Episode 14- The Jealous Stares from the Students

The two students arrived in the classroom still holding each other's hand. Needless to say, All the students were jealous that they were with each other. The girls were jealous that Tenka was holding hands with the hottest boy in the school. The boys were jealous that Shito was holding hands with the hottest girl in the school, walking beside each other made them look like a match made in heaven. This would be a topic that would spread throughout the school like wildfire, and once that happens there will be students that challenge them all the time.

But now, none of the students would dare to challenge them after seeing their fight on the first day. They knew that the two were above them and they did not want to start any problem that would harm their time at school.

The two students took their seats that were in the back of the class, ignoring the gazes they were receiving from other students.

"That boy is so lucky." a male student said, looking at them as they were walking away. He was jealous that the Vermillion princess, Tenka was taken by the new student.

A female student that was sitting beside him stared blankly, she was ignored at what the male student just said. How was he lucky when he was the hottest boy in the school, if someone were lucky then it would be Tenka, even if she was the vermillion princess.

"How exactly is he lucky?" The female student asked, frustrated by the boy's comment, "If anyone is lucky then it would be her, he is hot and strong… remember she was the one that got beat by him."

The students talked amongst each other, and they were trying to discuss who the lucky one was in their situation.

Shito and Tenka just sat in their seats, looking at the students who were arguing. There was nothing they could do to calm the situation. Unless they told the students that they were not dating each other but… would the students believe them if they said they weren't dating each other? Nobody would believe them because nobody holds the hand of a person that they are not dating unless they were brother and sister, or even mothers or fathers.

But even so, they had to do something about the situation because all the pointless fighting between them was starting to get on their nerves.

"Does it really matter what we got going on outside of school?" Shito blurted aloud, "Why are you worrying about other people's lives anyway? Even if I was dating her… it should not matter to any of you because you are not my parents or my family. My life is my life, and your life is your life. Quit butting into mine."

All the students grew silent, every single word he said was the truth, they were in a school to be mages, not to be people budding into other people's lives. Dating or not should not really matter to them.

Tenka looked at Shito, grabbing his hand tightly under the table, "Did you have to be so mean about it?" she asked, looking at the boy, whose facial expression still had not changed the whole time he had been sitting beside her.

"There is no reason to beat around the bush, there is no reason for everyone to be worrying about what me and you got going on because if I wanted to date you… I can."

Tenka's face turned completely red. Her face was redder than a tomato, she was completely embarrassed.

We might start dating in the future… but for right now I do not care about the rumor spreading for right now.

With those thoughts, Tenka looked at the front of the class, waiting for the teacher to walk in and start teaching the class.

The doors to the classroom suddenly opened, and the teacher, Tina Tobiichi walked into the classroom with her hands filled with papers.

"All right class. It's time for us to start classes," said Tina.

Tenka looked at all the papers that were in the teacher's hand and smiled, "What are we doing for class today?" she said, wondering what they could be doing for their class today.

"We are going to be hunting monsters today."

"Ok, that sounds good... I guess."

There exist all kinds of monsters in the world. There were goblins, dragons, spiders, werewolves, serpents, and even vampires. There were all kinds of monsters and some of them even had intelligence, they thought like humans and even talked like humans. There were more races that weren't humans that existed in the world. The other races were elves, demons, and even demi-humans.

Since they were going out of the way to hunt monsters, there must have been some strings attached to it.

"Is there anything we have to do on these hunts?" Shito asked, looking at the teacher who was standing in front of the class.

"You have to bring back the corpses, we, the council at the school want to see how skilled you are in real battles, with the information we gather we can see where we have to start our combat training lessons."

Tenka looked around the classroom, noticing that everyone sounded excited about the battles with the monsters.

"...Ok that sounds easy enough."

"Oh… I forgot to mention that you would be in groups of two so get ready, and head to the forest of death."

The Forest of Death was a place that housed some of the most dangerous monsters in the world. Every monster that stayed in there was strong enough to destroy cities, it does not matter how strong the monster was. It was a forest that a lot of people went into and were not able to make out.

However, they are mages so they should be able to survive the attacks of most of the monsters in the forest and if they could not handle the monsters in the forest, they were not fit to be mages it was as simple as that.

The class's face grew silent, the devastated looks that were on their face was enough to scare a person to death. They did not know why the school sent them to fight in a forest that could potentially kill them.

Looking at the teacher, a male student slammed his hand on the desk, "There is no way that the school is sending students to a forest that could potentially kill them!" he shouted at the teacher, thinking the school was gambling with their lives.

"No, no, no… we have people that are in the forest that would protect you if you were in any danger."

"Of course, they would have people protecting you, they don't want you to die but… other times, they let their students die but it showed that everyone was not qualified to be a mage. If some of you died that meant you were not qualified." Shito said, looking at the rest of the class.

Tenka looked around the class, noticing they were a little shocked by Shito's sudden outburst.

"Well, he is right there is no point in looking at him like he is crazy!"

"...All right since you are already finished talking. Grab your things and head to the forest of death!"

The students grabbed all their things and walked outside of the classroom, so they could head to the forest of death. Mage students do not carry anything on them since they don't need any books, since the schools they would go to have everything, they could need.

All the students walked out of the classroom, leaving Tenka and Shito in the classroom alone. They were just staring at each other, without saying a single word.

"Well, let's go already, we don't want to keep the other students waiting," Tenka said, reaching out to grab Shito's hand.

"...Ok."

Taking the hand of the beautiful Vermillion princess, Shito looked at her and nodded his head. Tenka smiled, gently gripping the hand of the beautiful boy, before she started walking out of the classroom.
