Episode 10- The end of her story...

On a late night in late October, two familiar figures sat on the couches in the dorms of Lemore Academy. One was Shito Mahinu, and he was listening to his daughter's story, but his eyes were closed tightly. The other was Illayaka Mahinu, and she was sitting beside her father in silence; she had just concluded her story and wanted to hear what he would say.

"So, you are a person that has reincarnated and ended up in the realm of the void?"

Illayaka nodded her head, looking over at her father, "Yeah, I did and… I died at the age of eighteen, and after all the years I have spent in the realm of the void, I can confidently say I am over the age of a hundred." she said looking over at her father who had his eyes closed.

Shito opened his eyes and looked at his daughter. He had his eyes closed because he was looking through her memories and watching the battles for himself as his daughter was narrating her own story.

Usually, he would not go around snooping in other people's memories, but he needed to do that for her case. Shito wanted to see the physical hardships she had to face as she fought her way to become one of the strongest.

Illayaka's soul was summoned from another world when she had died saving her friend, and a person who spent hundreds of years fighting to become the strongest that was a story that someone would want to see with their own eyes. But the question was–

"Okay, I get that you are over a hundred years old, but… why do you act like a child?"

Shito might have gone and started exploring her memories, but he did not go past the age of when she was eighteen because he did not want to see it but hear that part from his daughter's mouth. Nothing even mattered after that because she was his daughter in the life, she was currently in.

Illayaka was a little embarrassed hearing the question come out of her father's mouth. Frequently it was a question that she thought he would not even ask her. She knew he wasn't the type to go peeking into people's lives.

"Th-that's because… I never had a real family of my own in my past life since I was in an orphanage until I was eighteen. After becoming an adult, the orphanage lets you leave, which is what I did." Illayaka was a little nervous to give her reason to act like a child, but the boy in front of her was her father now. "I wanted to use this to my advantage and be the child I couldn't be in my past life."

He knew that she was not faking her childlike side, but after hearing that she was over the age of a hundred. He had to ask the question because one would think a person who has reincarnated would act the way they did before they did. If a grown man died, then he would naturally keep his old man's habits in his next life. When you grow, wisdom comes with it, so naturally, dropping the childish act is in a human person's nature.

"Well, you are not faking childish acts, are you? Your mother and sister would be sad if you were."

"No! I am not faking the childish acts because I have really grown to care about you all, even though we just met!" Illayaka was grateful to have a family that cared for her, so she gave it her all to be a child again.

Shito looked away from his daughter; he knew that since he had answered her questions about herself. It would only be natural for him to do the same thing. After all, she had already been in the void and explored it.

"Are you not going to ask me any questions about the void?"

Illayaka shook her head before looking at her father, "No, there is no reason for me to do that after all; you are not the void king right now… you are the father of two children."

The flaxen-haired boy smiled before looking away from Illayaka. Everything she said was the truth because, at the moment, he was not the void king; he was a parent to two lovely kids and the future husband to a beautiful woman. That itself was something better than being the void king.

Illayaka looked at her father and smiled, but there was something that she had to get off her chest, and she knew that her father was going to be the only person that could answer her questions.

"Even though I am not going to ask you about the void… I want to know why I am around the same strength as Illya even though I feel like I have grown more powerful than I was in the void."

She immediately noticed that as soon as she got summoned to the world. When she had first met Illya, she felt a strong aura coming from her, an aura that would have crushed the whole, would she have even slightly released it.

"That's because she is my daughter, isn't that obvious? Both of you are my kids, so having my blood is naturally going to put you above most people… And your mother might be weaker than some of the beings in the void, but she has the potential to be stronger than the governor dragons if that is what she wills."

Illayaka was shocked by her. The governor dragons, or the true dragon gods, ruled over countless lower and higher worlds. So, hearing that her mother could potentially become stronger than them was a shock to hear.

But what was to be expected because she was the future wife of the void king, the ruler of the void, and the man who could completely destroy the realm of the void along with the void, the void was a place within the realm of the void that instantly reduced someone to nothing. And Shito Mahinu was the strongest person ever to step foot in the void, and all beings were said to have been unable to leave except the Dragon gods, but… he left forcibly, breaking himself out. Unless you were summoned, then there was no escaping the void.

"That's good to hear! So that means I am one of the daughters of potentially two of the strongest beings in the world."

"Yeah… but we going to clear this hear and now… in this family, you are the youngest child."

Even though she already knew that Shito still wanted to make it clear. When he had changed Illayaka to a human and the twin of his first daughter, he had set her birthday to the same day as Illya's, and since she came to the family after Illya, he made Illayaka the youngest twin of the two.

"Well… I already knew that!"

Shito got up off the couch and put his daughter over his shoulder. He remembered that Tenka said not to be up all night talking. So, it was about time they went to bed. After all, Shito and Tenka had to fight in duels the next day.

Illayaka knew that it was time for the two of them to go to bed, so she did not even try to resist. It was her bedtime, and she was not going to be a disobedient child to the family she had just received.

The youngest twin yawned and her eyes started to grow heavy. "I'm getting tired now," she said, feeling that her body was getting tired. As a doll, Illayaka did not need to eat or sleep, but after becoming a human child, eating was now something that was required for her survival.

Although eating wasn't going to be needed forever. After all, her father doesn't require it so the twins would be the same someday.

"That's where I'm taking you, my child."

With those words, Shito walked into the room that Tenka and Illya were sleeping in. He placed Illayaka on the bed, putting the blanket that the other two were using over her body to keep her warm. Furthermore, he tucked them into bed before walking, turning his head toward the door.

I am going to have to do something about these bed sizes. Even though it's big enough for the three of them, eventually, they are going to ask me to sleep in the same bed as them.

Those were the thoughts of Shito as he walked out of the room. The time for him to go to sleep had arrived, and he walked to his room, closing the door behind him.

Looking around his room, he sat on his bed. His lazy habits eased up ever since he had Tenka and his daughters arrive in his life; there were things that still needed to be done.

I need to make sure the area is safe. Even though I placed a magic restriction in this dorm room that kills anyone, that is not my daughters, Tenka and my sister. I do not want anyone around my house, nor do I want anyone trying to spy on my family.

Shito started to enhance his senses, his vision became infinite, and he could see everything worldwide. His vision was infinite as long as he had mana, but he limited himself because he did not like the ability because it invaded people's privacy. That also includes his hearing; he could hear everyone that was across the world.

There was nothing in the area after he checked for someone suspicious. So, he stopped enhancing his senses and laid back on the bed.

"Sleep."

The spell—Sleep was a spell that could put anyone to sleep. It was a spell he sometimes used to force himself to sleep. In the past, he was lazy and always wanted to sleep. So, he found a spell that could force him to sleep.

The sleep spell had fully affected Shito, and he went to sleep, comfortably lying down on his bed.
