The second task

[Mission: 2nd task. Kill all the goblins in the cave]

[Reward: Safety of the village from goblin attacks]

Roan was headed to the goblin cave as his second task was. And so, he concocted his secret recipe. The attractant potion themselves.

He was outside their cave and he was alone. Two goblins were outside their cave and he started to wonder what he should do next. Without wasting time, he broke the attractant potion at the entrance of the cave, and the two goblins gobbled up the liquid on the ground.

Roan then smirked as he threw two throwing daggers at them. All were hit on the forehead. Stumbling their bodies as their lives ebb away.

Roan then approached them and grabbed the daggers. Pulling them off as he wiped the blood off.

Roan then went to stare at them and grabbed their rusty weapons. They were only having rags as their dress and no armor can be harvested.

Roan then placed the weapons inside his backpack for them to get smelted. As he was looting, he heard rumblings from the darkness within the cave.

Soon after, the goblins appeared, and were having their saliva drooling. They were a horde in his estimation. Roan then prepared to meet them full blast.

Drawing his dual short swords, he dashed and immediately slashed in a flurry. He slashed one on the chest and one goblin attacked his side with a mace. He then blocked it with his other sword and then kicked it in the stomach. Making it nearly puke in the process.

Roan then was surrounded and they didn't have time for him to escape. Roan then applied what he learned as a samurai. He slashed one after another and with a combination of triple slashes. Diagonal, rising, and horizontal.

He immediately slashed three goblins and their limbs were cut. Separating from their bodies made them scream.

Roan then continued his onslaught while dashing forward. Slashing in a flurry like his hands were in perfect sync.

In the past, he was using dual wakizashi and was a master at that. He could only smirk at his enemies that he hacked them.

Ting ting ting!

He blocked their attacks and then made a way just by slashing while passing through. The enemies were not able to stop him from his killing spree. Only to get hacked by the human they were facing. Their screams bathed the surroundings as Roan did not immediately finish them off. Only cutting their arms or legs. Or even just wounding their chest.

Roan then was bathed with their blood. His face was reddened by their spurting wounds. Making him seen as a monster in the eyes of the goblins. Roan then dashed toward the remaining ones and used kali martial arts towards them. Slashing the neck then slit the veins on their armpits and arms.

Roan then stabbed one in the face and twisted the short sword.

Grabbing his throwing dagger and throwing three of the enemies that were heading his way in point blank range. All hit on the forehead then stumbled limp towards him.

Roan then dashed and was attacked on both sides. All were aiming to stab him with their rusty dagger. Roan then rolled towards the front and the two collided. Making them stab each other in the process.

Roan then grabbed the knives that they stabbed and then threw them at the others. Piercing their chests in the process. Roan then saw that the enemies yelped as he approached them.

"Don't be scared,"

Roan then dashed and in a flash, he decapitated one. Head flew and then rolled to the ground.

Yiee!!!

Shriek!!!

They yelped. Roan then dashed in zigzag and decapitated the ones he passed by. Sending their heads off for the moment Roan slashed. He then rotated and slashed diagonally on one of them.

After he finished them off, he then saw that the horde was just the goblins. The Hobgoblins were already killed by him.

Roan then went to loot the weapons and armor and then proceeded to head inside.

The cave was damp and torches were lit on the side. From there, he saw the baby goblins in their nursing chambers. Looking at them, he poured oil and lit them all up. Screams were heard and wails followed. Their voices died down immediately.

Roan then went to the next chamber and saw the rusty weapons that they have. Looting it all up, his backpack was immediately full.

He then saw their treasures in one chamber and they were piles of necklaces and rings. Also, gold coins were plundered from the villagers nearby. Being placed on a chest.

21 rusty weapons were protruding from his backpack and 10 rings with 13 necklaces. Gold coins were 150 as the capacity limit of his coin pouch was.

Roan then left after he took whatever he can. He would practice on rings and necklaces as he leveled up his enchanter job class. Also would try enchanting the weapons and armor.

He then went back to the village and was panting with all the weight. He immediately reported to the elder. Entering the gates, he saw the elder already there waiting for him. Roan then approached him.

"I have finished the second mission dear elder," Roan then adjusted the strap of his backpack as it was very heavy. Such tiring travel he had.

"Oh really? That is great news! Alas, the attacks will stop for now and we can rest easy for a moment. My hatred towards them has finally finished. May they burn in Hell as they will pay for their sins. Well now, go forth to the obelisk of evil as monsters are gathering right now. The guards are all ready to defend just in case,"

"But as we speak, the goblins are just the start of your other journey. Next is the obelisk of evil. You see, that is the main problem for all of us. As I watched from the tower, there is great unrest from that place. The rogues have reported that many monsters are gathering in that location. If they will have a gathering for an attack, the troops would be ready,"

"Tarry now, hero. We will hold on but be hasty or all will be too late!" The elder then coughed.

"I will come back in a jiffy," Roan then hastily exited the gates.
