Chapter 4: Results (Almost Seven)

Konoha Year 57, Second Month, First Week, Sixth Day.

(First Person PoV)

Inosuke and Inoshiki spread out from the field and sprayed the liquid lime all over the flattened field— Thanks to Pochi's large body, flating the soils was possible.

The water underneath all of the dirt layer had already been sucked off by Eli.

What's left was for the two duo, out at the field, to spread the lime and wait for the soil to be neutralize.

After telling all of the Engineering Unit great job, I told them to take a day rest. I did not stay any longer and head inside Sakumo's house.

"Whoa," I let out a sound of suprise, "What happened here?"

Before me was an exhausted Sakumo and the Fuinjutsu masters I hired from a club. Baggy eyes were visible underneath their eyeballs, I could see from the corner of their eyes that some had already turned purple.

"You brat! You better pay us honestly!" Shouted from the man with a mustache.

"Yeah!" Agreed by the other — by the way, how did I not noticed this before? The people I've hire were triplets, although there were peculiar appearances that can tell the three of them apart — with thick eyebrows, reminiscing a worm.

"Just... hah... hehhh... pay... us!" Supplied by the other brother whose appearance, over all, is a combanation between the other two.

"Don't take their words from the heart, Tobias-kun," Sakumo butted in, "Its... just that... wait, let me catch my breath first,"

I shrugged in answer. After a few moments later, with Sakumo returning back from his kitchen to bring four glass of water and each distributed them to the brothers, he continued,

"Creating 267 seals, modified for your work to not be plagiarized, sucked all of our stamina 'till we're exhausted."

For a moment, I felt bad for pressuring the four Fuinjutsu Masters though it was gone in less than ten seconds. Mentally shaking my head, pulsing my chakra on the storage seal I sticked on my wrist and brought out a briefcase, containing nine-hundred-thousand Ryo's, and left it on the ground.

"Here's your payment."

"You sure knows how to keep a word, don't ya?"

"Yeah!"

"Let's just take this and get out of here," said the brother, who had the combination appearance of his two other brothers, after checking that the briefcase is containing are real moneys and are not shady. From this action alone, was enough proof to correctly assume that they've been scammed before.

"Nice working with you." I said sincerely, "You know what to—"

I was cut off before I could even finish my sentence, however, what he said next was enough to assure me.

"Who are you and why're you blocking my way?"

Smirking at his remark, I stepped aside and let the three brothers leave the house.

"Thank you so much for your help," I bowed down, sincerely, "You're a business saver, Sakumo-san!"

Sakumo awkwardly chuckled as he lightly scratched his right dimple. Although, he didn't say anything else making me assume that he still thinks that he's only repaying his so-called debt to me for saving him. I stand with what I said before, I didn't save Sakumo's life, I simply gave him a reality check of what the possibilities effect might occur should his death prevail.

Even if he died, there was nothing I could do but sit back and raise my business.

Heck, I didn't even know that Sakumo was still alive before bumping into him.

"What's the matter?" Asked Vu as he sat besides me on the stool, "Didn't I tell you that we need to limit our interaction?"

"Look who's finally here!" I smile d in mockery.

"OK," Nora continued, "Vu, you're acting a bit off. Keep it up and bandage-guy will officially start suspecting you instead of doubting you!"

"Isn't 'suspecting' and 'doubting' are basically synonyms?" said Akiro, adding his hands for air quotes.

"Doubting is being unsure of something and suspecting means one is cautious about someone," Nora sneered with bitterness. Her eyes held exasperation, making me guess that they just have the similar argument earlier... or maybe every time.

Before their little debate could expand a bit more futher, I interfered.

"Oh, for fuck sake," I cussed, "I called you two here for a meeting not to listen to your little debate on whether or not doubting and suspecting are synonyms — which, by the way, they are,"

"Yes!" Akiro slapped his hands.

"... and also, both words held different meanings,"

Which made Nora snorted, directly at Akiro.

"And," I turned my attention towards Vū, "I stand with what Nora said— the guy had already doubted your little lie about some of the money being burnt down by a fire jutsu, which, fortunately, died out by your water jutsu. We can't risk him being suspicious as to why the change of your activities when normally you'd usually be following me around and work with the constructions!" The last sentences ended up being hissed at his direction. Added with a little unintentionally saliva being spat at his face.

"You're disgusting," I sneered, "And how do you, exactly, suggest of what I should be doing?" He said, raising his eyebrows.

"We shall get on with that later but first," I took out three papers from my pocket, each paper cosnist eighty-nine locations of the ondol home user. "I need the three of you to put the these seals inside of the— every where! As long as it's connected to the main system of the function and you don't mess everything up."

"Hold on, did you just arrange this meeting to get us work on a some sort of errand from your business?"

"Yes." I replied, shamelessly, with no hesitation.

"You're even shameless than a single piece of shit I known of,"

"And who is this, 'single-piece-of-shit,', might I ask?"

"None of your goddamned business!" She hissed as she almost slammed her hand on the table.

"Do this and I'll give the three fo you a sword technique."

"De—" Nora covered Akiro's mouth, who was no doubt was about to say yes.

Damn this girl.

[Sounds like someone has a fetish for older girls.]

Where the heck did this idea came from?!

'Shut up! And for the record, I most certainly do not have a fetish for older girls.'

[Whatever helps you sleeps at night...]

I'm so done with this System.

"Tell me the details of the techniques first."

Oh, okay. I already expected that this kind of scenario might occur so I prepared my statements.

"First, is Beast Breathing,"

"I can already tell, given by the name, that it is some kind of a shitty technique."

I ignored her remarks and continued my explaination.

"It is a sword technique that mimics a beast or wild animals, specifically their unpredictable, ferocious and wild nature, including movements, attacks and senses, and replicates it with the one's movements, techniques and abilities. Most, if not all, known techniques and forms are simple, straight-forward yet wild, unpredictable and animalistic movements and attacks, although one of them utilizes the powerful sense of touch to replicate an animal's primal senses."

Thanks to my superb photographic memory, I can easily explain the fighting style of the Beast Breathing without messing up my words. And so, I added, "Which is perfect for you, Nora, since your skin is quite sensitive."

"I beg of you to save your sentimental remarks, clearly as the name had suggested, it is absurd... But I'll take it."

I smack my lips, "Well, it was nice negotiating with you," I held out a hands expecting a her to shake it but, as the same as our first meeting, she didn't took it.

"Wait, just like that?" Said Vū, "You're not even letting us—"

"Shut it and get to work. Besides if the guy doesn't reward us properly, we'll kill him."

"You know you—"

"Do I look like someone who cares about ones title that I wouldn't not hesitate to kill them?" She rhetorically asked Akiro. Fuck, I could already feel the goosebumps running through my spine, "No, right? Now let's go!"
