I jumped from branch to branch as I headed for the area. I slowed as I neared the area and looked around the area looking for danger. I saw the men in the trench guarding the area and looked for a good vantage point one could use for surveillance. I spotted a tree close by on a higher area and I headed for it moving completely silent. Now that I had warmed up a little I was moving much more silently. I soon reached the area around the tree and slowed looking for danger and almost immediately I spotted a sniper gun in the tree. I looked down at the ground and saw no one. I frowned and narrowed my eyes thinking.
I knew the enemy was watching our troops. They were probably going to attack while the night troops were relieved of their duty for the night. I crouched thinking what I could do. I spotted movement on the ground and looked spotting a man. I knew it was the enemy and then I saw a few more men follow the first one and they stood under the tree with the sniper gun in it. I listened as they started to speak softly in Portuguese
The first guy to appear said "so that is when they are at their weakest." Another guy said "yes" I watched as a guy nodded his head "then we shall attack then. Tomorrow morning" another guy nodded "yes, then we will control their base and enslave all those that survive. Or give up" another guy spoke "oh yeah and to torture all of their information out of them"
I narrowed my eyes and headed back not even bothering to listen to the rest of the conversation. I needed to tell my brother. I paused on my way back to base. How would I explain how I got out of base and found the enemy all without anyone knowing? I frowned thinking headed back and then I grinned as I got an idea to solve my problem. I knew my files hadn't reached my brother yet. So I would have to work in the shadows till then and besides I didn't want to show my true abilities until absolutely necessary. I was going to alter the files for the night guards and get my team to be there on guard tomorrow night. I hurried on my way soon seeing the fence and stopped in a tree at the edge of the fence.
I waited for a guard to pass before I jumped over the fence and back into the base. I silently headed towards the commanding officer's tent. I knew doing this was going to be risky but I could think of no other way to do this. I managed to get to the commanding officer's tent without being noticed and I snuck along the side of the tent making little to no more sound than a mouse would. I made it to the door and slid inside and somehow managed not to get noticed.
I slid in and quickly ducked into the shadows. I froze hidden in the shadows. My brother was still up and was working at his desk. I frowned thinking. Togima hadn't noticed my entrance. I wiggled my jaw. It looked like I would have to wait for my brother to fall asleep. I watched Togima as he was writing something on a paper.
I watched Togima. To me he looked exhausted and just about ready to pass out from lack of sleep. I watched knowing it would be a game of patience till Togima fell asleep. I stood relaxed waiting. If I could do anything well it was waiting unnoticed. I may no longer be able to sit still like a normal person but I could stay completely still when on the hunt or when trying to stay hidden. I watched Togima as he sighed and set his pen down. Togima rubbed his eyes and yawned. I watched as he picked the pen back up and started writing again. I watched thinking about the men I had seen.
I watched as Togima soon put his pen up and carefully aligned his papers before stapling them together. He then put them in a basket and he stood stretching with a yawn. I watched as Togima headed for his bed unbuttoning his shirt. I watched and listened as he hung his shirt up. I watched as my brother climbed into his bed and listened as his breathing become the calm steady breathing of one who is fast asleep.
I crept over to his desk and looked over everything on his desk but didn't find what I wanted. I then carefully opened his drawers and looked through his papers in the drawers. I smiled as I found the paper I wanted. I read through the paper before I started to edit it to get my team to be the night guard. I nodded as I finished and put the paper up. I looked over to my sleeping brother and sighed softly before I slid out of the tent and headed for my own tent. I soon reached the tent and entered. I jumped up on my bed and lay down thinking of my next move.
I sat up as I heard the others start to wake. I looked to the others and narrowed my eyes as I heard gunshots in the direction of the night guards. I quickly grabbed my two handguns and grabbed their holsters out of my bag and strapped them to my waist and put my guns in them. I then grabbed a set of extra clips. I jumped off my bed and strapped my knife to the back of my belt and headed for the door. A man came running in and gasped for breath.
"Enemy attack!"
I clenched my fist and looked to the others who were starting to get ready. The enemy must have changed their plans. I waited and saw, Buck not going to put on his kevlar shirt. It was a super high fiber shirt that would not allow bullets to pass through. It had saved many lives since it had been made.
"Buck you'll need your kevlar shirt" Buck looked at me and scowled "what about you?" I shrugged "I already have mine on" Buck growled "no you don't" I shrugged "I do" I pinched my black skin tight shirt. Buck growled "they don't make Kevlar shirts in that color" I shrugged "well that's true but only because I never gave the tech foreman the chemical formula to make them in black."
Buck frowned then shook his head and grabbed his bulletproof shirt and put it on "whatever" he muttered. I waited soon everyone was ready and we exited the tent. I looked towards where I could hear the gunfire. I soon noticed Togima hurrying towards our group. Togima stopped in front of us and spoke. Togima had suited up and was wearing the high tech kevlar shirt with his military uniform.
