Episode 28- Family Time

Inside the hotel room, two figures stood in a beautifully decorated room. One of the figures was Shito standing in the kitchen with an apron wrapped around his waist. The fabric of his apron was made from the purest materials, and the words 'Void King' were emblazoned on the apron in a hue of an assortment of colors. Beside him stood Tenka who was also wearing an apron emblazoned with the words 'Resplendent Mage'. The apron was made by his daughters.

Standing in the kitchen, Shito had his hands out in front of a portal. The portal was linked to the freezer that he kept in his castle. Although the castle was above dimensions, he could assess it. From the freezer, he decided to pull out eight steaks that were of the highest quality.

After grabbing the pork chops, he swiped his hand, and another portal formed in front of his face beside the other portal—this time the portal was connected to the cabinets that were in his castle. And he pulled out onions, ketchup, Worcester sauce, sugar, and soy sauce.

Shito closed his portal and started walking towards the kitchen, placing everything that he gathered from his castle on the counter that was directly beside the stove. "...Well, let's hurry up and start making this meat before our daughters come back. I want to have the food ready before they decide to make their way back here…" he said, turning her head toward Tenka.

Tenka gave a small nod before asking. "Do you want me to help you with something?"

"Can you please set the table for me? I'll do everything that is related to cooking. Since I plan to make this meal one of the best that they could ask for. So, for me to do that, I would have to do it myself."

"Ok. I will do as you say…"

With that, Tenka walked away from him and then she began grabbing plates and other silverware, and started sitting up at the table…

Then, after she walked towards the table, Shito cut on the stove, by using his mana. Everything in the room could be turned on with mana, and he had enough to coat countless worlds with his mana for an eternity.

Suddenly, a bowl appeared in front of his eyes, and he threw four onions in the air, cutting the onions to pieces in an instant. Although he was cooking his speed was still a hundred times faster than the speed of light.

Once the onions were cut, he then cut the meat into thin pieces.

Ketchup, Worcester sauce, sugar, and soy sauce were mixed to make the sauce. He learned how to cook a while back, so he knew how to make various sauces and foods.

Shito threw the diced onions and sliced pork chops into the pot, and the color of the food started to change quickly.

When the diced onions turned transparent, he added the sauce and that's when he knew that the food was finished. And after that, he stopped supplying the stove with his magic and began to walk toward the plates that were laid out at the table.

Overall, the dish that he cooked was of the highest level, which even the best chef could not do no matter what world he went to, his cooking was of the highest level. The pork was also of the highest quality since the store that Sebastian shopped at sold better food than the food in the world that he was currently in.

However, when he arrived at the table, he placed his food on the eight plates that were around the table—and put a spell over the food to keep it warm.

"Uhhh," Tenka looked at the food in surprise before she decided to speak up. "Do you think we should make something sweet for others to eat? And your food looks good by the way."

"I already have other sweet things in my castle. Sebastian and the maids always keep the castle filled with other snacks and things for when we decide to visit the place. After all… they liked the twins very much, and they also like you too."

In response to his words, Tenka smiled brightly before reaching her hand through a portal that was connected to his castle. "Well, what kind of cake would you like for me to pick out...?" she asked, turning her head towards the portal, and sticking her head through it.

To her question, Shito instantly responded. "Red velvet … I would like to have red velvet cake please," he said with a little emotion in his tone.

Rightfully so, the shelf was filled with various brands of sweets, the red velvet cake stood out, and there we not only one cake, but there were also more than three cakes on the entire shelf. And there was possibly more throughout the castle.

But once the cake was in her hands, she turned her head back and slightly smiled. "I heard a change in your tone early. Is red velvet cake your favorite?" Her voice had changed a bit. She had sounded a bit British for a second

The accent in her voice got stronger. I guess she is really mixed with a different race. Hmm, she is human, but her voice is different. Her grandfather is most likely from another world.

"...You could say that…" he responded.

"Awwww, you are so cute with the way you act," Tenka said, walking closer to him. "I glad to know that even you have something you enjoy. Be sure to tell me more about yourself some other time but until then…"

A small covered her face—no, she has had the same small ever since she met her daughter Illayaka. Then, she smiled brightly.

As she took another step forward, Tenka's lips pressed against his.

Hmm... This kiss is completely unexpected. However…—

The kiss causes his mind to fill up with various thoughts that are not his own, and that is how he comes to the conclusion that he is reading the mind of the girl before him. It was something that never happened before, but his reaction was different than usual—and since he could feel more emotion than in the past, her power was doing things that he wanted to do deep down. With this, I can show my love to you. Though I wish we could hurry and progress this relationship to the next stage, this is good enough for right now. The next stage is engagement…

She bore no ill will, the only thing she wanted to do was be able to spend her time with and progress their relationship further. After all… she wanted to have some fun while spending time with her family, but the only obstacle that was in their way at the moment was her father.

After some time passed, she abruptly withdrew.

"This is something I can give you. Although our date ended when we walked through this door. I feel like these cooking sessions we had were a part of the date. And I wanted to end this date officially with a kiss from the heart. So, I hope you accept my lov—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Shito put his index finger on her lip and smiled brightly. "I know how much you love me. And I love you just as much…"

Although she had seen him smile multiple times, the small that he just flashed her with was a heartfelt one, that came from the deepest parts of his body.

"Ahhhh," the girl said. "That was so cute. I know that this is a one-time thing at the moment, however, I plan to get him to the point where he can show all his emotions." Tenka muttered to herself.

But soon after hearing a noise at the door, the smile that was on his face changed back to his normal expressionless face. And he began to walk towards the door.

Once he arrived, he opened the door and was met by two little girls who were clinging to his leg. They were moving faster than the human eye could see, he could see them as they were approaching him, but he let them grab him since they were his daughters, and he doesn't hit children.

"Welcome back, I'm glad that you came back at this time, the food is ready so you can go sit at the table," Shito said, patting his daughters on the head.

The twins didn't say a single word and instantly ran to the kitchen to sit down at the table. It was clear that the girls were in a rush to eat the food that was cooked for them.

After his daughters vanished from his sight, he looked at the three girls who were standing in front of the door. One of the girls was Alice, another was Lucia, and the last person was Lilith. Furthermore, they seemed to be happy about something, but he quickly deduced that it was because of the time they spent together.

Shito turned and started to walk back to the kitchen. "If you are coming inside to eat then come on in—food is waiting for the three of you at the table…"

Hearing his words, the three girls woke in the room, and closed the door behind him, heading to the kitchen where the food was set for them.

After arriving in the kitchen, Shito looked at the red velvet cake and noticed that it was already sliced up and severed on plates around the table. The food was sitting on the plates beside a napkin with pieces of bread placed on it. Each person had a napkin with bread on it, so there were two plates and a napkin. One plate was filled with the food that Shito cooked for them, and the other plate had a slice of red velvet cake.

However—

"You are back already. If you all would please take your seats, we can go ahead and start eating our food." Tenka said, softly smiling at the group.

"Wow…this food looks good; I wonder who cooked it." the three girls asked in unison.

Tenka simply smiled hearing the words coming out of their mouth. "Shito took his time to cook this meal, so make sure you enjoy his food. And before you even ask, he is a good cook."

"Well, that would mean that he helped you cook the meal that we ate earlier today."
