Episode 53- The Guild Hall

Standing in front of the register, the family stood looking at a beautiful woman who had long waist-length black hair. A black that was the same color as raven feathers, and her eyes were emerald, green.

The woman, Mio Nanase, was the woman who controlled everything at the registration desk. It was her job to make sure that everyone who wanted to become adventurers were able to register and become part of the guild.

Mio Nanase looked at the family that arrived in front of her face and smiled brightly, "Are here to become adventures… If so, please tell me the names of everyone in your party, and I will fill out the form for you all since you still look like kids that haven't graduated school."

"Well… My name is Shito Mahinu, and this is…—!"

Tenka tapped Shito on the shoulder. She didn't want him to introduce them since they had mouths of their own. So, they would be able to talk perfectly fine on their own.

After seeing her face, he immediately stepped back. He had no reason to refute anything that she just said. They could talk on their own, so there was no reason for him to introduce them.

"My name is Tenka… Tenka Vermillion."

Mio gasped loudly, looking at the girl standing before her. The girl was the only daughter of the Vermilion family, and she could barely recognize her because of the sudden change in her appearance. The Vermillions were known for their beautiful crimson hair, A color that not many people had in the world. Of course, lots of people in the world had red hair, but the Vermillion family had a shade of red that stood out from the different red-haired people.

Illayaka and Illya looked at the guild receptionist and smiled, opening their mouths to speak, "We are Illya and Illayaka… we are twins." the twins said in unison. They were glad to be able to give their names to the woman, enough so that they were speaking in the third person.

The guild receptionist, Mio Nanase, looked at the twins, analyzing them closely. She was trying to figure out who their parents were. From the eyes, they looked like Tenka, but from the unique shade of hair, they looked like—

"...Ah!" She looked over at Shito and immediately noticed that they were his daughters. His hairstyle is unique, after all, so figuring it out was easy. "A-are these… y-your children…?!"

—Shito Mahinu. A man with a unique light sandy-blond shade of hair color. His eyes caramel eyes shined brightly like sapphires, making him look like one of the most beautiful men to walk the earth.

"Yeah… they are our daughters. Is there anything wrong with that?" Shito asked as bluntly as possible. He had no reason to hide his daughters from anyone since no one could harm them with the barrier that they had over their bodies that would instantly kill any that was deemed a threat to them. Be it a person that transcends dimensionality. If they were a threat, they died by his barrier.

However, they were strong enough to kill anyone they wanted to. The twins are just like their father. They are beings that will keep evolving… nonstop.

Bodies that were infused with a darkness that was beyond nothing, their bodies will continuously absorb energy that was nothing and convert it to something that is stronger and darker. This nothingness is considered the darkest energy in the world. The energy that suppressed that of nihility.

"All right, I have already finished filling out all your paperwork. Which test do you all want to take, The intermediate or the advanced?" Mio asked, wondering which test they were going to pick.

Shito was confused by what she just said, he was smart, but he didn't know the difference between the two, "What's the difference between the two… if you don't mind giving a quick explanation."

"Well, how should I start this…?" Mio placed her hand on her face, slightly tilting her head to the left. " Ahhh, for each rank for the test, the more difficult. Advanced is the hardest, and if you take the advanced rank test, then you are guaranteed to become an adventure starting off at C-Rank. Depending on how much damage you can deal on the guild master would determine what rank you start off at. Intermediate is the test that almost everyone takes to avoid fighting the guild master."

The lowest rank for an adventure was F rank, with the highest rank being S rank. There was a limit to how high a rank could go on taking quests. Usually, an adventure could only go up one rank on a quest, and if they finished the quest, they would be upped a rank by the guild, but people could do it the normal way and complete ten quests of the rank they are in and be upgraded that way.

All the people that were registered as adventurers had the same goal. Their goal was to reach the highest rank and become pillars that protect the world. Everyone knew that they were basically in an age of peace, but… no one could be sure of how long that could last. Demons like to flood the world and cause problems for people. And for that sole reason, people wanted to be pillars that would protect the citizens and destroy the demons when they decided to evade the world.

"I'm going to take the advanced rank test… starting off at a low rank would limit the quest we can take with our daughters. Taking low-rank quests is going to be boring."

"...Oh, I see…."

There was a brief silence that covered the area after she spoke those words, and a few seconds later, she looked over at Tenka and smiled brightly.

"Are you going to be taking the advanced test with him?" Mio asked, smiling at the girl and the children who were holding her hand. The twins had been standing by their mother the whole time, with Illayaka holding her left hand and Illya holding her right.

Tenka slightly nodded her head before smiling, "Yes, we are going to be taking the advanced test with him, so please tell us what we are going to have to do to take the test." she said, tightly holding her daughter's hands. Tenka knew that her daughter wanted to take the exam to see how strong the guild master was.

Mio Naruse tapped the red button on the table. The button on the table was something that sent a sound to the guild master's office. Whenever they needed the guild master, she would tap the button to alert him of some news. The guild master was the protector of the building, so he wanted to make sure that everyone in his guild was safe. With his power, he vowed to protect the room where his people had fun and worked.

A sudden wave of pressure was released, and the air in the room became heavy; everyone except Shito, Tenka, and their daughter were gasping for air. Mio also looked like she was completely fine, even though a sudden wave of pressure covered the area.

Down the hallway, the steps of someone could be heard, steps that were heavy and loud, steps that sounded like a knight was walking around covered in heavy armor.

However, once the person arrived in the main room in the guild building, almost all of the people admired him. The man had long, silver hair and silver eyes. The man was about above average height, and his build was slightly above average."

"Did you call me… Mio?" the man, Pyros Navos, said, looking at the woman who was sitting behind the desk. "And if you did, what is the problem…?"

The man had a gentle voice, but you could feel how serious he was. There were a lot of bad people in the world, so he thought that people were there to kill his guild members, and he was going to stop them. Nobody had the courage to challenge him in the advanced test, so he forgot about that since he thought no one was going to give him a good challenge.

Mio smiled, "These kids want to take the advanced test… will you please read the terms of the challenge for them to fight against you?"

"I mean, I guess I can do that for the kids, but…—" Pryos took a quick look at the students that were standing in front of the desk and immediately figured that they were the students that he had to fight against. "Are you sure I should be fighting with these kids? They look like they are around the age of seventeen. They should be college students right now…."

"That doesn't matter at the moment. You have to give them what they asked for, and they want to fight against you, so… be a guild master who does his job right." Mio said in a gentle yet cold tone. Her voice was serious, and she was giving a cold look at the guild master.

"Ok, ok, I get it. Please stop with the cold looks because you are kind of scaring me, you know."

After saying that, Pryos quickly glanced at the students and started walking through the hallway, where he had just come from.

Mio followed behind the guild master with a smile on her face, "Come on, you four, we have to go back to her and start your test. Let's not stand around here… waiting around."

"...Ok, we are following behind you."

With that, Shito and his family walked behind Mio and the guild master so they could begin their test. They had to fight with the guild master, and they didn't know any of the rules except for one. The rule they knew was that they had to land a hit on the guild master. All of them could do that easily, even with the power that the guild master holds, a power that could collapse stars.