"We are needed on the front lines. I want all the newbies teamed up with an older person. Keep the newbies from doing something stupid." He nodded "let's move out!"
I nodded as jamie came up to my side. I nodded to her and followed as we started to move. I walked in complete silence. Jamie walked next to me. As we left the base we all crouched the sounds of gunshots was getting louder as we moved. I was completely relaxed compared to the others as we slowly moved forward into the ongoing fighting.
I walked relaxed but crouched down as we headed for the battle field. I walked as Jamie crouched walking. To me it looked like she was scared or nervous. I looked around seeing we were nearing the battlefield. I noticed the guy named Bronno was serious as he kept low and his eyes kept glancing around. I nodded to myself to remember to keep an eye on the guy so he could return home to his soon to be born baby.
I saw Togima signal with his hands to move forward at high speed. I nodded and started forward as everyone else did and saw the flying bullets as we ducked into the trench to avoid taking bullets. I looked to either side of me and saw everyone in my team had made it. I also saw those soldiers who had already died due to the attack this morning. I heard Togima yell to open fire. I turned and watched as it almost seemed to happen in slow motion as the others took up their guns and began to fire. I then saw as one of the members of my team took a bullet to the head as he had stood to shoot. I looked at the now dead man's body as it lay near my feet. It was the one guy nicknamed rascal. I hadn't gotten the man's real name. It had been a long time since I had seen a man die though.
~
I screamed as the man drove his knife through my ankle. I had lost count of the number of times I had been stabbed and cut. I could not even remember how many times I had passed out from the pain. I breathed through my teeth slumped over in pain. The man growled "where is the file!" I didn't even bother to respond trying to think of a way to escape. The man growled "if torturing you won't do any good then let's see what you will do when it is someone else?" I barely even noticed as the man left. I didn't know how long the man was gone but soon I heard him come back and he wasn't alone.
My head was forced up and I saw a man who was whimpering as he was tied up. I gulped nervously. The man with the sword looked at me "where is the file?" I shook my head "I told you already. I never got a file!" I cried out desperately. The man growled and then stabbed the man who he had tied up. The man screamed. I felt tears stream down my face. I heard the man ask me again where the file was. I then heard the man who had been just stabbed beg me to tell the man with the sword where the file was. I was forced to watch as the man with the sword torture the man tied up even as the man begged to be released and for me to tell them where the file was.
I cried as finally the man with the sword stopped stabbing and cutting the man tied up. "I guess this approach won't work either" I gasped and cried out as the man with the sword slit the man's throat who was tied up. I was forced to watch as the man spurted and gasped for air as he died. I screamed at the loss of life.

I shook my head of the past and looked around. We were being pushed back. We were losing. I knew the only way we would win this would be for me to pick up my guns and kill all the enemies. I saw that most of the team was crouched. I then heard Togima yell out retreat. I narrowed my eyes and watched as everyone started to get ready to retreat. I shook my head and grabbed my handguns and jumped out of the trench. I ignored the shouts from my brother and team as I stood out in the open and lifted my guns. Time seemed to slow as I lifted my guns. I watched as a bullet flew by me and I took aim at an enemy soldier. I fired my gun and watched as the bullet seemed to slowly fly at the man. I then took aim again and quickly fired once again at another enemy.
I did this with my glock thirteen times and my Ruger seventeen times before changing the clips on my guns. By the time I had fired my eighth bullet the first bullet I had fired was barely entering the body of the first enemy I had fired at. I could fire eight bullets almost simultaneously and they would sound like one gunshot but only when I was being fired at and when I was firing back. When I would be firing and not getting shot at I could only fire six bullets that would sound like one.
I continued to shoot and avoided the bullets that should have hit me if it weren't for the fact that they seemed to be moving forward slowly. I calmly took aim and fired my guns consecutively as my first bullets hit my intended targets straight through the heart. I emptied my clips again and changed them in an almost fluid motion. I ducked under a bullet as it was fired at my chest. I then continued my firing and killing the enemy. I fired my guns almost at the same time in complete different directions as I killed the enemy troops with an almost practiced ease. I backed up as I reached the end of my bullets and dropped back into the trench. Time seemed to speed back up and it took everyone a moment to realize I was back in the trench.
I looked to the others as I put my guns in their holsters and drew my blade. I noticed the others staring at me as gunfire stopped for a minute. It seemed to me everyone was in shock. I shrugged at the others. I noticed Togima still had a shocked look on his face as he stared blankly at me. I sighed and then jumped back out of the trench. I nearly laughed out loud as I heard the enemy call retreat as soon as I started for the enemies lines.
