[TAMIKO]
Kosta's words rang in Tamiko's head as he watched his father hopelessly lying on the mat in the tent. He looked sick, like this was the man's last straw at whatever was left of his life, and Tamiko felt his heart shatter for his father.
The young prince could tell that the mad king had only come so he could make sure that Tamiko was okay and for a moment Tamiko wondered why his father was so adamant about it all.
He understood that the Kawai people needed their King, and they had waited for long years for him. Any king would always choose his people without so much as a second thought.
But just like Kosta had said, the mad king, was a father.
He was the father who had so many things to make up for. He was the father who wanted to tell his son that he didn't need to fight anymore. He was the father who had done whatever he could to spend time with his son.
