New friends

The crowd kept gathering at the ground, but there was still no adult around, and no structure in sight.

"RAY!!" someone shouted. Before I could find the source, somebody crashed onto me. It was a girl; her momentum knocked me off my feet. She was followed by a few more people, both boys, and girls alike.

"Here you are. We looked all around for you. You got us worried sick." one guy from the group said.

"I recovered early, so I got here directly. Can someone get her off me? I can't breathe." the girl held onto me, her grip firm.

"Deal with her yourself." the same boy said. "I am scared to even touch her. You have no idea how scared she was when you didn't get up yesterday."

"Really?" I didn't know how to respond to that.

"Yeah, man. Now that you two are officially dating, don't make her worried so much, she takes it out on us." Others started laughing.

{I have a girlfriend now?} This progression was too fast. I tried to get up, but as the girl was there, I couldn't use my legs. {Time to use my powers; this is my dream after all.}

I grabbed the girl and flew straight up, did a flip, and landed on my feet. Even so, the girl didn't let go.

"You should stop doing that, Rose is still not fond of heights." So her name is Rose?

"Sorry for worrying you guys, my head is kind of fuzzy. I also forgot my way here." I apologized.

"How can you fly all the way from your house, when you forgot the way?" the same boy was talking. "Tom, he's the top air runner in our grade. He can fly with his eyes closed. His body knows how to do stuff." Rose finally spoke.

{Are these two the only people who talk to me?}{ I am what now?}{Never in my life have I wanted to be a Chad sports guy.}{Why does everyone have an English name?}{What is happening?} There were so many questions spiraling in my head, the most unique one was 'why is this dream so long?'

"Hey Ray, sorry about yesterday. It was my fault that you got hit." another one from the group spoke up. {Did he say he injured me?}

"Don't sweat it. Ray wasn't paying attention. Apologize to Robin." Tom ordered me. {Finally, a chance to know about this Ray guy.}

"Sorry about that. I was spaced out. What the hell happened in the last moments?"

"You were on level 4 and as you said, you were spaced out. Robin got promoted and comes in and blasts you from the hit range. You fell down head first. It took Uncle Norman over an hour to fix you up." Tom explained. I didn't get what half of it means though.

So I was on the 4th level, which was probably some kind of height, and fell from there. Robin's attack was the reason for my fall and the hit range should be the distance from me. This makes sense till now.

Norman is the name of my father, who probably is a healer. He should be a good one, considering he fixed a definitely dead kid. {Why is this dream so long?}

"That happened huh? It's my fault anyway, you shouldn't worry Robin." Robin nodded and left. {I'll look up all those terms later.}

"You guys finished your assignments yet?" I asked Tom and Rose.

"Nope, we still have a few days to submit it. How did you finish yours? Weren't you passed out?" Tom questioned me.

"Just have to put stuff together, and I did it earlier. What about you Rose?"

"I am almost done. Just have to finish everything up." Rose looked worried and kept close to me.

"Why were you spaced out? Did something happen?" Rose asked. "Yeah, you acted strange at the practice." Tom followed before I could answer Rose.

{How the hell would I know? I don't even know what you guys are talking about.}

"I didn't feel like practicing, zoned out for a second." I had to come up with some excuse, " I thought I saw a dragon flying by"

"Dragons don't stay here at this time of the year," Tom commented. "Maybe it was late in migrating?"

{So we even have dragons here? They seem to migrate too. I have to look that up as well.} The ground suddenly shook. It was a good tremor, but most people weren't bothered, some even sat down. Then the entire rock lifted up, which as judged by the looks on everyone's faces, was normal.

Although the rock was moving through the valley, its movement was smooth. It reminded me of a superconductor on a magnet. Not stable, yet smooth. We all sat down and waited for our destination. Soon, the structure came into view, it was a castle. Upon getting closer, I confirmed multiple castles, each on a separate rock. This was something grand, better than I expected it to be.
