Talon studies the fog. "I don't see it." He furrows his brow in frustration as he ponders. For a split second as he blinks, he sees a flash of green shapes.

He quickly realizes he sees the objects when he closes his eyes, when he does it's as if he's using echolocation as he sees the rough shape of an object by fuzzy green lines.

"Wait, I can sense him!" Talon thinks to himself as he turns towards a green silhouette of Silver.

"How is he able to discern where my attacks are coming from?" Silver wonders as he peers through the fog towards Talon. "No matter, if I attack fast enough, he'll eventually go down." Silver's frown quickly turns into an evil grin, as he prepares to launch a flurry of strikes.

"I was hoping to rip apart that beautiful face of yours anyways!" Silver jumps at Talon with a gruesome gleam in his eye.

Talon's blade carves through the wind with ease, as a green trail follows it.

"When was the last time I felt like this?" Silver's thoughts echo in an empty void. "Fighting to survive, with the rush of adrenaline in my veins."

As the fog around Silver dissipates, the slit in his cheek becomes noticeable from the gushing blood. "Ha ha." He stumbles back covering his face with his claws. "Ha ha ha ha!" He begins to laugh uncontrollably.

An icy mist forms the shape of a hare over Silver, as he begins to breathe heavily.

"I remember now, it was when I was still a kid, scrounging on the streets for food." A young boy with short white hair makes a run for it after snatching some bread from a bakery. "Thoses nights I spent shivering in the cold alley ways." The young Silver sits curled up besides some empty crates, in a dark and dank alley.

"And that man … at the moment the sight of him gave me nothing but fear." A drunk man stumbles into the alley, mumbling something to himself.

"Everything got worse when he saw me." The shaggy beard man looks ominously at the young Silver.

"You're the rat that stole from me earlier!" The man yanks Silver up as he squeezes his wrist as he yells.

"I thought it was all over, but then …" Silver looks away from the man, noticing a jagged shard of glass. Snatching the glass shard, Silver thrusts it into the man's neck. Blood spurts everywhere as the man falls back limp.

Silver stands over the body breathing heavily. "I found my life." the young Silver smiles.

"What is that thigh behind him?" Talon thinks to himself as a thick fog obscures his vision. The frost begins to solidify and ice starts growing on Talon's foot. "This didn't work before, it won't work again." He quickly breaks the ice with his dagger, and waits for Silver to make a move.

Talon closes his eyes, he sees numerous large green spots, surrounding him. "What's going on?" He opens his eyes again to see large chunks of ice floating in the fog. "How are you doing this!?"

Silver chokes on his blood, Talon turns towards that direction. Silver's blood seeps within the cracks of the cobblestone road, entering Talon's vision.

"I can feel the wind. The flow." Closing his eyes Talon sees a concentrated green line where the blood is. "I can hear his breathing." Talon stares off into the fog.

The blood vessels in Silver's eyes swell, he looks to be fearful. His emotion quickly changes to anger as he sees Talon turn towards him.

Silver conjures an ice spike, hurling it at Talon. The spike is shattered as Silver spits up a gruesome amount of blood. As his eyes glaze over and the icy hair dissipates, he falls over with one last laugh.

The fog disappears, and Talon looks up towards the clear and beautiful night sky. "I killed one of the nine." He seems ecstatic, but as the adrenaline wears off, the wounds he sustained keep him from moving too much.

"Hey! Talon, I brought reinforcements!" Talon's attention is grasped by Benit running towards him, along with Skull and Aqua.

"It's fine, he's dead." Talon scoffs, avoiding a laugh, as he holds onto his side.

"You seriously killed that freakish man!?" They stop as Benit notices the body, Aqua looks to Skull confused.

"Do you know what this means now?" Talon takes a deep breath in, and talks in a courageous and invigorating manner.

"There's a good chance we'll all die?" Benit quickly answers in a dead tone.

"What? No, well yes, but not what I was going to say." Talon regains his composure. "We are now official enemies of the nine. So there's no way they'll let us sit on our asses any more!" Talon looks towards Aqua and Skull.

"There's no turning back now!" Aqua is pumped. Skull mumbles something about dying to himself.

"Alright, I'm exhausted. Let's go back to the base and figure out our preparations." Talon walks over to Benit and leans on him.

"By the way, where'd you get that mask?" Benit helps Talon as they walk away from the scene.
