Unaware of how the rest of the folks are feeling Jon, is making his way deeper into the woods. He came upon a house in the middle of the forest, unlike the cottage he came from before, this looked bigger. From the outside, the house is posh and extravagant and has been built with white cedar wood and has grey brick decorations and small squared windows in a fairly asymmetrical pattern. Only rich people would live in this kind of luxurious house.
The building is shaped like a T with the two extensions linked by a garden path circling around half the house. There are two pavilions on the sharp turn of this garden path.
The roof is high and slanted to one side and is covered with overlapping roof tiles. A few large windows let in just enough light to the rooms and let Jon see what's inside if he is close enough. The house itself is surrounded by a prim garden, with a grass field and flower patches at the edges of the garden.
Jon made his way inside cautiously, he doesn't know why but he felt something bad about the place. His steps were cautious and he hid behind flower patches as he made his way in to cover for possible bullet fires. he is still merely equipped with a melee weapon, so it's certain death if he encountered someone with firearms.
Calming his nerves he made his way, but then he saw a pavilion to the side in the middle of the garden. And there seems to be a decorated golden chest in the middle.
'Huh? A loot chest?' Jon swiftly turned his direction and ran to the pavilion. 'A loot chest means there should be at least one firearm! Why is the gun so hard to find?'
Jon had just a step away from entering the pavilion when he heard a swishing sound to his right.
He instantly reacted and moved away, an arrow in the length of his forearm stabbed into the dirt ground just feet from him.
"W-Who?" he turned to see the person; it is a Latin American man crouching near a flower patch. He had a longbow in his hands and picked up an arrow from his feet. he didn't seem to have any quivers hold his arrows and Jon doubted his small pouch would hold any.
Jon quickly run inside the pavilion for cover as the man reloaded.
'Sh*t luck! Why has it to be a long-range weapon?' Jon cursed; just now he would have had an arrow through his legs. Having a leg wound will severely affect his mobility and that in itself is a death sentence.
'At least it hadn't been a gun' Jon calmed himself down, if it had been a gun the enemy would have fired off rapidly and injured him severely. It should not be a problem in a game, but in reality, taking one bullet is enough for him to fall down and not get up.
The chest is just a few feet away from him, and Jon is currently hiding with a pillar, moving towards the chest means exposing himself to the sight of the archer. From here, it seems to have no lock but if it did…it's not worth risking the chance to expose his body to open it.
'What should I do?' he didn't know the position of the archer, so he can't risk running away.
'Maybe I should gamble?' Jon's mood darkened, he gritted his teeth and exposed his hand. It didn't take a second before he felt pain, "AARRRghhh"
The pain is something he experienced for the first time; the arrow had gone through his palm, drilling a hole in it. He hurriedly opened a Medkit and got two bandages. He is surprised that the item is different and matched his needs each time, he didn't think much of it and pasted the bandages over it.
Within a cold sensation spread through the palm, and the pain disappeared. Even the blood had gone.
'It's truly is magical…worthy of heavenly items… oh I forgot these came from the system'
'What should I do now?' Jon felt like banging his head to find a way. Then he heard the sound of arrows once more.
He listened to a wretched cry next and then silence.
'What had happened? Who is fighting?' Jon could not stand still but he dares not to show him, with how fast the person is taken down he doubted that he can last any longer.
'Calm down, the person may not notice the chest and just leave' Jon gave himself hope but it was crushed as just then he heard rapid footsteps leading towards him.
'Again, SH*t luck! Why am I not surprised?' he readied himself to sneak attack the person, that is his lone chance.
But as soon as he got this thinking, the system blared with a warning.
[WARNING! The host is detected to have thoughts of deceiving the system; the host is warned: any action against the choice already made results in the Host's obliteration]
He didn't know what exactly the system meant by obliteration but he isn't enthusiastic to find out, more so as the choice to cure his sister is so near.
'I can't attack unless someone threatened me, right? Doesn't this mean I can kill if they tried to attack me?' Jon got clear-headed in the moment of pressure and formulated a plan. When the enemy attacks he would dodge else try to not get injured as much as possible, and then attack with all he got to kill.
' That way I will still have a chance.'
But Jon showed no sign of joy, for the plan is easier said than done.
As the footsteps grow closer, his heartbeat started to speed up like a racing horse.
He heard the footsteps come closer and closer until the person entered his sight. It is a woman, but he didn't note down other details ready to dodge her assault.
But who would have guessed the person didn't see him at all and rushed straight to the chest box? The lass didn't even bother to check for any threats and began rampaging through the chest.
'Hey, Hey! I'm still here, have you no fear I will stab you in the back!!!' Jon wanted to shout. And this isn't impossible as the woman seems to be too focused on the contents of the chest, that she left her back unguarded. Her ass is even shaking as she rampaged through, making Jon feel a different sort of energy. 'Wait, I got only my boxers when I arrived, then what about females?' Jon got a million dollars question.
His mind already started imagining females merely in their underwear, but he shook his head. 'What am I even thinking… let's focus on the reality?'
'Okay, what to do? What to do? Right. Let's go with the first plan…I can just alert her to my presence and when she attacks I will dodge and kill her' Jon formed this plan and grumbled loudly, but this had no reaction on the lady. He grumbled even more loudly but that accomplished nothing as well.
"BT*ch why are you ignoring me? Did you think I will not attack you cuz you are a girl? or did you think I'm too weak to enter your eyes?!" Jon shouted and the woman went still.
'That's right; I am a genius, now you had to attack me right? He.he.he' Jon praised himself waiting for her to turn and attack but it didn't happen. She didn't turn let alone attack; at first, he believed she wanted him to come closer to have a sure-fire. She didn't carry any guns, so he assumed she should be using a melee weapon. But even after a long time she didn't move, making him puzzled. He cautiously neared her, ready to dodge, and pulled her shoulders back lightly.
She easily turned but her face is pale and she fell into his arms defenseless grabbing onto his arms weakly. Their posture was not like an enemy but a close couple, lovingly holding each other. He saw her close her eyes, and her face paler.
"Nani?!" Jon cried out.
