Appointment

Quickly leaving the office, the father and son duo hurriedly entered into their car as they could see the time was already long gone for their appointment.

"You know you could have just let me finish before leaving the office, right?" said Kiran as he couldn't finish what he was doing before being drag out of the office.

"Do you want an earful from your mom, that's what we are going to get from her for coming late" replied Hendrick.

"What's so important that we have to hurriedly go to the other cooperation?" Asked Kiran.

"Your mom is having some issue with her business partners, she therefore needs another representatives of the company so as to solve the issue and that's me" said Hendrick.

"In other cases, mom couldn't solve it on her own, so she needs you to come solve it?" asked Kiran.

"When you put it that way, you are trying to say your mom is not competent enough, make sure she doesn't hear you" replied Hendrick with a chuckle.

"Don't misinterpreted my words dad, I didn't say anything as such, I only asked a question and instead of you answering it, you change my words" said Kiran.

"Seems I can't beat you when it comes to words" said Hendrick with a slight laugh.

Driving with a considerable speed, they finally made it to their other cooperation which wasn't too different from the one they were coming from not too long ago.

With the building being exactly the same design and structure, it won't take a genius to know that it also belongs to the Lopez family.

Stepping out of the car, they both walked into the building. Seeing as everyone was greeting his dad as they walked inside, Kiran was surprised as it seems that not only does his cooperation respect him but so was his mom's.

Entering inside the elevator and pressing the highest number on it. It took them to the top before they walked about and enter into another.

Reaching the last twenty floor, Hendrick press his card against the elevator scanner before it took them to the last floor on top.

Following behind his dad, they walked into one of the office where he could see his mom sitting on a desk with all her focus being on a file she was reading.

"You guys are late, do you know how afraid I was that you won't be coming?" Said Jenny as she continue continue looking at the file.

"How do you know it was us?" Asked Kiran as he could see she didn't raise her head from the file she was reading.

"She must have saw us through the see through glass, it's no big deal" said Hendrick to Kiran. "We aren't late, we are two minutes early" replied Hendrick to Jenny.

"Didn't we agree on meeting 2:30 so you can give me some insight before the meeting" said Jenny as she stare at him after saving her work.

"Wow, I thought you said 3:00, Well it isn't my fault, it's all thanks to Kiran we came this late, he didn't inform me of the time when I clearly told him to do so" replied Hendrick as he look at Kiran.

"Don't blame me for your mistake of not setting an alarm, I'm clearly not one" retorted Kiran with a little chuckle.

"Yeah don't blame him for your mistake" seconded Jenny.

Seeing as his wife and son was ganging against him, he sighed as he know he doesn't have a chance to win against them.

"Okay, I admit it was my fault, can we go know, it's three already" said Hendrick.

"Sweetie, stay in the office and don't come out, you can use that computer over there to do whatever you want, it's open" said Jenny before turning to walked out.

"Wait mom, I haven't eaten" said Kiran as Jenny was just about to walked out.

"You didn't order food for him to eat?" Asked Jenny in disbelief as she didn't expect Hendrick to starve their son.

"It slipped my mind, he didn't inform me he was hungry and beside he's not a kid anymore, he can go order whatever he want" said Hendrick defending himself from the deathly stare of Jenny.

"Just stay in the office, my assistant will bring something for you to eat" said Jenny as she know they were late already.

"Wish you all the best" said Kiran before they walked out of the office.

Walking out, she quickly call her assistant before telling her what to do as they hurriedly walked to attend the meeting.

Sitting on the other desk in the office, he log into the other computer before putting all his attention in it.

Hearing the sound of the door opening, Kiran raise his head from computer and turn to face the door only to see a young woman waking inside with a bag on her hand.

"Good afternoon mister" greeted Jenny assistant before dropping the food on his desk.

"Good afternoon ma, thanks for ordering the food" thanked Kiran.

"It's no problem" said the woman with a soft tone as she know who Kiran was.

"How's work and everything, hope it isn't too stressful?" Asked Kiran.

"Work is going smoothly, it isn't stressful at all" replied the woman.

'For a boy of his age, his confidence is outstanding, he do have an aura of confidence around him' said Flora inwardly as she look at Kiran.

"That's good to hear, please you can leave now, I don't want to be an hindrance to your work, I can take care of myself here" said Kiran as he turned back to continue tying on his computer.

"Your mom instructed me to stay with you and beside I'm currently free right now" said Flora politely, causing Kiran to raise his head from the computer he was pressing.

"You don't have to bother yourself, I can take care of myself, please do go continue your work" said Kiran while staring at her.

"Okay then, I will take my leave now" replied Flora as she walked out of the office.
