A QUIET WAR FRONT
* During my stay in the capital city as a cadet I've heard a lot about the captain called Mason garnet, but have never met him.
Captain Mason garnet, a man of authority, he is the superior of the 10th aircopter division and to what I've heard about him, he neglects joy and hates comfort, what kind of a man is that? *
Wilson dariket stood in front of the AC division nervous as hell, but he must let himself in, this is where he now belongs.
The squadron was a big one, it's among the major division in the warmen troops.
The hall was black in colour, the roofs were left open and the pillars changes it's form time after time.
The hall gave Wilson a warm welcome, and gave him a new concept about the division, he felt like he was made to be here.
He walked deeper into the hall and saw no one.
" Where's everyone " he asked himself.
" How can I be of help to you " he heard a voice across the room, he turned and saw a pale looking man staring at him.
" Uhm I passed my recruitment process and I was given a letter of recommendation to uhm... give captain Mason garnet " Wilson said.
" Is that so " the man said and walked closer to Wilson.
" Give it to me " the man added.
" I was told not to give the letter to anyone else " Wilson said with a smirk on his face.
" Do I look like am joking?" the man said but this time his voice was a bit aggressive than before.
* I looked closely and then it came to my mind in a flash, i am standing face to face with the division captain, Mason garnet, indeed what they said about him wasn't a lie he was cold as hell, but if he acts this way how will the commander look like, that was something I erased out of my head, it's better to face the demon I can actually see. *
" Wilson dariket eh, a pleasure to have you in this division. It says here that you are moltivated and expectant to withstand whatever comes your way, and can hide your emotions in other to proof that you are capable. If that's so get dressed we are going on a field trip, be fast or this might be your first and last day being a war soldier " he said and walked to another pathway where I heard him say loudly.
" Your kit is in the first room to your left ".
* My first day is my first battle, this is it.
I opened the door to see about a hundred war soldiers getting ready for the road trip which they all emphasized on. I on the other hand got dressed neatly, funny how the uniform came fit on me *
" So you are part of the new guys " a more matured teenager said to me.
" Yeah uhm what are going to do on a field trip when it's not safe out there?"
" It's no field trip a normal mind can imagine, we are going to the quiet war front, am Elliot heaves by the way " he said smiling at me.
" Wilson, Wilson dariket " I replied.
...Making friends might be easy until they die trying to protect what they believe in.....
* In a flash we all got dressed and ready for departure,we stood uniformly at the airstrip where the commander and the captain stood in front of us *
" My name is general Duff rifles, you already know your Captain. Well, we are all here for one purpose, kill and extinct those monsters, we are not the ones trained to find about their origin so we do what we do best, we fight. " he said and walked off.
" Grab your gears it's a time of our lives, our future, for freedom " the captain screamed as everyone started running to warcopters spread across the airport.
" Try not to die on your first day will " Elliot said as we got into an aircopter.
" I'll try " I answered breathing heavily.
TWO DAYS LATER.
" The battle fought by the 10th division has given us an upper hand against this monsters, even if it's end I think it'll be better if we have the better odds " the defence general said to his comrades.
" Before we go, I want us to give a one minute silence to our brave comrades as well as our good friend Duff rifles " the defense general added before everyone was dismissed.
BACK YO PRESENT DAY...
" In a brief moment we'll all be facing our deaths but the big question is are you able to overcome the bastard we call death " the captain said as we landed.
* We landed with the sound of gunshots and screams all over the area, how the hell will this place be called the quiet war front *
" Out out out " our group leader kept screaming as the door opened.
* I came out with my gun, well we've been taught on how to shoot a target down so it wasn't a big deal. The moment we came down some of us started taking positions, but there was no enemy nearby, all of a sudden the ground started shaking like thousand of soldiers running wild the same time *
" Get ready " the commander screamed.
* I took a deep breath, if it's time then I'll fight *
The war began even if they thought they had an upper hand bringing a thousand warmen into the Frontline, but they were totally wrong.
* We were closing in on them thinking we had them cornered but we were cut short of our joy when another wave of this beast rocked us badly.
I was in my position taking them down one after the other with the help of Elliot and a guy name coal Justin, when a bomb was fired towards us.....BOOOM.... everything went dark *
" Get your ass up dariket we need to fight back " Elliot shouted even if he knows he'd been injured.
" Who fired the bombs?" Justin asked.
" They are the ones shooting at us " Elliot replied.
* I got up, picked up my gun and continued shooting, I looked at my left and saw a girl shooting out in the open, with a monster flanking her *
" Shit " I muttered.
" Behind you " the commander shouted.
* Before she could turn around, the monster pounced on her trying it's best to ravage her, I ran from my position and dived the monster screaming at her *
" Shoot it ".
She got up and shot it.
" Good job soldier maybe....."
The commander was unable to finish sentence before a monster had it's fangs in his neck.
" Noooo " I yelled.
* But there was another bomb but this time it was ours, a rapid fire was made destroying and leveling the field plain, I got up staggering, I ran to the commander, with the monster Already dead, but the commander was still breathing.
" Nice job soldiers it's my time. for the future " he said lastly and kept quiet.
The clouds broke open as rain started to fall.
" Let it wash our pain away " Elliot said.
* I just kept quiet. Closed my eyes and all I could see was black, was there something else I was expecting *
" It's over " the captain said running to us then he saw the commander on the ground.
" May his soul rest in peace, for his efforts has given us victory today " the captain said as we carried his body into the warcopters, headed home.
" What now?" I asked Elliot who sat quiet beside me but he managed to answer.
" Today we provided that we are capable even if we lost the commander we still won, but you asked what now, we prepare for the next ".
* I hope I'll be ready, after what I saw today, I got to say, am now a warman *
