The Don and The Frold Fortress III

As he entered the gate, the newspaper dropped down on the floor. The young Don picked it up and dusted it off. Then, he checked the content thereof.

"Ugh?" Hermes was bewildered upon reading the messages.

[Virus Warning!]

[Virus Warning!]

[Virus Warning!]

"Hey, hey, slow down a bit. What the fuck is it trying to say?" Hermes grasped the paper tightly.

[Virus Alert: A high-level threat has entered the surviving remnants of the self-proclaimed heroes' companions.]

"Hmm?" confused Hermes as he read the lines.

[Virus Alert: A high-level threat has entered the surviving remnants of the self-proclaimed heroes' companions.]

"Who's the threat here?" muttered Hermes as he turned to the next page.

[Virus Alert: A high-level threat has entered the surviving remnants of the self-proclaimed heroes' companions.]

"T, this is a spam message," Hermes's eyes turned sharp in disarray.

'What kind of high-level threat is it? I don't understand,' worried the young Don with cold sweat.

[Virus Warning!]

[Virus Warning!]

[Virus Warning!]

[Virus Alert: The elves have failed to receive the message to escape. The boss has entered the building. There is no hope for the poor souls to be spared.]

"Wait, hold on, what kind of monster is it talking about?" asked Hermes as he read between the lines.

The young Don turned to the next page.

[Virus Hidden Objective: Spare no one in the vicinity. Consume all the souls of the heroic elves who survived the holocaust one thousand years ago. ]

[Rewards: The hidden map where the Evil God Gorget is located.]

[Hidden Rewards: To be announced after the completion of the whole quest.]

[Warning Warning: Don't lewd the gorget or else.]

"Huh?" Hermes rubbed his eyes and read the content again. "Don't lewd the gorget? Who do you think I am? A relic addict? I don't fuck an item!"

The young Don ripped apart the newspaper and tossed it away out of anger.

"I don't understand the logic behind those words. I guess the relic is a very dangerous item. Thankfully, it is a hidden objective. I don't have to complete it though," mentioned Hermes as he stepped inside the fortress.

The place was powered by the gem light.

"You are right, master~. You shouldn't take the hidden quest seriously. I second the motion!" encouraged Slime happily. "Eeeh~? But sister, that's not what you're supposed to say!" chided Meili promptly.

"What do you mean? We're already enough for our beloved master. Do you want another useless item to be used by our owner? No, right?" slime explained briefly. "No, but that's not the point, dear sis,~" Meili debated politely.

"The point here is to eat the raw materials. Nothing more, nothing else," Slime defended. "But sis~, the content said otherwise," Meili tried to defend.

"Shut it, you're supposed to side with me. Not to argue with me. I mean, us!" chastised Slime, trying to shut her up. "Sister~, don't be mad at me. I'm just... I'm just trying to point out the advantage of having it," Meili mumbled in sorrow.

"I'm the armor, you're the useless but convenient informant. We don't need a useless old relic!" Slime insisted. "Meili wants to... to help. Meili doesn't want to fight big sis~," the informant welled up with tears.

"Oh, shut it. Don't cry like a baby. Have some shame. You are a property of our master!" chastised Slime angrily. "Master~, Meili will do her best. Don't treat me like a useless property. I'm okay to be treated like a concubine, but not a useless peasant. Pardon my stupid and unnecessary suggestion!" the informant implored for forgiveness.

'Where the fuck did the brave informant that we fought last time? This Meili is being treated like trash by his big sister. Good grief. I didn't even say a word. I won't even lay my hands on your tiny body. Jeez, I am goddamn straight and normal, though,' Hermes disgruntled upon hearing their conversation.

"Guys, chill for a minute. Relax, I won't toss you away like the newspaper earlier. I won't abandon anyone here," assured Hermes promptly. "Really~? Master~, I love you!" Meili rejoiced.

"Shut it, you piece of paper. Our master won't tolerate your attitude earlier. He will abandon you if you move against his great command," Slime chided. "Eeeeh~? Master, is that true~? Please don't lie to me~," the informant almost cried but held it back.

"Nonsense. Enough already. You guys should focus your attention on the upcoming battle. Not to make each other rattle," instructed Hermes gravely. "As you wish, master~," Slime followed obediently.

