Chapter 1

In the year 2045 a newly formed company specializing in technology made a breakthrough regarding AIs,Virtual technology, and Medical technology which was kept hidden from. They then started developing a game which took 7 years to create with the help of Thirteen AIs.

Other companies similarly made breakthroughs regarding AIs and Virtual Reality however they were still behind by a couple dozen years.

In 2052 September 15 the company released the first VRMMORPG in history.

This made other companies panic as they never expected that someone would be ahead of them in both AIs and Virtual Reality to the point of making a game. They allied together and started funding their technologies hoping to catch but it would take 1 or 2 years even with their effort.

In a hospital located somewhere in New York layed a young man in a capsule when a about one dozen bodyguards along with some doctors came in and move his body on a stretcher than transferring him to a Laboratory overseas. After a couple hours he was placed in a black capsule called specter.

Five days later someone came visiting the young man.

"I hope you wake up after all these years, Azrail" Said someone who shared similarities to Azrail.

" Are we ready to fully activate 'Specter' " said the man to the person next to him.

" We are ready however I must warn you again that we will be using both experimental and unknown technology. The risks are high and it is not guaranteed that he will wake up" said a serious female voice.

" I want to try anyway as it's my fault he is like this " He said as a trace of guilt flashed through his eyes.

" Just remember that I warned you " she said.

She gave the go and the other started working with Specter turning on. Needles appeared from wholes opening up injecting Azrail with a jade like sticky substance appearing right after the needles retracted. His vitals appeared on a large monitor with everything looking good and he then felt his phone vibrating. He turned around and headed toward the door and he recieved a message saying [ Thirteen has gone rogue and we have been unable to track him. We asked the other AIs however they said they dont know anything about why he went rogue. We are currently investigating the cause]

He paused for a moment lost in thought and then replied [ Ok ]

He left the lab and went back to headquarters as he thought about the issue with Thirteen going rogue.

In a dark abyss stood a Azrail who was started counting ever since he went in a coma.

"312688368779,312688368780,312688--" He stopped counting as he saw a Irishman holding a Halberd who looked like he just went to war.

Azrail was puzzled as he didn't know why there was someone in his mind space.

The Irishman spoke to Azrail however he didn't understand Irish which was noticed by the man. The Man tried many different languages before he spoke enlgish letting azrail understand him.

" Do you understand me now ? " Spoke the Irishman.

" Yes, I do understand you , however may I know who you are ?" said Azrail.

"The name's Thirteen and who may you be young lad ?" said Thirteen as he thought about the current situation.

"I'm Azrail Redwood and we are currently in my mind space."

"Your Alex Redwood's brother who has been in a coma for nearly 8 years right ?"

" So you know my brother ?"

" Well I do because he could be considered my creator. As I said I'm Thirteen and an AI ,one of the Thirteen AIs he created with some help to make a game called Eternal Heavens."

" Eternal Heavens , Sounds like something interesting. I would try it however I'm stuck here unable to wake up. " said Azrail

" Well I can help with that however it will take some time about 6 months " said Thirteen

"Well please do " said Azrail as he thought about what he would experience.

Thirteen went to work trying to help Azrail solve his problem without being detected.

Six months passed quickly and during that time while Thirteen was working he got Azrail access to the Virtual Reality Network Starfall and helped Azrail setup an account and make a small scale virtual world for Azrail to train with different weapons and learn many techniques for combat, defense , and some non combat related skills.

"Well I'm finished so you should now be able to access Eternal Heavens. You just need to go to Apps and you will find one newly installed game which is Eternal Heavens" Said Thirteen

Azrail opened up his Panel and pressed on the app option which brought him to the apps available. There was only one app which was Eternal Heavens.

" I setup an account for you to use in Eternal Heavens. During character creation You will see two options. The first option will give you the default 20 stat points with a small chance of getting 20 extra stat points. Only 25 people have gotten those 20 extra stats. The second option is letting your body get scanned and your stats will be calculated based on your physical ability like strength, Agility, endurance, intelligence and so on. The highest stats a person who chose this option has gotten is 250 stat points. So because your body had been bathed in S rank nutrient solutions the highest amount of stat points is 500. These solutions also contain a lot of energy so there is also a 65 percent chance that you will undergo evolution after 8 years. Your brother is also undergoing evolution but it will take 1 more year for that to be completed.

Your race are Death Phantoms. You dont have a job yet but when you log in your will have a legacy item called the Fantasma. That is all I will tell you " said Thirteen as he dressed up looking like he was going on vacation "Have a great time "

After that Thirteen disappeared and Azrail focused on Eternal Heavens. He opened the game as his body turned into light particles and he disappeared.

He reappeared and looked around seeing that he was in some sort of ruined city. He looked at his hand seeing a ring.

He lightly tapped on it and a panel with 400 slots and eight pages appeared. In a slot he saw a scythe and he tapped on it showing it's stats.

Once a weapon belonging to a mighty reaper before he fell in war which led to Fantasma being severely damaged. It's Strength was reduced to the point it became weaker than even trash. (Bound to the player Specter)

Azrail was dumbfounded by Fantasma's stats as

it was still a great weapon even if it was weaker than trash. He equipped the weapon and decided to check his stats.

Azrail questioned whether his stats and skills were something a level 0 player should have as it seemed to strong. He also saw the (Locked) next to his level which seemed to be a seal preventing him from leveling up. He checked his quest list and saw 2 quests.

The Reaper were fierce warriors who were feared by all. They were advanced both Magically and Technologically allowing them to create Magic Weapons ranging from swords to guns. Although they were powerful they were wiped out after 12 entities of unknown power gathered many races to destroy them and other races like them which included the Alantians, Gnomes, High Humans and many other races. Even the powerful UNSC from another region of the galaxy was forced to retreat. Although the 12 entities with their army won leaving very few survivors of most races and destroying the reapers and other races they also suffered heavy losses. After thousands of years someone from the ancient Death Phantom race has found a Reaper Relic.

Azrail looked at his two quests not knowing what to think of it. He stood there for a couple minutes thinking about what had happened so far. He looked at his quest list the at his Stats and thought about the adventure he could have if he decided to move forward. He grew excited , too excited to not notice that he was being watched by a creature hiding in the shadows.
