Prince Gregory nodded, a small smile lifting the corners of his lips. "Any royal coven can insist on a vote for anything at any time."
"So. . . we could essentially insist on votes for random things for as long as we want, and the royal coven council will have to play along. . ." A devilish grin flashed across Sabella's face. "That means we can keep the council so damn busy King Draven won't have time to hunt Piper."
"Exactly." Prince Gregory gently tugged me to his side, and I leaned into him for support. "First, though, let's try to tie the vote so the Zoya can cast the final vote. I'm sure my father will try to appeal it and argue, but he's nothing if not set in his ways. If he tries to overthrow the tie-breaking vote, we remind him - and the council - of our ways, our traditions."
