The doctor didn't say anything more than that, he just walked forward to examine the condition of Karin. After about ten minutes of checking all of his vitals, he turned to face Jenny.

"He's temperature is back to normal and all his vitals are stable, it's surprising, but he is perfectly okay" said the doctor.

"Really?" asked Jenny in disbelief.

"Yes, you guys are good to go, but if you are comfortable with still staying, you are free to stay" said doctor Philip with a smile.

"Thank you very much doc" said Jenny.

"Here is some medicine I prescribed for you to get from the pharmacy in case if his temperature goes up again" said doctor Philip while handling her a paper.

"Thanks very much doc, I sincerely thank you for saving my son life" said Jenny while taking the list.

"It's my job, there is no need to thank me" said doctor Philip.

With the permission of the doctor, Hendrick and his family departed from the hospital after settling the bills, all through the journey, Jenny was all smile as she looked at Karin who was currently awake in her arms.

On getting home, they all settle down to rest the stress of last night, luckily it was Saturday, so they don't have to rush to attend to work or take Layla to school.

Even though the doctor said Karin was perfectly fine and okay, Jenny still couldn't help herself as she looked at Karin. Not even a single sign of yesterday sickness or anything of such to tell that this baby was sick, instead he would be described as a one hundred percent healthy child.

"Sweetie, go and have some rest and leave everything to me, you need some sleep because I clearly know you didn't sleep last night" said Hendrick to his wife.

"I'm fine honey, you don't have to worry about me" said Jenny.

"Why wouldn't you just agree for once without someone putting pressure on you, go get some sleep, I will wake you up when I finish preparing something for us to eat" said Hendrick.

"I know sweetie, I will get some sleep later, just let me stay with Karin a little longer" said Jenny with black bag clearly under her eyes.

"Go get some sleep please, I will take care of Karin and beside the doctor said he is perfectly fine, if he wasn't, he won't have let us discharge him so soon" said Hendrick a little forceful to his wife.

Jenny wanted to protest on staying but the way her husband was consigned about her health made her drop the idea and got up from her chair to walked upstairs so she can get some sleep.

"I should go take my bath first so that I would be able to sleep" said Jenny to herself as she walked to the bathroom.

"Dad, I'm hungry" said Layla as she tapped at Hendrick who was attending to Karin. This was what Hendrick was currently facing downstairs, Karin was crying on one hand while Layla was wailing on the other.

"I know sweetie, go take some cookies, so that you can eat that first before I finished preparing the food" said Hendrick.

"But dad, mom don't usually let me eat cookies in the morning because it's too sweet and might give me a running stomach" said Layla.

"Really?, how about some jam and bread, hope that's okay with you?" asked Hendrick.

"Yeah, I think it will do for now" said Layla.

With Layla trouble out of the way, Hendrick quickly rushed to the kitchen to prepare food for Karin. After about three minutes, he rushed back with a baby bottle containing infant formula. luckily Jenny has already put a kettle of water on the cooker meant to make Karin food, so on getting to the kitchen, he started making the food quickly. After waiting for the bottle of infant formula to cool down, he quickly started feeding Karin.

Two hours later, Jenny woke up from her sleep and walked downstairs, what greeted her was Hendrick carrying Karin who was now sleeping and Layla playing with some toys.

"You woke up just in time, I was about coming to wake you up so we can have our breakfast, it's probably not breakfast anymore perhaps brunch, because it's eleven already" said Hendrick.

"Why didn't you put in on his bed, he is clearly sleeping" said Jenny.

"It hasn't been long he started sleeping" replied Hendrick.

"Wow, how were you able to prepare all this in just some few hours, I really did forget that you were a great cook" said Jenny.

"How could you forget that, didn't you remember that I won your heart due to my miraculous skills in cooking" replied Hendrick while laughing.

"Don't praise yourself too much, do you forget that I was the one who taught you how to cook" said Jenny while laughing also.

"Keep dreaming" replied Hendrick.

"Thanks very much sweetie, please let's start eating, I'm so famished right now" said Jenny.

Hendrick walked to the portable baby cradle that was at the corner of the parlor and drop Karin so he sleep comfortably in his bed, before walking to join his wife who was waiting for him at the dining.

"Layla, wouldn't you come and eat?" asked Jenny to Layla who was still playing with her toys.

"No mom, I've eaten already and I'm currently full" replied Layla.

"Do you really think she would have been able to wait this long before eating?, even before the food was ready, she was already wailing of hunger, so I quickly gave her when the good was ready" said Hendrick.

"Sweetie thank you so much, for everything you have done and still doing for me, words won't be able to express how grateful I am for everything" said Jenny to her husband.

"It's okay sweetie, I promise to be there for you no matter what. come on, let's start eating" said Hendrick as he picked up his cutleries.
