Episode 36- A Type of Persistence that Could Lead to Terrible Consequences!

In a leisure room, there sat eight familiar figures, watching the battles that were going on outside of the window that only they could see through. Of course, no one on the outside could see them in the mirror. One was Sara Mahinu, and she was sitting beside her nieces while they watched the battles. Her brother was fighting, after all, so it made sense for her to stay and watch. The other two were Illayaka and Illya, and they were happily smiling as they watched their parents when their first fight. The rest of the people were the five great mages, and they were surprised to see the abilities the boy and the girl displayed, while Tenka didn't really show much. The five great mages could barely sense her speed. And Shito's abilities were beyond that of any kind of mage in training.

The five great mages were sitting still, trying to process the things that their brains just saw, even though they could use other magic abilities… witnessing his last ability was something they would see once in a lifetime. Most of them knew not to say anything because of how the little girls acted before. They could tell that they were dangerous, so they were trying their best to avoid making them mad. 'If they were dangerous, then their parents are bound to be even more dangerous'... that was what they were thinking at that moment.

"...All of you would be good working in the government. Why don't you accept the fact and come with me to the government building?" Lucas Evanstine said, smirking slightly. He had completely forgotten what the girls had done earlier when he said the same thing, but this time they would not do anything because their parents would be there soon.

Sara was sitting quietly, waiting for her brother to arrive. Of course, she could handle him, but she wanted to let him see what kind of person he was dealing with. After all, her brother might even try to kill him for the comments he was making.

"Are you sure you can handle the consequences?" Sara uttered those words. Her voice was infused with mana, so everyone in the room froze in fear. Even though she infused her voice with mana, she was not going to attack him because—

Sweating heavily, Lucas Evanstine slightly looked up at Sara and smirked, "O-Of course… I'm going to say the same thing in front of everyone else." His tone of voice showed that he was confident in himself, even with the minor stuttering he was doing.

—She wanted to make sure that he would go through with it. And after forcing pressure on him to see if he was going to yield, his resolve did not falter so she didn't care about what happened to him next, after all, her brother was going to kill him when he arrived, no one could really stop him if he decided to retaliate.

"Make sure you don't regret it because your life is now in jeopardy. And before you ask, I'm not going to stop what's going to happen to you."

Illayaka and Illya looked at the man with pity since they knew exactly what she was talking about. They had been with their father for a while and knew how serious his family was to him… and the three of them knew that he would die.

"Mister… you better stop that because Papa is not going to like anything that you are saying. Matter of fact, Papa is going to be super mad if he hears about this." the twins said in unison. They were trying to warn the man to stop before things got out of hand. After all, he was going to die, but they could still save him.

But he was not going to yield to know one. His ego was in the way, and the only thing he wanted was to force the little girls to be workers for the government. Everyone knew how the government was. They were worse than the assassin guild because they would outright kill the families of the people and manipulate the kids to work with them. One might ask how they get this done…? Well, that's because they would kill the mothers and blame it on some sort of organization, and once they finished, they gave them the choice to leave, but since they had no family, they had no choice but to stay with the government organization.

"I don't need to fear your Papa! What kind of hopes does he have beating me?"

As those words came out of his mouth, he felt a strange presence behind him. Someone snuck up on him, and he didn't even notice that they were behind him. He slowly turned back and noticed a familiar figure behind him.

The boy behind him had beautiful long hair that was a long blond color, and his eyes were a beautiful shade of caramel brown. He had that no human man could possibly have; every single object on his body was perfect, giving him godlike features. Shito Mahinu was the name of the beautiful boy.

"...What kind of conversations are you having with my daughters? It seems like they are annoyed by your presence." he looked at the man, and his facial expression showed no type of emotion, "Please have your answer ready quickly. I don't have all day to play around with you."

Illayaka and Illya smirked and got up out of their seats, running toward their father.

Of course, they knew that he was going to figure out what was happening to them, so they decided that they should speed up the process. After all, even if they didn't… he would still face some consequences knowing how their father was. Illayaka heard her father's title, The Void King, being spread around the realm of the void, and the rumor always talked about how cruel he was. And Illya knew firsthand what he would do if someone hurt his family because he told her to destroy the whole assassin guild for what they did to her before she became his father.

"Papa, this man is bullying us… he kept talking about sending us to the government. He also said that he doesn't care what you have to say about it because no one was going to stop him." The twins hugged their father tightly. They wanted to see how Lucas Evanstine would act when their father tried to harm him. furthermore, he was talking that crap earlier, and even if their father did nothing, they were going to kill them still.

"What are you two talking about? He didn't really say that did he?"

Shito asked, looking over at his sister. He knew they were trying to get something started, so he didn't want to act without getting the right information. Hurting someone who had not wronged him was something he was not going to do anymore.

"There is no need for you to ask anyone because I, myself, can tell you that I indeed said those words, loud and proudly… what are you going to do about it, brat?"

"...Haaaa." Shito sighed, looking at the man in front of him. He had gotten the confirmation he needed, so there was no reason for him to keep standing around quietly, "Sister, put a barrier around the area. Make sure that no one can get in."

Snapping his fingers, a small dome-shaped barrier covered the center of the room, the room was already significant enough to fit five thousand people, so they had enough room to fight inside the room. Once the barrier surrounded them, Shito slowly started walking toward them.

"Brother, you can do whatever you want with him. Just make sure he is alive at the end of this fight. Even though there are more people to replace him, I don't want to go and have to destroy the whole government for something so petty like this."

Selena looked at Shito before looking over at his sister, "Are you sure you are going to let your brother fight him? He is still one of the five great mages. So, he is stronger than him even with the abilit—"

"Don't worry about my brother," Sara quickly interrupted, "he is going to kill him, so you should be worrying about your friend."

Hearing her words, the four mages froze in shock. They were wondering why she said that her brother was going to 'kill' him. She had just announced that he couldn't kill him.

"What the heck are you talking about…?!" Kiana Scarlet shouted. "You just said that he was not allowed to kill him, so why are you changing your mind."

"But she never changed her mind. She has been keeping her word the entire time."

The four mages looked towards the doorway, noticing a figure standing in the doorway. The person was none other than Tenka Vermillion, the mother of the twins sitting in the room.

Saito Urashima looked at the woman and smiled, "What do you mean by that? She just said that he would kill him. There is no other way to think about it."

"I expected you mages to be smarter than this, but if I got to go into detail, then I guess I'm going to have to do that." She took a good look at the mages that were sitting near each other and opened her mouth, "If you were listening to her closely, she said 'make sure he is alive at the end of the fight' so to put it simply she never said he couldn't kill him."
