After taking their awards, signing of documents and such, it was now time for them to go back to school so as to celebrate their great victory before going home.

But halfway to school, Kiran demanded to be drop as he wouldn't be following them to school and so did Lydia, causing Mr Andrew the only one to go back to school with the awards to celebrate.

"Make sure to go to the hospital to get yourself checked okay?" said Mr Andrew when Kiran step out from the car.

Mr Andrew didn't protest when Kiran said he wouldn't be going to school as he could see that he wasn't feeling well to continue school for the day.

While as for Lydia, hers is a special case as no one could stop her from doing what she wants, so saying she's tired and want to take go home, he didn't protest as he let her be.

Kiran on getting to his house, he quickly dropped his bag and walked towards his bathroom so as to take a shower.

Staying under the shower for close to fifteen minutes, his temperature still hasn't cool down as he continue to heat up.

Walking out of the shower, he picked his phone so as to call his mom.

"Mom please do call doctor Philip to come check on me" said Kiran with gritted teeth through the phone call.

"I have given him a call already, just wait a little he will be there soon and I'm coming home right now" said Jenny before cutting the call.

Cleaning the water from his body, he wear his clothes before lying down on his bed.

After about thirty minutes, he heard the main door being opened which made him to get up from the bed so as to check who has opened it.

"How are you feeling sweetie?" Asked Jenny as she walked to him and hug him.

"I'm okay mom, where's doctor Phillip" replied Kiran as he walked towards a chair so he can seat.

"He will soon get here, just be patient a little" said Jenny as she seat beside him.

Raising her hand to touch his forehead, she was surprised by how high it was as it wasn't like this when he left for school. Although his temperature was a little bit up in the morning but it was nothing close to this.

"You shouldn't have gone to the maths competition, I told you to stay so doctor Philip could attend to you, but you said you can handle it, now look at how high your temperature is" said Jenny before taking a small towel and going to the kitchen so as to add some water to it.

"Mom, how come this always happen to me every month?" Asked Kiran weakly as Jenny apply the wet towel to his forehead.

"I don't know sweetie, but the doctor said it's related to your gene" replied Jenny.

"Don't we all have the same gene, so why am I the only one this is happening to, not that I want it to happen to any of you, but still" said Kiran weakly as he close his eyes.

On hearing the words of Kiran, Jenny stopped in place as she look at him. No matter how much she has gathered her courage to tell him about himself, she just couldn't bring herself to do it.

Hearing the sound of the bell ringing, Jenny stood up so as to go open the door as she know that it definitely would be doctor Philip.

"Good afternoon Mrs Hendrick" greeted doctor Philip as he walked inside.

"Afternoon doctor Philip, please I recommend you checking on him right away, his temperature is too high" said Jenny as she and doctor Philip walked over to Kiran.

Checking Kiran for some minutes and giving him a shot of sedative, he waited for him to fall asleep but that doesn't seem to happen as he was turning recklessly on the couch.

"What's happening doctor Philip, his temperature isn't going down but instead it's going up" said Jenny in panicked as she continue using the towel to wipe his forehead.

"His body isn't responding to the sedative, it's like it's rejecting it" said doctor Philip in surprise as he continue to check his vitals.

"Then give him something his body will respond to, please, this isn't your first time attending to him" said Jenny as a tear could be seen rolling down from her eyes.

"Mrs Hendrick, you have to pull yourself together. This is why we don't allow non doctors into the place of treatment. You are hindering me from treating him right now, go and do something or prepare something for him to eat, non oily food" said Philip as the presence of Jenny was making his work hard.

Looking at Kiran who was lying on the long couch, he shake his head as he bend down to attend to him without any disturbance.

'This isn't natural, I can't even figure out what I'm dealing with for the pass sixteen years now, I couldn't even get an info when I check about your real background' said Philip inwardly.

"Giving you another sedative is a risk, but seeing how it is right now, I don't have a choice" said doctor Philip as he inject another sedatives into his body.

Looking at his system, he could see that after some minutes his temperature drop down a little, but not permanent as it would spike up once in a while.

On opening the door and getting inside, Hendrick could see doctor Philip with Kiran in the living room.

"Good evening doctor Philip, how's he?" Asked Hendrick as he dropped his bag and walked over to hold Kiran.

"His temperature hasn't gone back to normal, but I'm sure it will overnight" said doctor Philip as he use his handkerchief to clean the sweat from his face.

"Good evening sweetie" greeted Jenny as she walked into the living room. "How's he doctor?, I have finished preparing the food, should I bring it for him to eat right now?" Asked Jenny.

"He's okay unlike before, make sure to give him food the moment he wakes up, I will be taking my leave now" said doctor Philip as he starts putting his things in his bag. "The time sure do run fast, it's 8:00 already" said the doctor with a sigh.

Jenny wanted to protest on him staying so as to take care of Kiran in case anything was to happened, but remembering that he was a married man and have his wife waiting for him, made her swallow it in as it won't be a good idea for him to stay.

"At least do eat something before you leave, I know the stress isn't easy, I'm sorry about it" said Jenny politely.

"Don't worry yourself about the food, I'm okay and you don't have to feel sorry mrs Hendrick, I'm happy to be of help to the Lopez family" said doctor Philip before walking towards the door so as to go home.
