You can skip this next part if you want to it's not necessary but it's how I like to picture the characters in my head! It's also a super sappy letter for my husband.

I want to dedicate this book to the love of my life. You have saved my life more times than I can count and for that I thank you. I am so blessed to have lived this life loving you.

Most of the "Dear John" letters you'll read in the story are taken straight from the letters my husband and I wrote during his time in basic training. As you read this he's actually just finishing and will be home in a few weeks! I'm so glad to be able to write about this experience because it's really been an outlet for me to release all of the emotions I pent up inside.
