Episode 5- The Beginning of a Mock Battle

In the plain white space, Sara Mahinu stood in front of the girl that she adopted. She was in a battle stance getting ready to fight with her. Alice stood in front of her adopted mother in a stance prepared to counter her attacks.

No matter how much destruction they caused inside the white space they were in, nothing would happen in the outside world. The space was completely independent of the world. It was an endless space with nothing in sight.

"Are you ready to start, Alice?"

".......Yes, I'm ready to start this battle."

After exchanging those words with each other before the space starts to rip open. Alive couldn't even see the movements let alone see what caused it, but she instantly put some distance between her and Sara.

Her gaze shifted back to Sara, and she noticed that she was holding a jet-black scythe. The scythe that she was holding in her hand was the one she used to cut the space apart. While the space was still in tack, the space was cut from top to bottom.

"Before you ask any questions, this scythe in my hand is called Selavvaxes, a scythe that was created by the nothingness in my body. Of course, I'm holding back against you, so this scythe isn't going to kill you."

"I'm glad that you are not going to kill me, but you should be worried about my strength because I'm not weak."

Alice suddenly disappeared. Her body was trained so she could use both Ki and Mana, the fear that most people had about trying to mix the powers was something that she was not scared of. Her mother was the source of her striving forward, so she trained in both Ki and Mana because she did not fear death.

In an instant, she appeared behind Sara with Mana and Ki channeled into her fist. A power that transcended that of what any normal human could wield was gathered in her hand. Throwing a right-hand jab, she swings her first with full force, the strength that could blow the whole kingdom away.

But she was suddenly stopped by the scythe that was in Sara's hand. Even though she was fast enough to out speed most people, she was fighting the strongest mage in the world, so her speed could be seen by her, and she had no blind spots.

As soon as Alice felt her fist come into contact, she spun her body to the left, throwing a kick that was infused with unknown power.

The unknown power was the mixture of both Ki and Mana. The power in her foot was enough for most of the mages in the world.

However, that was the same power that Sara held so it would have no effect on her. The reason was that she is above that kind of power. The unknown power had the ability to control fate while putting its user above the concept of fate.

The unknown power formed around Alice's body and a blue shadowy figure that was in the shape of a sword started to rise from the ground.

While the sword had a shape it had no solid form. The shadow had no physical form, only the shape of a blue shadowy figure that was shaped like a sword.

Alice grabbed the sword and the whole white space started to shake violently. At that moment, the blue shadow disappeared, and a navy-blue long sword appeared. The sword was the same color as the darkest parts of the sea. Same color as the aura that surrounds her body.

"......Gabriel…?!"

"H-huh? How do you know the name of my sword… This should be the first time you have seen this sword. No this is the first time I used this sword in general against someone in a fight."

"Well, we can have a talk about that, if you manage to hit me that is. You should know that it isn't going to be an easy thing to do."

Gabriel was the name of her sword; the sword was something that had been with her all of her life. It was her mother's sword, the sword that was left with her before her mother dropped her off in front of the orphanage doors.

With a single swing of her sword, the space around the area began to warp and shatter.

Her sword had the ability to destroy space-time with a single swing of her sword. The sword was able to completely shatter space-time, and it can even destroy fate. Slicing through higher dimensions was not a problem with the sword that was in her hand.

"No, no, no, that's not allowed. You are strong, but that is not something that's going to be able to harm me. But I should be able to help you get stronger than you currently are."

The scythe that was in her hands started to shine in a bright white light. The name title that was given to the scythe was the Scythe of Creation and Destruction. Swing the sword in her hand, A bright white crescent-shaped blade was released from her blade, and the space that was being destroyed started to be recreated.

Selavvaxes had the ability to destroy or create anything that she wanted to, the destruction capabilities were lower than Abyzou, but she could create anything from nothingness. After all, she was—

"Did you really think that was going to be enough to kill me, The Witch of Eternal Creation...? If you did then you have another thing coming. No matter what is destroyed my power would be able to recreate it, the ability that denies the very concept of destruction."

—The God of Eternal Creation. Sara Mahinu was the god of creation, even with her soul holding the power of nothingness. Half of her soul was overwritten by the power of creation. One could say that her very existence was Destruction and Creation. Both creation and destruction simultaneously existed inside her body.

"Why are you telling me something like this?" Alice asked, staring at her foster mother, "Aren't we supposed to be enemies at the moment?"

"I don't care about that, after all, aren't you supposed to be my foster daughter, it shouldn't be a problem if I'm telling my daughter my secrets. My brother would've also known about this if he used his skill Void Eyes on me because they see anything that's supernatural even ghosts, which are things that can be destroyed by his eyes. If he was to stare at something too long with Void Eyes, then that thing would be reduced to nothingness even if it was the world itself."

"I see… Is Uncle Shito some kind of overpowered being? By the way, you are describing his skills then he should've been able to beat Lucia easily."

The two ran toward each other, tightly gripping the weapons in their hands. Alice and Sara had been talking to each other for a while, and now it was time for them to start the battle once again.

Swinging her scythe, the strike was aimed with perfect speed and precision, but the attack was not strong enough to harm her. As a matter of fact, the attack was aimed in a place that allowed her to counter it.

Sensing the blade approaching her body from the right side, Alice quickly stepped to the left before swinging her sword in an upward motion, hitting the blade of her scythe.

After hitting the blade of her scythe gave her enough of an opening for her to attack her chest so without any hesitation, she thrust the blade at her sword almost like she was using a spear.

But Sara spun her scythe in her hand, blocking the thrust with the pearly white snath of her scythe.

The two of them were moving at speeds that were beyond light speed.

Once she counterattacked her with the snath of her scythe, Sara took a single step backward before swinging her scythe upwards, towards her throat.

Instantly feeling an ominous presence approaching her throat, Alice instantly moved her head out of the way, avoiding the incoming strike that was dangerous to her life.

Alice thrust her hand forward, with the unknown power infused into her hand. Ki enhanced the physical abilities and with enough mana, you could enhance your magic capabilities….

However, that was different from the unknown power which enhanced everything single thing. Any physical capabilities and magical capabilities were enhanced which was the reason that people got killed using the power. After all, not everyone's body can handle the pressure of the Unknown Power enhancing everything in a person's body.

"Darknor Legeas."

The palm of her hand was filled with particles from the dark element. The unknown power that was in her hand amplified the power of the dark element.

In the next moment, a giant beam of darkness was released from Alice's right palm. The beam connected with Sara's face.

What followed from the beam of darkness could only be called 'annihilation'. Everything in the white space started to shift, the attack started to shift space-time. In an instant, a giant black hole from the beam of darkness.

The white space around her was being sucked into the black hole. She wouldn't die from her attack, but if the space was destroyed, she would instantly die.

Nonetheless, the attack that she sent toward her was something that started changing in her body from the start of the battle. She herself knew what would happen if she kept fighting her in close combat. Thus, she used the Unknown Power to enhance her physical capabilities.

"That attack was strong enough to make a black hole in the center of this space. Even if she is strong. Mother shouldn't be strong enough to survive a black hole."

Suddenly, the black hole that was devouring her body was destroyed. With a single wave of her hand, the black hole shattered like a piece of glass.
