Understood Mikey" was the short reply from Kiran.

After about an hour of the four candidates competing against each other, Mr Andrew finally was able to pick the two pair that would be representing their school in the competition.

These two duo that was pick was non other than Kiran and Lydia who have won against the two others in class B.

It was just a slight difference in points that determine them as the winner, as the score board for class A and B was twenty to eighteen, with Kiran having ten points and Lydia the same, while for class B, it was nine each.

"That would be everything for today, Kiran and Lydia make sure to study hard, we just have three days before the competition, we do need the award in this school this time around" said Mr Andrew as he gesture for them to walk out of the class.

After walking out of the class, Kiran was about going straight outside, but he changed his mind as he decided to check if Mikey was still waiting, because it won't be too shocking if he was. And true to his decision, he saw Mikey still waiting in the class with his attention completely focus on the book he was reading.

"Your crush is almost out of the building, if you want to talk to her then you have to quickly leave now to meet her" said Kiran as he approached him.

On hearing the words of Kiran, Mikey didn't reply as he quickly get up from his seat and sprinted towards the door so as to catch up with Lydia. Knowing full well that his friend was there, he doesn't seem to fear about the fact that he left his bag in school, because he knew Kiran was going to carry it for him.

"You're one crazy guy Mikey" said Kiran as he walked over to where he was not too long ago.

He pick the book Mikey was reading not too long ago and put it in his bag before carrying the bag and walking out of the class.
