Episode 20- A Date That Ended Abruptly 

After the two of them finished eating their ice cream they ended up walking outside of the shop, about to start the next part of their day.

"Well, what should we do now? Is there anything you want to do?"

When Shito asked that, Tenka started to think about what they could do next, since she was originally from this city, she should have known about everything there.

"Well, how about we watch a movie together? That would be something we both enjoy."

"Ok, what are we going to go watch?" Shito asked, this was going to be his first time in a movie theater with a girl, so he did not know what they were going to watch together.

Tenka grabbed Shito's hand, running to the movie theater that was directly across from the ice cream shop. She still had not answered his question and then–

"I do not know what we are going to watch but… we can see what kind of movies will be playing in the movie theater and we can pick it together. We are going to be watching the movie together, so it is best if both of us can enjoy it."

Shito did not say a single word, he just let the Vermillion princess drag him into the movie theater. Nothing could be really said between the two of them… he had nothing for them to do because of the lack of knowledge about the area.

The two students arrived inside the movie theater, and they received stares from all the people who were present in the movie theater.

"Wow… that couple sure is dressed fancy." a woman said, looking at the two as they walked up to the posters of the movies that were currently about to play in the theater.

Tenka and Shito ignored the woman, they did not see a need to correct the woman about their current relationship the two students might end up dating in the future so there was no need to deny anything.

They arrived in front of the posters and noticed that every single movie that was playing in the afternoon was an action film or a romance film.

"...So, what movie are we going to watch, Tenka?"

Tenka looked at the movie's suggestion and immediately eliminated the romance movies, there was no way that she could sit beside him watching a movie about love.

Hm... Romance is not a good suggestion; I mean watching a movie about love with the person you care about is something that might turn strange and the thought of watching them kiss is going to make me blush.  Tenka thought, staring at the movies that were on the papers.

After scanning through the posters, she quickly noticed a movie that stood out... A movie that was named "George and the Action Machine", a movie that was for kids.

"We can watch George and the Action Machine."

Shito sighed.

"What is this movie about?"

Tenka looked away from him, thinking that he was going to make fun of her for picking a kid's movie.

"You don't need to know what the movies are about, all that I can tell you is that this is a kids' movie," Tenka said, embarrassed that the movie that she picked out was a movie that children go to watch.

I cannot tell him that I am picking out a kids' movie because... I'm embarrassed to watch a kissing scene with him. Even though it is an action movie for teenagers and up there might be a kissing scene in it, unlike a kid's movie that will not show any kissing whatsoever.

"I mean… I do not mind watching the movie with you. You have your reasons for picking out this movie so there is no need to question you."

"Thank you for understanding, Shito."

Shito and Tenka walked to the area where the movie they were about to watch was playing, they were already spending too much time standing around in the same spot, and the movie was going to be starting soon.

Arriving inside the theater room, the two students sat in the seats that were in the back of the theater. There were multiple rows of seats that were in the theater that led up to the front where the movie was playing.

"The movie is going to start soon, so we might as well get comfortable, we are going to be sitting here for an hour and a half." said the Vermillion princess, Tenka Vermillion.

"...Ok, I'm going to be still for the little bit of time we have her."

Before the movie could even start, the two students sensed that someone was watching them. Shito simply ignored it, acting like he did not sense the group of people around them but… Tenka, on the other hand, was getting a little nervous she knew that the people that were after her were assassins. Just when she thought she was going to get a break and enjoy her date with him, something had to ruin it.

"I have to go now; I'll try to be back as soon as possible," Tenka said, quickly getting up out of her seat, and running towards the exit of the movie theater.

I…I cannot get him involved in this fight with these assassins. Even if he is strong, these assassins are on a whole different level and the thought of him dying is terrifying to me, and I'm not going to let him die if it is the last thing I am going to do.

With those thoughts, Tenka ran out of the movie theater, leaving Shito sitting there alone.

"I wonder how long she had to put up with this, she instantly knew that people were out to harm her."

Noticing that the people were following them, he left the theater room chasing after Tenka, he got up out of his seat and followed behind them. There was no way that he was going to let them kill her, but he was not going to interrupt their fight until they got the advantage over her in the battle.

—Well, it looks like it is time for me to follow her. I have a job to protect the vermillion princess and I know that she left to keep me safe because she thought that the assassin was stronger than me… but putting her life on the line like that is unacceptable I have grown to like her and her dying now is not going to happen.

Shito suddenly vanished from plain sight, it was as if he disappeared from the face of the earth.

Tenka was running through the forest, trying to lead the assassins to a place where they should fight without holding back. There were too many people in the city and if they got caught in the crossfire of her battle, she would be a little sad, blaming herself for killing people.

A group of assassins were following her, they all had black cloaks, and hoods that covered their faces. The only thing you could see from the assassins were their eyes, which were cold-blooded and full of bloodlust, ready to slaughter the Vermillion princess who was leading them away.

Coming to a sudden stop, Tenka arrived on a grassy lawn that was about two hundred meters away from town. In the center of nowhere, there were no buildings or trees. The lawn was green, a field that looked like it was never-ending.

"Come on out! I know you are following me!" Tenka shouted, loud enough for the assassins to hear.

"Well, well, we should've known that you had already noticed us." one of the five assassins said, appearing in front of her. "As to be expected of a princess that slaughter countless A and S rank assassins."

The assassin had been after her for her whole life, she was simply not going to let some of them go after she got strong enough to defend herself. There are lots of people who would spare someone even if they attacked her but… Tenka was not one of them, once you crossed her you died it was as simple as that.

"How many did they send this time… because you know last time three a rank and an s rank weren't enough to handle me, if they sent the same amount again then you are all going to die where you stand and there is no debating it."

"Of course, we are not that stupid. The amount you got to fight now is five S-rank assassins." the assassin, Zero-One, said, looking at the Vermillion princess. "And before you even decide to ask, they are all top-rank assassins."

Tenka's eyes widened, hearing what the assassin that was standing before her said. Everyone knows of the five great assassins of the Assassin's Guild. There was a group of five that slaughtered many high-ranking people in society, they took a quest for anyone and would kill anyone.

Assassins were not given any names, they all were given code names and if a person wanted to become an assassin, they would have to be stripped of the names… because having a name in the assassins' guild was illegal. People hunt after the assassin's guild and having a name could connect you to many people, thus putting everyone in danger.

This is going to be trouble, fighting three s-rank assassins by myself is going to be suicide but I'm going to try my best to stay alive because… I want to see him again!

She looked at the assassin Zero-One that was standing in front of her, and she smiled, looking at the assassins that were hiding their presence. While she could not see them, she could sense them perfectly fine, and they were all standing behind the assassin, Zero-One.

"Are you going to tell the others to come out?!"

"You all may come out now, we have a job to complete… It's best we get this over with," said Zero-One, with his sea-blue eyes shining brightly.

The four assassins that were standing behind her became visible. Zero-Two was the second strongest after Zero-One, she had pink eyes, and she was a young petite girl that was around the age of ten and was 143 centimeters (about 4.69 ft). Zero-Three was a burly man with black eyes standing at a height of 180 centimeters (about 5.91 ft), slightly shorter than Zero-One. Zero-Four was a girl who had green eyes and a slim figure, standing at a height of 176 centimeters (about 5.77 ft). Zero-Five had purple eyes and was the same height as Zero-Four and she was the same size.

There all the assassins stood in front of the girl, with their eyes shining brightly, ready to kill the girl and get the mission over with.
