Wedding day (pt. 2)

The ceremony officially started and now, it is they time for the vows.

Mae ignored the chills in her spine every single time she glanced at her groom.

'I've never imagined meeting him in this way. Thank heavens for His wondrous ways,' she thought.

"Do you take Mr. John as your husband?"

Mae smiled, a rare one, " I do."

"Do you take Ms. Mae as your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," John politely smiled as he glanced at her.

"You may now deliver your promises and vows towards each other," the priest said.

"Marriage bridges two shores, binding us together as one unbroken path, on which I vow never to deviate, never to falter, and to always be by your side. Take this ring as a sign of my loyalty and care," John said.

"I vow to cherish you and to make you happy in any way possible to the best of my abilities. I will engrave all the promises between us in my heart. I give you this ring as a sign of my faith, loyalty and heart," she said.

The two faced the priest as he said, "By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, man and wife. You may kiss your bride."

Even when knowing that this part is a tradition, Mae and John couldn't help but feel awkward.

John slowly lowered his face and gave her a peck in the side of her lips.

The guests then clapped as they face them. While walking, Mae was thinking.

'He with no doubt is J yet he makes me feel like he is someone i don't know.'
