Bonfire

A crowd with a range of races from beast people to normal humans to demons stands in the steadily rising in speed snow in front of a podium in the lit park found in the city's center whispering about something.

I know you got expelled earlier today, but I also know that you wouldn't give that much of a damn. So where the hell are you? Duaze thinks looking at the empty podium, tapping his foot after putting his phone back into his pocket.

"It's been over HALF AN HOUR! Where is he!?" A demon yells

"Calm down mate, he's still just teen. He might be having a cold sweat right now." An elk beast man says in a stoner calm voice.

They're getting mad! We're gonna lose Followers! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU! Duaze's thought is interrupted as his phone seemingly answers him by his phone vibrating in his pocket "Must be him!" he whispers

"PLAN B!" Zylax screams into his phone tiredly

"WHAT! What's happening?"

"GETTING HUNTED AND ATTACKED RIGHT NOW!" He screams over the explosion. "Found You! Ya slippery Bastad!" A rough female voice yells vengefully follow by the sound of something swinging through the empty air

Dauze sighs as he looks at the stage tiredly Do I Haaaave tooo.

"Just fucking speak! You know it by now!" Zylax yells with a stressful laugh following, as the sound of metal cutting through stone is heard in the background.

"KEEP RUNNING! I'LL FIND YOU!" The female declares as she breaks through the last wall that separated her from her target, and with one swing she hits flesh.

Duaze reacts immediately by asking "YO! YOU good!? TELL ME WHERE-" as he prepares to run he's interrupted

Meanstwhile

People stand around a large stone square shaped fire pit where lanterns stand tall on every corner to support the wall of Black Lilies, cheering: "LIBRAIRE! LIBRAIRE!". Until a human woman guides a man whose skin resembles rich honey downwards towards the pit.

Once they got there the woman opens her arms before sighing and dropping them them slowly. "We'd like to thank everyone for coming. Vict-" she chuckles "Apologies, Libraire has protected those of us that share Solasia and has actively helped us bring this community to the greatness!" The woman inhales deeply before her face comes up almost brighter than when she began. "SO PLEASE GIVE HIM ANOTHER CHEER! LIBREAIRE!" She excites, shooting her left arm towards the gray sky

Libraire steps up to the mic blushing and chuckling "That's my wife for you, one of my biggest fan girls, almost in a tie with my daughter." A few short laughs are found in the audience as he takes a short pause , looking onto the crowd seeing very few non-humans in it who're dressed in business' formal wear. I thought he said it was my choice- He chuckles mentally - but right now it's looking more like I have no choice. It's been over two weeks since I've seen you in our home. You know how to use a fathers emotions against him. I don't know how you learned, but you definitely know. these thoughts echo as his own voice rings in.

Two Weeks Ago

The smell of wine and savory dinners are in the air of "Yoyimana's Cross Cafe" with the light's hue being reminiscent to that of a candle's light, as small talk and occasional laughter can be heard. Two men sit by a window that goes up to the first floor playing a slow yet intense game of chess. "You know, even though I live above this place I never really came down here." Libraire moves a white knight chess piece and sighs as he lets go "You sure you want to do your speech on the same day as my coronation? Shade might hate you for it." but his opponent continues eyeing the board hungrily.

"Yea she might. But I want to give you a choice, to make things right and be hated, or for our lives to remain in this current predicament . Apart from that there's a chanc- scratch that, we both know if there are any minorities that don't look like they're in the low majority-" Zylax sighs and moves his black bishop back by 1 diagonal space to the left "-We'd have too much violence."

Libraire moves his Queen to threaten an imposing knight and put Zylax in check "That was a lie that you almost paid for. But you did have some truth in it, no one will hurt anyone During the event, but after is a different case. Your peaceful tactics with others have a low chance of winning people but to you, that's better than playing like your enemy. You know sometimes fire against fire works, sure there's more fire for a bit, but when there's no more oxygen to be consumed they'll both die down" Libraire says taking the bishop with his knight then stretching.

" "Low chance" " A severe understatement. "I always wondered why black and white seem to be in this war." Zylax says, sipping on his tea.

"At first I thought it was for land, but these plots of land don't look very stress free for either of them. So after thinking about what you do after a match and at the start it became kinda clear, it's a revolution with black being the old rule and white being the new rule. The fight continues no matter what, no matter how it's fought or won. Bishops preach for both sides with knights killing in the name of their beliefs.-"

Zylax takes the Queen with a bishop which is a victory short-lived as a rook takes it the very next turn. "- Rooks getting info with civilians being the pawns. In my life on this chess board I only have King, Queen, a bishop and a gaining number of pawns, my opponents have all the pieces in the game but by the hundreds. I have one offense and a willing to fight support, they have more than me but they may lose more by killing me." Zylax states as he moves his king

"But I rather enjoy living, so fighting with fire is something of a final march." His words emit from a contempt smile. But even then, would struggling like this be worth it? Even if I were to bring peace chaos will form another way in another day... And I may not be able to stop it. I know it's human nature, but what if I were too... No
