New Gear

It has been a while since me and Alexandra partied up to so quests and we reached level 100 in no time. In that time Oreal had a person deliver my new gear starting from the clothes then the armor. The clothes I obtained her plain in colour thanks to the persistent of Oreal since I don't standing out. I had a new shirt and pants.

Shirt of the Cyclops Slayer Durability: 100/100 Defence: 30

Made from the leather of a slain Cyclops, it gives much defence in all areas. However it causes all Cyclops to be natural enemies of the one that wears this.

Requirements: Level 100

Options:

- Fame increase by 50

- Increase hostility from Cyclops

- Increase Physical defence

- Decrease blunt damage on wearer

Pants of the Cyclops Slayer Durability: 100/100 Defence: 30

Made from the leather of a slain Cyclops, it gives much defence in all areas and is soft for wear. However it causes all Cyclops to be natural enemies of the one that wears this.

Requirements: Level 100

Options:

- Fame increase by 50

- Increase hostility from Cyclops

- Lowers chance of negative status effects

- Decrease blunt damage on wearer

- Increase Agility by 20

They pretty much did the same thing but since I have the set, it doubles the effects I'm getting from them which was very useful. The next thing I got was a set of light armor to use. It was also made from Cyclops leather but also had Cyclops bones in it.

Leather Chest piece of the Power Durability: 130/130 Defence: 50

Enchanted with the bones of a Cyclops, this chest piece is made more stronger than normal. However it is still made primary of leather so the defence isn't as high as it could be. But the materials used as leather is of high ranking so the decrease isn't much.

Requirements: level 100

Options:

- Fame increase by 100

- Decrease damage from projectiles

- Increase Strength by 15

- Increase Agility by 10

Well apparently Ryan only had time to make this chest piece but since I had other equipment already, it was all fine. The durability and defence of it was really really high for a level 100 gear. Ryan got hold of the information that I was a mage so he didn't make me any weapons as well though I didn't have any kind of restriction involving weapons. I equipped them and realised how much stronger my character was with proper gear on.

My defences practically doubled and I only feel a bit heavier than normal. Another thing is that my infamy went to zero after completing a number of quests for the city. Now NPCs don't try to avoid me and increase their prices by 100%. However there was something bothering me.

"We need another person in our party." said Alexandra while we were getting lunch.

She was kind enough to treat me lunch and the first thing she said was this. Was she trying to make me feel guilty and accept whatever request she has? Or is this a scheme to get rid of me?

"Why do we need another person" I said objecting to the fact that I have to deal with another person besides her.

I seriously have trouble dealing with people in this game since most of them role play in some way that they wouldn't have in real life and you see many many people acting like bandits or knights consistently.

"Well our party is very unbalanced." retorted Alexandra.

Well I was a 'mage' that had overpowered spells and could do physical stuff as well while Alexandra was a 'paladin' that had a number of offensive, defensive and support skills which made her able to play every role a party needs. In a sense we are unbalanced but overpowered at the same time.

I don't see a way to include another person without making them feel useless. Alexandra was frowning at this fact.

Man I'm weak to sad girls.

"You can find a person but that person has to be pretty good and similar to our level." I said trying to cheer this fool up.

Alexandra smiled at the fact that I approved of her search. But instead of leaving to find that person she stayed here for some reason.

"Why aren't you leaving?" I asked, curious on why she didn't leave yet.

Alexandra smiled and said, "I'm curious about you."

Was this the infamous pick up line?

"To be more precise your magic."

Well that was a short fantasy. With a sigh I said, "What about my magic?"

Alexandra took a bite out of her sandwich before continuing.

"Well magic use 'circles' to formulate the spell before casting and to even use a spell you have to learn it first. Both doesn't seem to apply to you though. This this due to your class?"

I remembered Warlic explanation on how magic worked. I can't recall it but I know how to do it but not how to explain it. Well I should tell her part of the truth in exchange of some info on her as well.

[You can either give her the whole true and hope for the best or give or part of the truth, hoping for the best in the future]

Why are you so cautious about Alexandra. She seems to be a nice person.

[She has the scent of the Gods on her]

Well all people who are part of the church does. What's the problem.

[I'm feeling a large quantity and quality of the power of the Gods through her. Not just one but a majority of the Gods that exist in this world]

Well I'll be careful then.

"I learned this kind of magic before I got a class. Also before you request information on other you should tell me more about yourself." I responded.

I was kinda hoping that she would blush like how you see in those novels and movies. But there was no respond.

Alexandra sighed and said, "Fine lets make a deal. I request on information on you and you can request information of equal value on me."

"In that case what's your breast size?" I asked without thinking. Shit that was the wrong choice....

SLAP

"Sorry...." I cried. My right cheek was red. Hey llyfr does my wounds heal fast.

[Hmm? Yeah it does why?]

No reason.

"Give me information on your magic or else" said Alexandra with a fierce look on her face.

Shit if I oppose her than I'm worse than dead. I noted in the back of my mind to never oppose Alexandra or else something bad could happen to me at a certain time.

Cough

I started to talk about my magic.

"Well the magic I use is a bit different then the one in this world. You can say its a different type of magic altogether....more ancient. Instead of following a set of formula to use a spell, I create the formula itself to cast a spell. This gives me more variety than any other mage in existence but at the same time is weaker than normal magic in general. Most spells are made form formulae that has been perfected over centuries to give the best stability and power in general. My magic is a bit more unstable."

