Episode 60- [Finals] The Birth of a Hero (Third Part)

Shito stood in front of the hero, who was wrapped in a chromatic white and gold light.

It was an unbelievable scene. Something that most people would never be able to witness in their lifetimes. Her Holy Body was forcibly pulling out her battle attire that was locked in the depths of a different dimension.

The light started to fade out of the world, and her body had become completely visible.

Her presence was becoming so overwhelming that it could physically crush anyone who stood in front of her.

The hero's outfit had changed from her standard school outfit to a dress with a light gold, white, and blue color scheme and a set of blue armor that embellished her waist and shoulders. Her skin was not exposed since she didn't want any weak points in her battle attire.

She was wearing a pair of gauntlets that was the same colorway as her battle attire, and she wore a seat of matching armored boots.

However, the eyes of the girl changed completely. While her hair was still blond, her eyes were now a chromatic white and gold. The same color as the aura she was displaying a couple of minutes ago.

In addition to her unparalleled figure, she was slightly shorter than the average girl and had slender arms, with a figure that showed what it needed to, but it retracted in spots that didn't need to be seen.

A body that was the embodiment of perfect to the extent that could make the gods feel jealous.

"Now this is interesting… you are finally getting serious. Fighting against you while you are wearing your hero armor is going to be fun."

A feeling of excitement was coursing through his veins, but his face was still emotionless. Even though he was feeling excited, his face didn't show any of his feelings.

Lifting her sword in the air, the heavens changed colors, and a gold light replaced the normally clear blue sky. Her mana was covering the heavens, making it become one with her magic spell.

"Holy Sword Arts, Meteor Shower."

Saying that she elegantly swung her sword downwards, and what followed was a beam that was made purely from light. It was a long-range attack that, if she had used it outside of the barrier, then she would have completely destroyed the city.

It was her unique sword style that gave her the destructive power to destroy anything. Meteor Shower was an attack that completely erased one's physical body along with their soul.

Everything inside of the barrier was eaten up. The bright light was strong and constantly destroyed one's body from the inside out. If it couldn't fully erase a person's body on impact; the bright light enveloped Shito's body.

"Hmmm…. I'm glad that none of my attacks are allowed to hurt me…. Or else, I would be dead by now."

It was a sudden occurrence. An attack that exceeded the power of most of the skills in the world. Concepts or laws don't apply to the attack that she just released… her attack was able to destroy concepts and the laws that govern the world.

All mages gain resistance to the attacks they use, and it is something that automatically happens once a person masters a magic spell.

But there were other ways to gain resistance to spells. For one to gain resistance to spells, they would have to keep harming themselves repeatedly until their bodies stopped feeling any sort of pain.

In an instant, the light beam attack was shattered to pieces. It was almost like he had broken a glass window.

"Wha…?!"

"Don't be so suppressed. You should have known that your attack was going to be inefficient against me. I have more attacks to use. Let us go ahead and explore those hidden abilities of yours."

Shito knew of the abilities that the hero wielded not because of him reading the history books, but because before he sealed away his powers, he could transfer his consciousness to any point in time to see the events that took place. He was curious about the hero who was said to have wandered the world hundreds of years ago, and he went to watch his battles. Even though the hero was not as strong as him, the abilities that the hero had made him overpowered.

Golden particles formed in the arena.

Cracks formed on the beautiful ground of the tiled floor that they were standing on. The tile was normally indestructible, but the pressure that was coming from her body was overwhelming.

The ground was made from the galactic stone, and they were easily getting cracked by the sudden release of her aura.

".....Nora Egil…."

Swiping her hand, the cracks that were all over the stage started to glow brightly.

From each of the cracks that were around the arena, translucent white flames started to emerge throughout the arena. The barrier was still placed around the arena so no one from the audience could feel the heat of her attacks.

The flames formed a spell that everyone could use, but with the Holy Body that she possessed, the spell was made to be one of the strongest spells in her arsenal.

It reached closer to Shito's body, and his body instantly went up into flames.

The galactic stones burned, and the whole arena was burned and turned into golden-silver ash.

If he can survive this spell, then he is really a powerful opponent. The flames are strong enough to reduce the world to ashes. It burns through anything no matter how eternal or infinite it is. My holy body instantly makes the spells the strongest ones in the world. Nora Egil will burn through anything, including higher dimensions.

The hero was a person who was supposed to learn the skills that would benefit the world, so the previous heroes were limited to what kind of spells they could use since the Voice of Reason was the thing that controlled them. It was the voice of the gods that transcended time-space.

If the hero went too long without listening to the voice, they would be killed by little hands that would transcend space-time to get to them. No matter how many dimensions they crossed, the hands would be able to reach their targets.

But the current hero completely nullified that same voice, Lucia Komeiji was the only person that was ever able to survive the hands of the Voice of Reason—completely breaking free from the control of the gods.

"Haaaaaa, this is truly an interesting attack. But this isn't going to work on me since I'm completely above these kinds of attacks."

Shito swung his swords, and the flames disappeared.

They had been fighting for a while, and he wanted to put an end to the fighting. He enjoyed himself a lot. So, since they were on the verge of the end of their battle, Shito decided to attack first.

In a single leap, the distance between the two was cleared, and he swung his sword upwards at light speeds.

Lucia countered with a downward swing before slightly stepping back.

At that moment, neither of them had the upper hand, and they kept barding each other with attacks that countered each other. The heavy sounds of metal could be heard throughout the arena.

He leaped back before preparing his body into the air, he threw a faint with the sword that was in his left hand, but in an instant, he tossed the sword to his right hand, swinging the swords that transcended the speed of light. The sheer speed that he was moving was faster than anyone could have hoped to imagine, and he was still below five percent of his strength.

As the blade neared the right side of her face, Lucia swung her sword, blocking the swing from coming intact with her face. Lucia noticed an opening and quickly infused her hand with mana, throwing a powerful jab at his face.

"....H—, Huh….?!"

Lucia's voice was full of shock, seeing that her attack had stopped directly in front of his body. Her fist couldn't even pierce through his body. It was as if she hit a boulder. Usually, her attack power would crush through people in an instant, but the body that she hit was not average. Her fist could destroy countless worlds, but her first was blocked by his physical strength.

But that didn't stop her. She swung her sword at Shito, engaging in another sword battle with her. They were getting faster and faster with each attack that was exchanged between the two of them. He was only using around two percent of his power, and he didn't want to get the upper hand on the fight because he was enjoying it, but the time to put the fight to an end was nearing, and he could still get some fun out of it before ending the battle.

The two started to fly through the air Via Flight. The two students didn't need to chant magic because they didn't need it when using mana. As they flew, they were moving at speeds that were thousands of times faster than light. They couldn't really be seen by the monitor anymore, and the only thing that could be heard was the sounds of metal clanging.

Coming to a sudden stop in the air, the two came to a stop and looked at each other.

"Well, we have been going at this for a long time… how about we finally put an end to this fight—..."

"You want to end this fight with a single attack…?" Lucia asked, smiling at her friend, Shito Mahinu, "If we are going to do that, then let us go ahead and end this battle, once and for all."

"With the next attack! One of us shall fall!"

The two made a pledge that with the next attack, someone was going to crush one another.
