Episode 28- The start of a battle with the assassins' guild

Illya stood on top of the building of the assassin's guild. The mana that was in her body was released causing a rainbow aura to form around her body. An energy that was strong enough to destroy the world.

"I know why my father put me on this challenge. He wants me to show the people that harmed and forced me to become an assassin the pain. The despair of death. All the guilds' higher-ups are present in this building, and they all are going to die with their guild members."

Illya smirked at the sight of the assassin guild. Waving her hand in the air, a gust of wind blew the whole guild building away.

Every assassin in the building felt someone using magic, and they immediately abandoned the guild base, appearing in front of the girl floating in the air.

Over three hundred assassins were present in front of the girl, Illya Mahinu, floating in the air releasing a little bit of her mana.

"What are you doing here, little girl!?" one of the assassins cried out, looking up at the floating girl. There was no reason for her to be there fighting with them.

"I am going to kill you. Everyone in this guild is going to perish tonight, there is no escape even if you beg me for your lives… the life that you all thought you were going to have is now coming to an end."

The assassin that just spoke to her smirked, whistling, and sending a signal to get the attention of the other assassins. The lower ranks were scattered around the forest.

All the assassins in the guild were not always staying still in the guild. Sometimes the assassins' guild has their members spread out throughout the forest so they can protect the guild building from any intruders. That was how the guild operated but… they would not care for each other, on the outside they seemed to care for each other but on the inside, they would not hesitate to abandon one of their own.

Each of the assassins could hear the signal of one of their own, immediately they all knew that the guild was in trouble, so they went to help. They might abandon each other but they all believed and helped the guild master.

"You called all the other assassins here. Even if they come here, they will not be able to do much since I am stronger than all of you… including your guild master." Illya looked at the assassins. She immediately felt the assassin nearing her.

…Looks like the assassins are getting closer. They have started to move faster than they normally do. All the assassins are smart so they should already know that their guild master was going to die with them, and they are trying to do everything to prevent it.

All the assassins appeared in front of Illya. There were about ten thousand assassins present in the area. They all had the ability to use ki above the normal limits. They could all increase their physical attacks by about fifty percent.

Every single assassin readied their dagger, getting ready to attack Illya. They knew fighting was the only option they had as soon as they entered her presence… the girl before them was a monster.

"All of you are going to die!" Illya Mahinu shouted, and her voice suddenly changed, becoming a loud roar. "So don't expect to leave this place alive!"

With that, Illya rushed toward the assassins and a katana suddenly appeared in her hand. It was a regular black katana that shined brightly under the moonlight. A sword that was sharp enough to cut through an entire planet.

"Haaaaaaaa!" Every assassin shouted as they started rushing at the girl.

Illya cut one of the assassins down in a heartbeat, his blood splattered everywhere, and she kicked his body to the side since he had died. Her movements were so swift and clean that with every swing of her sword, it looked like she was dancing. There was no magic or ki being used in her attacks; everything was with her physical strength.

"Ugggghhhh!!"

Assassins were shouting in agony as bodies were dropping one after the other; every time she swung her sword an assassin was cut down. Her sword was swung ten times every single second, and she had been swinging her sword for a minute straight. She was faster than the speed of light.

However, Illya was still holding back. She could be faster if she decided to, but she wanted to warm up with the lower-rank assassins before the higher ranks started swarming in.

By that time, she would have already finished all the lower-rank assassins, so in the meantime, she had to figure out what abilities she inherited from her mother. After all, she knew that her parents were watching her from a distance, so she had to show them everything she had gotten.

…H-how do I figure out about the abilities I have received? My father never told me how to look at the abilities I have received. Is there a way—

With her thoughts being interrupted, Illya's mind started to flood with information that she had never received before. Memories of magic spells she never used. The four great elements were now learned by the girl and some of the other elements had been learned.

Thus, she figured out what abilities she received from her parents. There was no need for her to think about her abilities. Everything was programmed to appear in her head by her father whenever she thought about it.

"Light shower."

About three thousand miniature balls of light formed in the air. The balls were made from pure light. The balls of light started to shatter, splitting into countless light beams. Above some of the assassin's heads, and beams were released from the balls of light.

After the first couple of beams, about six thousand assassins died without any of them being able to resist.

Illya was still slaughtering assassins as she was chanting her magic spell… even if she was going to use magic, she was not going to quit staining her hands with the blood of her enemies, with the sword she had in her hand.

About seven thousand assassins have died at my hands. It was a pointless battle, none of them have even been able to put a scratch on me. Running in groups did not help them one bit.

Coming to a sudden stop, Illya stood in front of the assassins, looking to see how many were left alive. She was getting bored of all the weak opponents she had to fight.

The assassins looked at her in pure fear. They were horrified by the little girl they were fighting. No mercy was shown to any of them, and the girl was slaughtering them. It was as if she was used to killing people. Well, that was because she was used to slaughtering countless people, but she was giving them a one-sided beating.

"Who are you?! Why did you come here to kill us?!" An assassin shouted, as his voice started to get louder and louder. "We have not done anything to offend you in any way, so why… Why are you attacking us!"

Illya forgot that her whole appearance changed. The reason they did not have any idea about the person attacking them, was because of how much her face changed and she looked up and—

"I am Zero-Two, the second-best assassin of this guild… well, you could say 'used' to be now, since I am not in this guild anymore."

The assassins were shocked by her sudden reveal; they could not believe the girl that was surrounding them was Zero-Two, the second-strongest assassin in the guild.

None of the assassins could admire her anymore because she was going around and slaughtering everyone in the guild. They had to last until the higher-ranking assassins appeared to help them. Knowing there was no way for them to beat her because she was the second strongest in the guild.

"…Why are you attacking your own people…! Aren't we in a guild together!" One of the assassins shouted.

"I have never thought of you people as guild members, and you need to quit acting like you thought of me as a person that was a part of this guild. I know everyone in this guild's true intentions, and they are not good in any way. The members of this guild force people and kids to become assassins."

They could not say a single word. Every assassin who was present knew that every word that came out of her mouth was the truth. The assassins forced and took away the emotions of people throwing them into a system that kills people for a living. The kids could have gone out and had a normal life but…. That was not how the assassin's guild worked. None of the kids they took in were allowed to play and have fun because they had to train intensely.

All the kid assassins were killed by the people in the assassin guild because of the excessive amount of training they were forced to endure. The only assassin that made it out of the kid training program was Zero-Two or the daughter of Tenka Vermillion and Shito Mahinu… Illya Mahinu.

"This so-called system of assassins is going to be destroyed today, and none of the assassins will be leaving this place alive!" Illya shouted, her voice becoming louder like a thunderous roar. "So come out guild master and higher rank assassins so I can kill you!"

Upon saying those words, a gate appeared on the ground, and people started walking out of it. There were a bunch of mages and assassins that were walking out of the gates. Approximately ten thousand of each.

Illya smiled looking at the man that was leading them, he had a scar on his left eye. The man had a burly build, short black hair, and azure blue eyes. There was a big cigar in his mouth.

"It's nice that you have  finally arrived, guild master."