Well that was all I knew in general about the magic Warlic taught me. It wasn't much since I think I passed out mid way and yet the information is stuck in my mind. I looked at Alexandra and saw that she had a very shocked look on her face.

"That can't be all! If what your saying is true then your using very powerful ancient magic! The main reason why such magic is not wide spread is that its too dangerous. Has a spell ever failed on you?"

Umm what? Help me out here llyfr. Llyfr took a moment and made it so that its voice could be heard my Alexandra as well.

[Alexandra I am the existence known as llyfr]

"Eh what? A voice? Where?" said Alexandra in confusion.

[Calm down. I'm in Eden right now due to some circumstances]

"I see." Alexandra gave a sympathetic look at me but it wasn't for me but for llyfr for some reason. Wait, what's wrong with me that you would sympathise with llyfr?!

[Well never mind that, you wanted an explanation on how Eden's magic works right?]

"Yeah"

[Well Eden explained the basics of it already on how he creates the formulae for his spells. I'm going to explain some of the other details. You want to know why Eden never failed to cast his magic correct?]

"Yes, that's something I can't understand" said Alexandra in a plea. Is me using that kind of magic that strange?

[The reason why Eden didn't die yet on using such magic is because my existence prevents him from doing such a stupid thing]

Eh? Did you just insult me llyfr? Why would you do that? I though you were my friend....

[Anyway my existence is a pile of knowledge. Eden unconsciously with my help was keeping himself from getting killed by his own magic. But each time he fails some mana gets taken up to fix the problem and the spell runs as normal]

"How comes I don't notice my mana decreasing that much?" I asked llyfr.

[That's because you have more mana then you can use so it doesn't affect you]

"Wait what's with this conversation? What do you mean Eden had more mana than he can use?" asked Alexandra still shocked of how the conversation went.

[Hmm? Eden has the power to absorb an infinite amount of mana because it was my power originally. Well since I'm in him right now, Eden isn't human anymore]

"Now we need to know something about you" I said with a evil smile on my face.

She DID suggest a even exchange of information. Llyfr gave her enough information to warrant something back. Alexandra seeing the look on my face was very confused now. She paused for a moment before speaking about myself.

"Well I'm a different kind of paladin then you normally see. I'm afflicted with all churches that are not considered evil. Basically I have the very rare blessing of Gods but it doesn't give me any noticeable bluffs or anything since my title and class are themselves are considered the gifts of the Gods."

[That explains why I feel the presence of the Gods in you in such quantity and quality]

I felt that llyfr sighed just now. Was he relieved that this person wouldn't be an enemy or disappointed that Alexandra wasn't what it thought she would be. That reminds me...Alexandra has a title as well right? I wonder what it is. I might as well ask for her class as well.

"Hey Alexandra what's your class and title?" I asked.

Alexandra gave an evil smile to me saying that I fell into her trap. Shit! Now I have to give information on myself first!

I continued with my sentence with, "By the way my class is called 'Awdur Dim' and my title is 'Darllenydd o'r holl' so please tell me...."

Alexandra smiled at me knowing that she has me in her grasps and said while whispering, "My class is 'Holy Templar' and my title is 'Shining Crusader' also I'm kinda interested in your stats now. Show me and I'll show you mine."

Well there doesn't seem to be any harm in that but I don't havea choice here do I.

I believe my status window appeared for Alexandra since I saw her facial expression change a couple of times while she was looking at it.

After a while she said, "Share Status Window with Eden." Well its time to check on her stats as well. I hope that it isn't that bad since most players will have stats that are inferior to mine due to my bonuses from my race, class and title. I quickly scanned through the status window.

Well her stats are more well balanced than my one. I just placed points in whatever stat I want to since its not going to make much of a difference anyway but I can clearly see that Alexandra was aiming for a melee type character but had other stats as well she has to increase like faith. I can't help to notice that she has two stats that I don't which are leadership and luck.....those stats weren't generated when I create my character even though it should've have....damn did the game glitch out for me?

"Eden your stats are....overpowered. You don't even have health! Does healing work on you?" Alexandra started throwing questions at me left and right. Well first I want to get some explanation on her skills.

"I'll answer your questions if you tell me your skills." I said sneakily.

Well these skills are very interesting. I expected her to have sword mastery, holy mastery and the sword wave skill but the other four skills I also see are unique as far as I know. With the exception of the Crusade Sprint skill, all the other skills are used in a party. Its a wonder on hoe she manages to avoid getting recruitment offers from guilds especially since they flock to anyone that seems powerful.

Speaking of guilds that one guild I pissed off didn't do anything to me yet. I was half expecting for them to send out some of their guys to harass or try to kill me. After I finished looking at her skills I looked at Alexandra to see that she was looking at me with hatred. Hey did wasn't my fault that you were tricked by me when you were asking me so many questions.

Out of pity I said, "Share Skill Window with Alexandra"

After that her facial expression was more positive towards me. Its kinda fun to manipulate someone else's emotion like that.

"Eden even your skills are even more overpowered! I never heard of a person with such ridiculous skills before! You're literally invincible in wars where there's countless people fighting each other."

Pfft

"I wish I could just fight on such terms. Unfortunately my fights are usually alone due to the nature of my skills and more then often I have to face powerful foes for some reason."

I looked back at all the enemies I faced. Most of them were utter trash so I could handle them but some of the other ones simply overpowered even me. Man I have the worse luck ever in facing foes.

"That reminds me, I still haven't friended you. Would you like to be friends?"

"Fine" I said without much thought in it. It really didn't matter to me either way.