"Meili will do her best!" the informant proclaimed. "I command you girls, I don't want your personal reaction. Put your words into action. Don't make a promise you can't keep. I will cut your organ next at your oblique," reminded Hermes with a terrifying tone.

The two familiars flinched upon hearing it.

Slime quietly reacted happily, whilst Meili blushed when she sensed his superior aura coming out of his body.

'What on earth is wrong with these two monsters? They should be frightened and feel pressured about it. Jeez, what do I expect from these familiars? They are already beyond the comprehension of human knowledge. Honestly, they need a therapist... A doctor to check their mental health. A person who has the same level as these creatures,' Hermes commented inside his head.

"Both of you are sisters, right? You should get along for a while," proposed Hermes as he strolled inside of the place. "Master~, I sense a squad of low-level elves inside the tunnel," Slime warned.

The young Don halted his advance and opened his fists on the side.

"Slime, ready my customized Tommy Gun. Meili use your miasma to make a soundproof once they enter our zone," directed Hermes with a pensive tone.

"Yes, master~!" Slime responded.

"As you wish, my master~!" Meili affirmed.

...

Four armed elves entered their zone. One of them noticed the presence of the unarmed and masked teenager.

He was staring at them with a sinister look.

The three guards behind their Captain raised their sword weapons and aimed them at the teenager.

"State your name, stranger. You should know you'll be classified as an intruder. It's already night. It will give you a fright. Frankly speaking, I am a bit of an overseer. You're not supposed to be here," their Captain directed as he pointed the edge of his sword at the intruder. "I don't need to answer it. You will turn into a slice of meat," the masked teenager blatantly responded.

"Oh, ho~, you're brave to state a blunt answer. I don't know what happened to the two gatekeepers, but if you don't introduce yourself first, then we left no other choice but to... Put a nameless tomb in your grave," Captain signaled his men to surround the intruder. "So do I," the masked teenager placed a hand on his lips.

"Ho~, you got some guts to face us, stranger. You're just a lost child in this restricted area. Tell me, can you handle the four of us alone?" asked the Captain as his lips curled up with confidence. "Ho~, you're approaching me. Me, a final boss of this game? Four of you won't even scratch my outfit, though," the masked teenager shrugged it off.

"You're nothing compared to us. You don't even possess any mana within your body. Am I right?" queried Captain as he giggled. "Hmm...," the masked teenager remained quiet.

"Silence means we found your weakness," Captain smirked. "Oh, no, no. You are wrong, gentleman. Do not mistake my silence for weakness. Nobody plots murder aloud," the masked teenager summoned a weapon behind his waist.

"Fool. You are unarmed. You don't possess a weapon. We have a sword and spear. Hands up, stranger!" Captain demanded and signaled his two minions to capture him.

The teenager burst into laughter maniacally.

"Capture him. He's nothing!" Captain commanded.

"Silly NPCs. I have a Tommy gun!" the masked teenager pulled out his submachine gun and shot down all of them mercilessly.

The leader of the patrol group crawled up on the wall. He coughed out some blood from the damage he received. His lower body kept bleeding despite his effort to stop it with his healing magic.

He looked around to see if someone heard the loud noise. But he noticed a black miasma was covering their area.

"I, I, it can't be," the wounded Captain mumbled. "Soundproof magic is convenient," the masked teenager muttered emotionlessly.

"Who.... are you?" the wounded Captain implored as he covered his bleeding stomach with his broken hand. "You don't... need to know," the masked teenager shot him without remorse. His blood splashed on the outfit and dress of the murderer.

...

"Master, there is no trace of reinforcement," Slime reported. "Well done, you did your best. We will proceed to find the rest," complimented Hermes promptly.

"The three of them are still alive. Meili will handle them," Slime suggested. "No, I will do it myself," Hermes shot one by one the minions in the face.

Bloods lay scattered on the walls.

A thin material appeared on the ground, but the young Don feigned no interest.

A miasma transformed to a little girl with a scarlet ribbon pinned on her hair.

The informant flipped it open and checked it out of curiousity.

"Eeeeh~, isn't that great news? Master, it stated that there is a breakfast tomorrow," Meili reported. "Tsk, why did you read it? Never mind, leave it alone. I guess it is referring to the elves. Don't bother about it," Hermes feigned no mind.

"Master~, should we proceed?" Slime questioned. "Yeah, do we have a choice? It is a job that only a villain can do," Hermes clenched his arms tightly on his weapon.
