Episode 18- The Collusion of Two Best Friends (Part One)

Lucia Komeiji and Lilith Leoinbell had a friendship that went back before they even joined the academy. They were friends who stayed together because of how close their families were. Inseparable from one another because they liked to be near each other.

But deep-down Lilith harbored feelings for her friends that were beyond something of a normal friendship. She actually loved her friend and would do anything for her. That was one of the reasons she put so much effort into her training because she was tired of seeing her friend without someone strong enough to fight against her.

Going beyond a normal friendship is impossible because if it goes wrong, it could ruin their friendship. That was something she was not willing to push now. After all, she treasured being with her friend the most.

Lilith was not into any type of man, the only person that she wanted to be with was Lucia.

I wish I could tell her about my feelings for her. Even though we are both women… I still harbor some feelings for my best friend. And there's nothing that's going to stop my feelings for her. Lilith thought looking at her best friend who was standing before her. She felt that at any moment her feelings would explode for her friend.

Tapping her foot on the ground, Lilith causes every tile in the arena to shake and crack. Mana was covering her body protecting her almost like an armor set. The aura she was releasing was a violet color—the same color as her hair.

No magic was being used by her. The only thing she was doing was releasing her pressure. The pressure caused most of the mages in the arena to quiver in fear.

Lilith's face had a calm expression, she did not fear the strongest student in the class, and she was willing to fight her head-on.

"—With this strength."

In an instant, Lilith was in front of Lucia with her hand covered in a purple light in her hand. Her hand was close to Lucia's chest.

"!"

Quickly evading the attack, Lucia looked up and noticed that Lilith was sending anything close-range to attack her. Her fist was beaming with mana.

…What kind of training has she been doing? Even though I'm only evading her, she has gotten faster than she has before.

Lucia quickly poured some mana into her fist and quickly threw a punch at her. Their fists clashed and sent a shockwave through the whole universe.

Even though they themselves were not aware of it, the battle they had could destroy the universe. That was if Sara was not there. She had a barrier over the universe that protected it from any kind of destruction—so even if their attacks were strong enough to destroy the universe. It would not happen because of the barrier.

Lucia held her hand out and the hilt of a sword started to appear. Gold light was covering the blade of the sword. Grabbing the sword with the hilt, she raised the sword over her head.

With the blade of the sword still covered in a bright golden light, she smiled and—

"Come forth, Excalibur."

—the golden light that once surrounded the blade of the sword disappeared and was formed as a rapier-like blade.

The sword's hilt was pure golden in color and the blade was jet-black.

Pointing her sword at her friend, she smiled. Her body was glowing in a beautiful gold aura and sparkles in her aura almost like you were looking at a night sky. The sparkles in her aura were gleaming like the stars in the sky.

"We have been together all of our lives so you might as well bring out your weapon to fight with me." Lucia and Lilith had been together all their lives and of course, she would know everything about her friend.

"Appear before me, Moonshine."

Hearing her call, countless moonlight-colored particles began to descend from the sky.

A moonlight-colored mist-shaped sword begins to emerge into the world. There was no object there, only a moonlight-colored mist existed.

Raising her hand into the air, the mist sword slowly started to float.

She gripped the handle of the sword, and the mist suddenly disappeared, and in its place was a long purple sword.

"This is something that you wanted to do so… this is the least I can do as your friend. Fight with you and try to satisfy you."

With those words, Lilith began to move at light speed, and her sword instantly started soaring in his stomach.

No hesitation was present in her swings. If the blade really connected, she would kill her. When your opponent is stronger than you must have the will to kill them to at least be able to damage them.

Lucia parried her sword strike and sent a strike of her own. Their blades were clashing and sending shockwaves throughout the whole arena.

They were swinging and parrying each other with every swing they took, their blades were changing directions in mid-air, in the middle of their fight they were trying to find an opening but there was not a single weakness that either of them could find. So, they were trying to create weaknesses by constantly striking each other.

Their strengths were beyond what the other students had. Their battle looked like that of an actual swordsman battle.

"…You have gotten stronger, Lilith. You have become stronger, I'm surprised." Lucia's compliment was heartfelt. She was completely serious about everything she just said.

Even though Lucia was not using her full strength, she had noticed that they were even at the current strength they were fighting at.

"Thank you. I appreciate the compliment you have given me."

After a couple of seconds of clashing, Lilith jumped back, raising her hand towards the heavens. Dark clouds started to cover the sky and the roars of thunder could be heard. Purple lighting was covering the sky and the cumulonimbus clouds were getting darker.

Lilith could use all four of the great elements and she even had abilities of some of the different elements. But now she was using a lighting-based attack and she called it—

"Ruin Dragon."

—Ruin Dragon. There was a legend that said that there was one dragon that went on a rampage bringing chaos to the world. It was a purple dragon that was said to produce lightning from its mouth. Destroying everything in its way.

Lucia looked at her Channing lighting towards the area and her sword started to be engulfed in a translucent white light. Her eyes began to flash gold.

That attack looks extremely dangerous. Even so, it's not going to be enough to take me down. I have been training and waiting for someone to come here and fight me.

"This is an attack I created after hearing about that legend. You should know the one I'm talking about since we listened to the story together as kids."

"I know exactly what you are talking about but… right now that doesn't matter because with everything you throw at me. I'm going to crush it with the strength I have."

Swiping her hand downward motions, ten dragons formed from the clouds. The dragons were made from pure purple lighting. You could hear the violent roars throughout the whole arena.

Lilith looked at her friend and giggled. "Please… don't die." She clearly knew she wasn't going to die from the attack that she was about to send toward her.

With that, lighting came crashing down from the heavens. A barrier was over the arena they were fighting in so no one else would get caught in the battles that would be fought. So, everyone could freely use their spell because they have a healing place that could even bring someone back from death. Of course, the person who created that was Sara. She had the ability to bring people back from death, so she made something with that ability for the school. With her there no one was dying.

Looking at the lighting, Lucia gripped the hilt of her sword tightly. Her rapier begins to shine brightly in a white and gold light. A barrier suddenly formed around her body and her senses increased while she was in this barrier. So, she could see over a 10-kilometer radius.

"Holy Sword Arts, Lunar Radiance."

She swung her sword toward the heavens, releasing a huge beam of light that pierced the heavens. All the lighting that was covering the area disappeared in the sky and returned to its usual azure blue.

The two stared at each other before the two of them disappeared. No one could see what was happening, but they could hear the sounds of people colliding in the air.

In the audience stands, a family sat looking at the battle that was going on. One was Shito Mahinu and he was just watching as the fighting was getting better by the second. The others were Tenka and their daughters Illayaka and Illya Mahinu.

"Wow, Aunty and that other woman sure are strong." the two little girls said, looking at the battles going on. The four of them could see everything that could go on. Even if the girls were moving at light speed everything, they could be seen by them.

Shito looked at the battles and nodded. "This is really going to be an interesting battle. I can't wait to meet her in the finals."

"Well, we might have a match sooner or later. So, we might be fighting soon."

"You are right about that. Everything is becoming really complicated but even so when we reach the finals, I would know that everything in the battle is going to be fun for me. after all, this girl still hasn't shown her full strength."

"How do you know that?" Tenka asked. "Don't tell me you are the type to go around stalking women to find out what their weaknesses are. If so, you are a creep."

"Don't ever place me in that kind of category. Do you hear me?"

"Yeah, yeah. I hear you."

Even though my power is sealed, I can only fight at five percent of my power. This is going to get really interesting. I can't wait to get this battle started.

With those thoughts, Shito looked back at the battle and continued to watch what they were doing. After all, the fight was starting to get interesting.
