A Long Time Coming

Since neither Claire nor Alex had any family the Jorgensens had taken on the de facto role of aunt/uncle/cousins. She was thoroughly convinced Heather was an angel since she had five kids to keep track of and still bothered attending games/meets of Ethan's as well. If their roles were reversed, Claire wasn't so sure she would have the time or energy to do the same. 

Ethan was very good friends with Oliver Jorgensen since they were only a year apart and, of course, his former training buddies Nolan and Zoe. He got along well with the twins too even though they were a few years younger.

He smiled. "Cool. Where's Alex? Isn't he normally home this time of day?"

"He's at the dentist and is going to work straight from there," Claire replied with a shrug.

"Ah…when do I have to go to the dentist again?"

"Not until the fall so you're good for a while longer, don't worry. But you do still have an orthodontist appointment in two weeks."
