Episode 9- A newfound friend: Governor Dragon Serafall

After a hundred years of fighting all over the world, Illayaka had become one of the strongest people in the world. Second to the dragons that govern the world. Even though dragons were the governors of the world, there were strong people inside of their worlds, and Illayaka also killed some of the people that were inside. So, she could destroy countless worlds if she pleased, but if that were the case, then… Why was the dragon stronger than her?

Well, the history of the dragons runs a little deep. The dragons are the governors of the universe, and they essentially view everything inside the world they have as nothing but a piece of paper. Illayaka was no exception to that rule.

There were lots of governor dragons out in the world and each of those dragons governed over an infinite amount of lower and higher worlds. Each world has an infinite number of universes that are derived from each world.

So, the reason the dragons were stronger than Illayaka was because of the strength and knowledge they had. Dragons have been floating in the void ever since it was created, and they have also floated since before the world was created. Everything started off as nothingness, and the worlds that were made in the void were created by someone of a higher existence.

Illayaka was still the same. Nothing about her changed even after becoming one of the strongest beings in the world. She did not get a human transformation, and she never found any friends.

She sat there perched on the throne that she had created for herself. Illayaka's throne was in the castle that she created after a couple of years of being in the void. Her castle was made purely from her mana. So, if it were destroyed, she could remake it with her magical power.

…This place has gotten boring. I used to have something to do, but after becoming the second strongest in this world… nothing fun happened.

Maybe it was a mistake for her to become the second strongest in the world. Furthermore, nobody would be willing to fight you if you became too strong, and that is exactly what she became- too strong that nobody would even come near her. It is a known fact that people become scared of the stronger person.

With her little rabbit legs, Illayaka got up out of her throne and jumped onto the ground. She could not get out of her chair like a human, so she just jumped since that was her only option.

She walked towards the castle's entrance, which was directly in front of her throne, and she walked out of the throne.

Well, I'm going to destroy this castle and explore the world for a bit. To pass the time I have to do something, and sitting around isn't going to cut it.

Those were her thoughts as she raised her hand, and the air started getting heavier. Space-time was warping around the castle, and the castle was slowly getting crushed into miniature size.

The castle faded away, and she stopped using mana and looked at the forest that was filled with colors varying in different shades. A couple of years back, Illayaka recreated everything that she destroyed in the forest.

"Well… I guess it's time for me to start flying off now. I'm going to miss this place. It was my first home since I have been reincarnated."

Illayaka started to use mana, and she started to fly full speed into the sky. She did not know what she was going to do out there, but one thing was for sure. And that was she was going to try her best to have fun.

Thus, Illayaka's quest to find something worthwhile had started. There was no one that could match her inside of the world at the moment. Since the governor dragons live somewhere above the universe, it was likely they lived in a place that was on a higher dimensional plane than the world.

Passing by a cave, Illayaka noticed that something inside was in it, and whatever it was, it was intense. It was something she did not sense while she was fighting and exploring the world.

Who the hell is in that cave? Whatever that thing is inside of that cave… it's strong, and I don't know if I am going to be able to handle it.

Illayaka flew to the entrance of the cave and looked in it, and she noticed that something big was lying inside. She could not clearly understand what it was until the grandiose things started to move around. Everything in the aura began to warp, and an aura was sent through the entire cave. An aura that shook the entire world.

The thing turned towards her, and she immediately knew it was a dragon. The dragon was large, and it had big violent color scales that shined like steel, and the dragon scales looked strong. The dragon had four legs and two large wings.

Oh my gosh… That's a fucking dragon! I have to get out of her before it notices me! I know there are all kinds of dragons in this world, but this one is stronger than all the ones I have killed!

The dragon woke up and looked at Illayaka, who was attempting to flee from the area.

"Who are you!? And what are you doing inside of my cave!?" the dragon asked, putting a little bit of mana in its words. Its voice was so ruff that you could not tell if it was a boy or a girl. From the sound of the dragon's voice, it was high pitched like a girl, at the same time, it was ruff and deep like a man's tone.

Illayaka was startled by the dragon's sudden outburst and looked back. She noticed that the dragon had big blue eyes, and they were fluttering.

The dragon was just staring at her, waiting for her to answer the question it had just asked.

"I came here to be your friend," Illayaka said the first thing that came to her mind. She thought that 'if we became friends, then she wouldn't kill me, but she instantly regretted saying the words that came out of her mouth.

After all, she didn't know how the dragon would respond to hearing her absurd words. It was not normal for people to go around saying they wanted to be the friends of a dragon.

"Do you really mean it!" the dragon shouted. You could hear her voice change from rough to soft and sweet voice. The dragon was a girl, and she was excited to hear someone say they wanted to be her friend.

Looking at the dragon, lllayaka smiled, sticking her little rabbit hand out. The best thing was for her to go ahead and become friends with the dragon, so she wouldn't end up being killed by it.

"Yes, I really want to be friends with you."

"...That's so good to hear! I haven't had a friend in a couple of millenniums."

Illayaka started to feel bad for the dragon, even though she went a hundred years without a friend. The dragon that was sitting in front of her was someone who had been alone for a long time.

So, from that moment on, she decided to take being the dragon friend seriously. After all, they could become good friends and have fun with each other.

"Okay… so what's your name?"

The dragon looked at Illayaka and smiled. "Ha-ha-ha-ha! I am one of the dragons that govern the world. Serafall!" she exclaimed, looking at the rabbit doll in front of her face.

"All right then, Serafall, my name is… Illayaka," she said, looking at the dragon that was lying before her. "And from this moment on, we are friends… no, that's not right, we are best friends!"

"I can agree that we are best friends."

With that, a pledge between a rabbit doll and a dragon was made. They were something that was beyond only normal friends. They were classified as best friends, a term that was used to describe something beyond a normal friendship.

It's been a couple of hours since the two became best friends. They did nothing but sit in the cave and talk to each other. She was a dragon that governed the world, so she had a lot of stuff to talk about with her newfound best friend.

The two of them had grown closer to each other over time. Building a friendship that could not be broken.

"What are you going to do now, Serafall?"

"I'm going to have to go back and start governing the world soon."

Illayaka was sitting on top of Serafall's head, and she smiled, looking away from the dragon.

"Is there anything that I should watch out for?"

"You know about the Void King, right?" Serafall asked, trying to see if she had heard anything about the void king.

"No, I haven't heard anything about him."

"Well, the only thing I would say is beware of the man with sandy-blond hair. You will know when you see him because of the color hair, he has been only unique to him." Serafall knew a lot about the void king, but she was not going to give up information on him even though she was her newfound best friend. However, giving her a warning to beware of him was the least she could do.

Illayaka nodded her head and smiled. "I will do what you said… after all, you are a governor dragon, and if you say beware of him, he is most likely the real deal."

After she finished saying those words, A three-dimensional magic circle appeared under her feet. Illayaka looked at her friend in shock.

Serafall did nothing but smile as the circle formed under the feet of her friend.

At that moment, she smiled and turned her head away from her, knowing what was about to happen to her friend. "You are being summoned to another world. That means you are going to be living in this place soon. So please be safe out there, best friend."

hearing the words of her friend, Illayaka smiled before responding. "I will come back to see you one day, best friend."

Those were her last words as she had gotten teleported to another world.

That was the ending to her adventure in the void realm and the start of a new one in a different world.
