Different from other families

Waking up the next morning, Kiran walked towards his bathroom so as to refresh himself before going downstairs to greet his parents.

Looking at reflection on the mirror, he couldn't take his eyes off it even though it wasn't his first time seeing himself.

'Looks like my muscles is getting bigger and bigger' said Kiran inwardly as he kiss his muscles.

Remembering the last time he look at the mirror and what he saw, he quickly walked away from there so as to not see it again.

Reaching downstairs, he could see his parents were already in the dinning room with different dishes presented on the table.

Greeting his parents, he sat down on his chair so as to join them.

"Mom, why didn't you come wake me up?" Asked Kiran as it was exactly early anymore.

"Didn't you jog for two hours yesterday, I decided to let you be as the effect of yesterday must have gotten to you" said Jenny.

"I don't really have anything to do this morning, so I'm sure it's no big deal sleeping till nine" said Kiran.

"Just make sure it doesn't get use to you in the future" said Hendrick.

"I won't dad" replied Kiran before turning to face his mom. "Mom, why don't you like the idea of having maids, grandma do have them" said Kiran.

"That's different Kiran, I don't want any issue, that's why I prefer doing things on my own, just getting them to do some cleaning everyday is okay, I don't like the idea of them staying" said Jenny as it was how she was doing it.

"What about a driver, what's your reason for not allowing one to drive me anywhere I want to go?" Asked Kiran.

"Your mom do have some trust issues Kiran, but I love her for it, we don't want to be a distinctive parents that why we don't allow it" replied Hendrick.

"I'm not insecure, I just don't like it" retorted Jenny with a glare.

"Son you see, when you are this handsome, any woman would feel insecure of losing you, just hope your wife isn't the same" said Hendrick with a laugh.

"Don't mind your dad Kiran, ever since we have been together, he has never once allow me to go to any type of party without him, that's to tell you how insecure he is" replied Jenny.

"I can very well see that both of you are insecure, you two don't have to keep pointing fingers" said Kiran as he pick his spoon.

"Well it's not my fault in marrying a beautiful wife, any man would be insecure" replied Hendrick as he raise her hand to kiss her knuckle.

"You sure do get it right, we are both insecure, but not to an extreme end" added Jenny.

"Can you two please stop flaunting your love in my face" said Kiran as he advert his eyes. "So are you okay with doing things yourself even with being the six richest family in the country?" Asked Kiran as he jump back to the former topic.

"Our family name might be the six richest family in this country, but that doesn't mean we can't do our things different from other rich family, would you be okay if I was to travel for a month and leave you with some maids?" Asked Jenny.

"You are right, I wouldn't be okay with it, I'm happy we are different from the others" said Kiran.

"I'm happy you understand, don't worry you will have your personal car when you get to eighteen, I'm sure that's why you ask of a driver" said Jenny.

"Thanks mom, you are the best, I do really need my own car so I can go anywhere I want" said Kiran.

"What make you asked about me getting a maid, is there anything you want?" Asked Jenny.

"No, it's just that waking up early to prepare foods for us, isn't it too stressful for you?" Asked Kiran.

"It's not sweetie, I would have complain if it is, beside I love being the one preparing what you guys eat" replied Jenny.

"Wouldn't you guys be going to work today?" Asked Kiran.

"We will, around 11:00" replied Hendrick. "Why do you ask?".

"I would love to follow you so as to see your company and learn some things from it, don't worry, I won't hinder your work" said Kiran.

"Wow, seems my boy have grow up in just the spam of two days, do you know how long I have been waiting for you to say this?" Asked Hendrick.

"What!, why didn't you just tell me if you wanted me to accompany you to work?" asked Kiran.

"I don't want to be the type of father who will force his child to do what he doesn't want, that's why I didn't tell you" replied Hendrick.

"What about me son, don't you want to follow me to my place of work?" Asked Jenny with a raise eyebrow.

"It's a father and son relationship, just like you and Layla, I'm sure Layla would love to follow you to your place of work" said Kiran while laughing.

"Ooh, now I see, are you two getting back at me for what Layla said?" Asked Jenny.

"Didn't our daughter said it's a mother and daughter relationship, therefore this is a father and son relationship" said Hendrick with a slight chuckle.

"Don't worry mom, I will follow you to work when next I'm free" said Kiran.

"Are you betraying me, son?" Asked Hendrick causing all of them to laugh.

"Sweetie, have you check the documents I sent to you?" Asked Jenny as she look at her husband.

"I have, don't worry, I will handle it" said Hendrick. "Or I can just tell you what to do, which do you prefer".

"So when will you be coming to the company to handle it?" Asked Jenny not caring to pick an option.

"How about I come today so Kiran can see both our place of work" said Hendrick.

"That would be good" replied Jenny as she continue eating.
