VRMMORPG:The Sun Sets When The World Ends

Dante, an apostle for the evil God????? kneeled on the collapsed floor of a building coughing up blood, looking around he saw nothing but destruction where there was once prosperity and laughed self mockingly while he reminisced about how he did it. "Why?... Why did you do it Dante!" the hero said as his eyes swam looking around at this destruction, his voice sounding like he was on the verge of crying, his sword weakly at the neck of Dante, waking Dante from his reminiscent due to the icy sensation of the magical metal. "It was the only way...and even if there was another option, it's too late anyway," Dante said as he looked at the hero with his already half-blind blue eyes from the fight they just had. Hearing that, the hero didn't even continue speaking with him and just swung the sword, instantly decapitating him. The last sight he saw was the beautiful sunset mixed among the ruins of buildings as his vision turned black. Test Of Will Pt.2(End)

"Do you believe in free will?" The bodiless voice echoed, leaving Dante completely stumped by the complexity of this question.

He stood there in the vast, empty void, with nothing but his thoughts and the sound of the voice echoing through the emptiness. He had been told that this was a trial, one that would require him to contemplate the nature of his existence and the purpose of his life. He had not expected it to be so difficult, to be confronted with questions that challenged his most fundamental beliefs.

"Of course, as this is what would separate man from the rest of the mindless animals roaming the world," Dante responded confidently, his voice echoing through the void.

"Really? But then why is it that there are laws in place that keep people from fulfilling their wishes?" The voice once again echoed, causing the void to tremble from the weight of its words.

Dante frowned, taken aback by the logic of the being. "Well...the law is meant to protect people from others and ensure a safe and equal world," he said, knowing that what he was saying was not entirely true.

"Well, really? Aren't you also a byproduct of this so-called law and free will?" The voice once again echoed, its words laced with acidity.

Dante felt a chill run down his spine at the implications of those words. "You dare!" he roared, trying to gather his mana to form a spell to attack the being.

But then he felt the seemingly infinite space constrict around him, and he fell to his knees. "Hmm, I wonder what would be considered free will...the time when you 'willingly' got raped by a group of men and left for dead, the time when you 'willingly' had been betrayed by your fellow humans, or maybe the time you 'willingly'...?" The voice trailed off, leaving the rest of the sentence unsaid.

Dante's mind was in turmoil as he tried to push away the memories that threatened to overwhelm him. He felt like a puppet with broken strings, helpless and vulnerable.

"Hmmm...seems as if this one too has been broken," the voice commented like it had been taking notes. Suddenly, it felt like the presence was leaving, but then Dante whispered, "Wait...I'm not done yet!"

The voice stopped, sounding slightly interested in this test subject. "So what is it that you want to say?"

"It may be that there is no such thing as free will but...but as long as one can believe in themselves, it doesn't matter who or what denies that. After all, we are only human," Dante said as he slowly rose against the restricting force.

"Hmm...Interesting," the voice said in the same emotionless tone it had been using since the start of the conversation. Suddenly, Dante gripped a blade in his hand and ran towards the voice, swinging his blade.

"And whoever wants to argue against my will shall die!" Dante said, his voice filled with determination.

The blade ripped through the void, but then it stopped just before the being that Dante took to be the examiner of this test. "You pass," Dante heard from the being, and then his vision suddenly blacked out.

When Dante woke up, he found himself lying on the ground, his body aching all over. He slowly got up and looked around, finding himself in a familiar place. He was back in the same room he had woken up in when he had first entered this strange world.

Dante rubbed his eyes, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Had it all been a dream? A hallucination? But he knew it was real, even if he couldn't explain how or why.

As Dante slowly regained consciousness, he found himself in a new environment. The void was gone, replaced by a lush green forest, and the air was filled with the sound of chirping birds and rustling leaves. He slowly stood up, the memory of the previous test still fresh in his mind.

As he looked around, he saw a small wooden cabin in the distance. Curiosity getting the better of him, Dante made his way towards the cabin. As he got closer, he saw that the door was slightly ajar, and he hesitantly pushed it open.

Inside, he found a simple room with a wooden table and a single chair. On the table lay a piece of parchment with the words "The Test of Wisdom" scrawled on it in elegant script. Dante knew that this was his next challenge.

The test of wisdom would require him to think critically, to use reason and logic to solve complex problems. It would challenge him to find solutions to difficult puzzles, to see through illusions and deceptions, and to discern the truth from falsehood.
