Warlock of the Magus World : Shadow Knight Path

What if Leylin was not the only person who reincarnated in the Magus world? What would this additional variable change in the story? A/N: Story will be completely different from the original. Cover Art does not belong to me ;)

The Golden Lion Villa Guard Order

After congratulated by Emma, George resumed his training. Even though he had crushed four knights in the arena this day, it was not a good enough reason for him not to train. Knowing that he would basically become the wealthiest individual in Melvinger City, George had long since decided to improve the standards of the soldiers guarding it.

[Golden Lion Villa Guard Order]

It was a force to reckon with, as there were 15 veteran soldiers, aged 25, all of them bloodied already on real battlefields. However, rather than their physical strength, it was their utmost loyalty towards the master of the Golden Lion Villa that made them useful.

They were orphans, purchased and raised in a very harsh environment in Melvinger's Underworld. Out of the 20 orphans purchased and trained, only 15 survived the ordeals. They were brainwashed into thinking of the master of the Golden Lion Villa as their savior.

Castrated, they were immune to the charm of the opposite sex.

Ignorant, they were immune to the vice of greed and corruption.

Alive, they felt no fear if they were to fight intruders.

Mute and illeterate, they could only communicate with each others with the language of sign, and they would never spill a secret. The only one who had not had his tongue cut out was the leader of the guard: 'Ugly Rat', as they called him. He also happened to have learned how to read from the old butler James, after George insisted on it.

The 15 members of the Golden Lion Villa were not very strong, but they suited George's taste: loyal war slaves who were unlikely to ever betray him.

As George monitored the training of his soldiers, he nodded in acknowledgement.

All 15 members of the Golden Lion Villa Guard Order had not only reached the preparatory knight level, but their swordsmanship had risen from beginner proficiency to intermediate proficiency under his demonstration of skills. George rarely taught them individually, but he would occasionally oversee their training while sparring with them, pointing out their major flaws.

Erasing those flaws allowed them to reach a realm that most soldiers would never achieve in a lifetime. Most knights would be stuck in the intermediate swordsmanship realm for a lifetime. Only a handful would reach the advanced realm. As for knights reaching the expert realm, they were very scarce. Most Grand Knights, however, would eventually reach the expert realm.

However, the one that surprised George the most was 'Ugly Rat', their captain. Ever since he was 11, he displayed tremendous potential from what the seller of the Golden Lion Villa told him. Besides his superior intellect, he also showed tremendous martial talent, and he was hence spared from mutilation.

He also happened to be the only one who reached the advanced swordsmanship realm, which many knights would find incredibly hard to attain in their lifetime. He absorbed George's advice like a sponge. While George might need to repeat the same things to the same slave 4 or 5 times before they applied it in spars, Ugly Rat only needed to hear it once. In a way, Ugly Rat was a martial genius, and George could be considered the best teacher in the world, since his biochip allowed him to display the physical limits of his subordinates and their major flaws almost instantly.

The sight of 15 War Slaves swinging their swords in perfect harmony was a sight to behold. It also served as an exercise. He was pretty sure that the time would come when he would need to implement training methods to raise an army capable of conquering the world.

Magi were strong in battles, but in the end, they were only one individual. If he wanted to conquer the Southern Continent, he would need authority and enough military power to conquer kingdoms and crush armies.
