Episode 57- Tournament Final Rounds Began

After their breakfast meal, the family went to Lemore Academy just like they usually do, and since this was the day of the tournament. Countless people varying from different ages were walking around trying to find their way inside of the academy. Everyone wanted to see the final battles so they could see how the future mages of their kingdom were going to turn out.

When they arrived in front of the arena door, Shito looked at his daughters who were glued to his side. Not literally glued to his side.

"Are you girls going to the room where your aunty is… or are you going to sit in the stands and watch us from the—..."

"No, we are going to go to the room where Aunty is. We don't like being around all those unknown people, so to ease our feelings it would be best for us to go somewhere we at least know someone," said Illayaka, releasing the firm grip she had on her father's uniform jacket.

Illayaka acted like her father in certain aspects. From time to time, she would show glances of having the same expressions as her father. Most times her father's side comes out when she is upset, but she still lacks being around new people. It was not because she was scared it was because if someone was to do something dumb to her then without hesitation, she was going to kill them. Something that her father would do if someone were to wrong him in any way.

Shito nodded his head, understanding how his daughter was feeling at the moment, after all, he harbored those same kinds of thoughts.

"I understand then… if that's the case shouldn't you two be leaving right now. I know that you can instantly teleport there, but we need to go already before we are late to the tournament."

Illya nodded her head and smiled, "We are going to be going there in a couple of seconds, so don't worry too much." she said, looking her father directly in his eyes.

In an instant, the twins disappeared from the area. They connected two spaces so they could instantaneously move to a different place. Divine Teleportation was the spell that they were using, so that made it easier for them to move with any problems.

"Well, let us hurry and go inside of the arena. The finals should be starting in a couple of minutes. A battle that I don't want to miss."

After saying that, Shito opened the door to the arena and walked inside. For the last couple of days, the ceiling of the arena was open like it was today. The ceiling was usually closed, but they opened it after the first day since people started flying around the area. A remote controlled the arena so whenever they wanted it down, they could do so by using the remote.

Walking inside the arena, they noticed that the crowds were filled with many people and countless voices were speaking, making the room lively. Everyone was excited about the finals and couldn't wait until it started.

Shito and Tenka stood near the doorway, waiting for the announcer to walk in and announce for them to come to the stage. Neither of the students wanted to go sit down because they would have to get up eventually.

The announcer walked onto the stage, holding the mic that he always uses when he is announcing the battles. The announcer, Shiba, was a person who usually uses disguises to hide his real looks, but over the past few days, he didn't really care about who saw his face.

"Are you all ready to start these battles?!" the announcer shouted through the mic that was in his left hand.

"Yeeeaaaahhhhhh!"

Countless people from the crowds started to shout displaying their eagerness to start the finals. They had been waiting for the finals to start and they knew the battle was going to be good since they watched both teams fight in the tournament.

Gripping the mic in his hand tightly, the announcer smiled, opening his mouth to speak.

"Team Phoenix and Team Frontier. Please enter the arena and prepare for your battles!"

The two teams heard their names being called and walked to the stage that the announcer was standing on. The announcer was standing on the stage that was directly in the center of the room.

Once the two teams arrived on the stage, everyone in the crowd started to shout. They were excited for the finals to finally start.

The two teams stood ten paces away from each other facing one another with Shiba, the announcer between them. The ceiling of the arena was open in case they decided to fly, and a barrier was placed around the sides of the arena to keep the audience safe from any attacks. A barrier that blocked and nullified magic.

Lucia looked at Team Phoenix and smiled, "It's been a while Shito and Tenka, meeting in the finals gives off a good feeling. Make sure you don't hold back against me because I plan to go all out."

Even after hearing that from the 'strongest' person in the school Shito's face still hadn't changed, but on the inside, he was happy to be able to see the power that was sealed deep inside of her.

And Lucia herself didn't know about the power she had deep inside her. It was a power that she trained hard to have, but for some reason, it was locked. One could say it was probably because she didn't have anyone to push her past her limits.

"It's going to be an interesting battle to have. I wish we could fight this battle with just the two of us. That way the battle could be really entertaining." said Shito, looking over at the girl who was standing ten paces away from him.

Rito stared at Shito and smiled brightly, "I have a proposal for all of you, if you don't mind that is."

Hearing what he was saying, he grabbed the attention of everyone on the stage including the announcer. All of them wondered 'what could this idea of his be' since they were in the middle of the battle.

"Hmmm, sounds like you have something interesting in mind. Tell us what this interesting proposal you have…" Shito asked, curiously, "If the proposal is interesting then I will be willing to accept it."

"Well, if that's the case then since you want to fight with Lucia alone. How about me and your girlfriend drop out of this battle so the two of you can fight in this battle alone… wouldn't that be the best for us, after all, I don't feel like fighting right now."

"I agree to that proposal." Tenka at once agreed to the proposal. It was something that Shito had wanted to do for a long time, and she was not going to hold him back. "We are going to be leaving the stage right now, is that allowed… announcer?"

After saying that, the two teams turned to the announcer who was standing in between them. Nobody from the crowd could understand what they were doing down there so they were trying their best to be as quiet as they could to at least get some understanding.

"If both teams agreed to it then I don't see a problem with you all doing what you want to."

With that, Rito and Tenka walked off the stage. Since they had already forfeited the fight there was no reason for them to continue standing on the stage beside them.

Gripping his mic tightly, the announcer, Shiba, looked at the crowd with a bright smile before speaking loudly through the mic.

"Two students had a group out of the tournament, but these two are going to fight against each other in a one-on-one match."

"Wooooooooo!"

Even though the crowd barely knew what was going on, they still cheered because they wanted the battle to start as soon as possible. Both the crowd and the participants had been waiting to get the battle ready.

"Now, then, we'll start the final battle for the tournament. Both sides, if there is anything that you want to do, go ahead and do it now."

"Come forth, Thunsmanas."

"Appear before me, Excalibur."

Lucia summoned Excalibur, the beautiful longsword that was made purely from her mana, into a sword that was only possible to wiled by a 'hero'. A swordsman, that could use both magic and ki was the person who had a chance to awaken as a hero. A hero is one of the protectors of the world to fight against the demon race if they ever get out of control. No matter how much the hero and the demon king died, they would always be reincarnated.

The sword that Lucia was wielding was one that was comparable to Thunsmanas. A sword that can destroy multiple worlds.

So, he summoned the weapon because they could both fight on equal terms with the weapons they were wielding.

"All right. Well then, LET THE FINAL ROUND FOR THE TOURNMANT BEGIN!"

And so, the fight between the two students had finally begun. A battle that everyone was waiting to see.
