Chapter 5: Nine-tails Fox
Lifen took out her dagger from its sheath and placed herself behind the plain-looking girl. The girl looked at the long black dagger and panicked. She instantly undid her illusion and her true appearance was revealed.
Long snow-white hair that reached her hips, two fox ears with nine tails, the same color as her hair, and fox-like eyes that were as blue as the ocean. The tails were moving as if they were alive and looked super soft.
The plain white robes that she was wearing could barely hold her massive breasts and her cleavage was fully visible. The fox girl's body had curves in all the right places and was made to tempt and seduce men.
I had read about her and knew she would be beautiful and sexy but seeing her in front of me like this, even I did not expect this level of a bombshell. But this really got me excited to meet the real heroines.
I order Lifen to cut her ropes and stand outside the door.
"But-"
"I will not repeat myself"
She did not want to leave me alone with this beast but still did what I asked of her.
"Please have a seat", I say with a smile.
She hesitates for a few seconds and then sits on the chair.
"My name is Yang Lei and I am the successor to the Shadow Demon Sect. What is your name?"
"I've had no name for some time now", she replied with her melodious voice in a grumpy tone.
"So what do I call you?"
"Just call me Nine-tails"
"Nine-tails, you must be wondering why I saved you right?"
"Yes"
"To be honest, I had no idea what I was saving from tho-"
"Your lying", she interrupted me.
Well, I already knew she would be able to tell since she can smell lies according to the novel but I still wanted to try.
"OK, I'll give it to you straight then. I know how to heal you".
Her eyes opened wide with shock.
"Am I lying now?"
She gives me no reply and just stares at me.
"Let's make a contract", I say breaking the silence.
A frown appears on the fox's face.
"Quit making a scary face and listen to the conditions first. We will make an equal contract that will benefit both of us"
There were two kinds of contracts that a person could make with a spirit beast.
One was the Complete submission contract, which was like a slave contract, and the other was an Equal Contract. The basic conditions for the equal contract were that the beast could not hurt the contractor and needed to stay with him for the duration of the contract. The same conditions were true for the contractor. Additional conditions could be added with the agreement of both parties.
The frown on her face disappears.
"Until you are completely healed, I'll give you protection, a place to live and no one will bother you here no matter what you do. Everyone will treat you as an important guest of mine".
"What do you want in return?", she asks with a neutral face.
"After you are healed, it will probably take 3 to 4 months till you recover your whole cultivation. So until you recover, you just have to teach me your illusion techniques and protect me till I am able to somewhat use those techniques."
"What happens when the contract is over?"
"We go our separate ways or if you want, we can continue the contract. So what do you say?"
'There is no disadvantage and everything is in her favor, of course, she is going to accept it', I think to myself.
"I don't want to make a contract with you"
"Huh, what did you just say?", I ask her with confusion on my face.
"I can smell it, you are not a good person. Your body reeks of evil energy"
"That should not matter to you, I am giving you help so just take it".
"I don't need help from a person like you".
I was quite good at controlling my anger in my previous life. There was no time when I lost myself in anger and let it control my actions. I was a very patient and understanding person but something was wrong with me right now.
I was angry
I was fuming
I was so angry that I wanted to smash her head on the ground and keep hitting it till it turned into mush. It was really difficult to control myself from killing her since I never had these kinds of thoughts before in my life but I held back somehow.
'So this was the reason Lei Yang was considered to have a bad temper in the novel'
This rise in anger is probably because of my cultivation method. When practicing demonic cultivation, people often lost control of their emotions until they reach higher realms.
'I need to do something about this anger problem'
I look at Nine-tails with my blood-red eyes and say in a demonic voice,
"You better think about this very carefully, you'll regret it"
She kept her composure and started speaking,
"I know you can't kill me since you need me for my techniques. I am in no hurry to heal myself but you on the other hand are clearly impatient. I can smell it", she says with a little smirk.
I get up from the bed and go near her. She looks me in the eyes and starts speaking,
"Now here are my conditions little boy, heal me with whatever method you have and I'll give you some of my low-level illusion techniques. And about the bodyguard business, find someone else. I don't want to be near filth like you"
That was it, something snapped in my head.
I grab her by the throat and lift her.
As my fingers closed around her throat, a strangled gasp escaped her lips.
"Congratulation, you chose the hard way yet again", I say in a deep voice.
"Torture me all you like, I don't give a fuck", she says struggling to breathe.
"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. But you will definitely help me. Whether it is with a sane mind or without one"
"Lifen!", I shout
Lifen quickly enters my room, "Yes My Lord".
I throw her towards Lifen and say,
"Tie her up and wait for me outside"
She ties her up and goes outside.
"System, how do I make the crystal meth"

[1 reversal point will give you 2 crystals]
"Use 10 reversal points"

After a while, I open the door and hand Lifen a scroll and two pouches.
"Take the Alchemist to the dungeon and tell her to follow everything written on this scroll. You stay with the fox and make sure she doesn't hurt herself".
I give Nine-tails a final glance and go back inside my room.
