Retreat

At the frost moon pack, Samuel was currently laying beside his beloved wife and his newborn son who was currently sleeping on his baby crib, the joy in his heart couldn't be express with words as he looked at his son with love and joy in his heart. After about an hour of just looking at his son face, he turned to face his wife who was soundly sleeping.

'I can't thank you enough for the happiness you have brought into my life, Clara" said Samuel while looking at her sleeping face which brought calmness to his soul, but the calmness didn't last for long as he was disturbed from his thoughts by his beta through mind link.

'Alpha sorry to disturb you, but we are currently under attack' said Leo while panting for air.

'Just take care of it, don't disturb my peace just because of some few rogues' said Samuel casually through mind link.

'Alpha, sorry to tell you this, but it's not an attack from some stray rogues, it's from a pack' replied Leo.

'What!, which pack has the audacity to disturb my peace at this time of the night which direction are they attacking from?' asked Samuel with anger in his voice.

'I don't actually know the exact pack, but they are many in numbers and they are all attacking from different angles, the western, eastern and the northern gate are currently under attack. The southern gate is the only place untouched right now, the guards at the southern gate are dividing themselves so they can go join the fight at the other gates' said Leo.

'Where are you right now?' asked Samuel.

'I'm currently at the eastern gate while gamma Raphael is at the western gate, we are currently on the losing side right now, but I think the guards at the northern gate are finding it more difficult'.

'I understand, keep on holding them off, I will be on my way to the northern gate so I can help them first before coming to meet you guys' said Samuel.

'Alpha before you go, I just got an update from Raphael and the guards guiding the eastern gate. The pack attacking the western gate is the Amoral moon pack and alpha Kelvin is currently there, while the pack attacking the eastern gate is the Spring moon pack, I'm currently in a battle against alpha Ramus, but just to let you know, we really need you and won't be able to fend them off you' said Leo.

'If my guess is right, then that means the third party is going to be alpha Desmond from the Drasville pack. You all should try to your best to hold them off and protect you pack with everything you have, I will quickly try to finish things off with alpha Desmond' said Samuel to every member of his pack through mind link.

'We are going to fend them off, even if it cost us our lives' said all of them.

'Make sure nor of you should die on me, okay?' said Samuel while closing the mind link, so they can all focus on their fight.

"Sweetie wake up, we are currently under attack, you and Karin should go out through the underground exit, quickly carry Karin so I can take you guys there" said Samuel to his wife.

"What!!, which pack has the audacity to attack us?" asked Clara, saying almost exactly what Samuel just said when he also heard the news.

"It's already been planned from the beginning, alpha Ramus, Kelvin and Desmond are currently attacking us from different angles. I should have killed them all when I had the chance, not sparing their pathetic lives. Let's go quickly" said Samuel to his wife who has already picked Karin from his bed.

Samuel immediately transform to his wolf form the moment they got outside, his majestic wolf and it's pure black fur merges with the night, making it hard for anybody to see him, he quickly attacked anyone that was blocking his path and those who was not of his pack, after about five minutes of killing those who has manage to pass through his people, they has finally gotten to the underground exit, he didn't waste anytime before opening the underground passage for his wife to go through.

'Samuel, I don't think it's a good idea to stay, let's retreat so we can live to fight another day' said Clara through mind link.

'Sweetie, I can't desert my people when they need me the most, and beside we can't retreat from this, the moment we turn our back, we are all going to lose our life's'.

'Please Samuel don't go, I can't lose you like this, not after we just got our first child' said Clara with tears in her eyes.

'Don't worry, I'm not going to die, I will be right beside you in some minutes, but before then, take care of Karin and yourself, there are clothes inside the passageway in case if you transform when you encounter any danger, remember there are clothes there for you to wear when you change back' said Samuel through mind link before transforming back to his human form, he quickly gave Karin a kiss on his forehead before kissing Clara on the lips, not minding the fact that his clothes were tattered.

Clara couldn't stop herself from crying as she saw Samuel close the door to the underground passage the moment she when in. He immediately transform back to his wolf form and started dashing towards the battlefield.

'Leo, what's your status?' asked Samuel using mind link.

'Alpha, nor of us are faring any better in this fight, we are currently not more than a hundred' said Leo.

'All of you should retreat to the southern gate' said Samuel to every member of his pack.

Without being told twice, every member of the frost moon pack still alive immediately started retreating back to the southern gate, some of them were injured from the process of turning their back on their opponents.
