Chapter 55 I hate exams, but this one is good.

It's now time for the practical exams. Everyone thinks it's going to be a fight against robots but I know what it's actually going to be.

Principal Nezu- "You students will be pairing up with one of the teachers here!"

Everyone became devastated at that news. They've been preparing for a fight against robots but now it's different. Apparently, all the villain activity made the teachers realise that the students need a more realistic exam, so they came up with this.

Arata- "Well, calm down. There's no way they'll just let us fight them as it is."

Aizawa- "Arata is correct. All the teachers will have a handicap."

Nezu- "Your objective is to either get these handcuffs on us or escape through the exit."

And so they went on to explain the rules of the fight, and explain that all the teachers will be wearing a pair of ultra compressed weights. Except…

Aizawa- "Todoroki, Yaoyoruzu, and Arata will be fighting against me. However, since it's a three on one, I won't have a handicap."

I also think it's because I'm OP as fuck but I don't say anything.

We all separate into our respective groups and I end up with Shoto and Momo, before getting led by Aizawa-sensei to our exam area.

Announcement- "Todoroki, Yaoyoruzu, Daishin team, start."

(A/N: just in case you forgot, Daishin is MC's last name. I barely use it cos his last name is something sensitive for him so he lets people call him by his first name.)

Shoto- "Yaoyoruzu, keep making something small and easy, tell us when you stop. Once he's in sight, Ill lure him away, you run to the escape gate."

Momo- "…"

Momo just answered with a silent nod. She looks like she wants to say something, but I don't say anything. Not yet.

And so, we start running to the escape gate. I look at Momo to find her constantly spitting out matryoshka dolls with her quirk. Of course, since I saw the original series, I know those aren't normal dolls.

I scan them with both [Observation] and my suit through the neuro linker.

[Flashbang Matryoshka Dolls

Matryoshka dolls that have a flashbang hidden inside. The flashbangs have improved attributes.]

That's the watered-down version of what [Observation] gave me. The scan from my suit told me why [Observation] told me the flashbangs were improved. She upgraded it using my tech. Specifically, it's got traces of things I used in the flashbangs I gave to Fumikage. Fumikage's flashbangs have more of a flash than a bang, and the flash lasts a lot longer than normal.

Momo doesn't need the improved flash duration, but the flashbang itself has very useful tech. She must've gotten it from the bracelet supercomputer I gave her. It's constantly accessing the Stark database and updating itself, after all.

Momo- "… I'm not surprised, Todoroki…"

Shoto- "About what?"

Momo- "That you could immediately create a strategy against Aizawa-sensei."

Shoto- "It's nothing special."

Momo- "Nothing special…?"

Arata- "Uhm, Yaoyoruzu, your dolls…"

I notified her that her quirk stopped working.

Shoto- "He's here!"

Aizawa- "Good reaction time."

Aizawa-sensei was hanging above us from some power lines before he dropped down and immediately tried to capture Shoto. I pull him back just in time, however. But, as if expecting that, he throws his capturing weapon at us, attempting to catch us both.

Momo seems to be caught in a dilemma. We're about to be captured and she was told to run away. But she can't just run, she's not that type of girl. Even in canon, she eventually returned to free Shoto. Granted, it was said that she only did so because, at the time, she had no confidence in herself, but I think her own feelings played a role in her decision.

So, as Aizawa-sensei's capturing weapon was wrapping around us, I turn to look at her. My helmet was in the way but with [Sixth Sense] my intentions were made loud and clear.

'Do what you feel is right. I trust you.'

Her hesitation became greatly reduced as she met my gaze and without even thinking, she threw out her matryoshka dolls.

Momo- "Close your eyes!"

*SHOOM!*

A blinding flash came from the dolls. Because they were specifically made to have reduced sound, our senses weren't disoriented. However, they did their job.

Shoto got his quirk back and immediately used his fire. The gauntlets I made quickly absorbed the fire and burned through the capturing weapon that wrapped around him in under half a second.

Arata- "Let's go!"

And we immediately runoff between the houses to hide.

Aizawa-sensei, who is quickly recovering from his blindness, didn't see which direction we went, and went back to his position next to the escape gate.

Shoto- "That was close…"

Arata- "… Yaoyoruzu, do you have an idea?"

Momo- "Eh?"

Arata- "You look like you want to say something."

Shoto looks at Momo with a curious look. He didn't notice. Well, not that I blame him, he was brought up to only think about himself after all.

Momo- "N-no, if Shoto's idea didn't work then-

Arata- "Then that's even more of a reason to speak up. We need a plan, we can't win this by running around blindly."

Momo- "But…"

Hmm… it seems her quick defeat during the sports festival hit her a lot harder than I thought. Looks like I have to pull out my trump card.

Arata- "During the class president elections, you got 3 votes, right? One of them was mine."

Shoto- "And the other was mine."

Arata- "We voted because we thought you'd be good at stuff like this. So, go ahead. Use us."

She was really touched. Then she explained her plan. It's pretty much the same as the one in canon, lure Aizawa-sensei into attacking us, trap him in Momo's altered capturing weapon.

Which is what we did. But, one thing she forgot to account for…

Arata- "Close, but…"

He has a fucking cybernetic arm. Breaking out is something easy. If not with super strength the arm gives, then with the shurikens that can get dispensed.

However…

*Sparks*

His arm malfunctioned. Or specifically, disabled. Being a veteran pro hero, he looked at his arm, then at me, and immediately knew what happened.

He sighed before giving up. And just like that, we passed the exam.

Announcement- "Todoroki, Yaoyoruzu, Daishin team have passed the exam."

Easy peasy.

I turn around to catch Momo looking at me with a thankful look. She immediately averts her eyes though. Weird.

A/N: Chapter is done! We finished the final exams!

MC: I could have soloed it though.

Aizawa: Im sure, you could just take control of my arm like you did and just defeat me using that.

MC: About that, you dont have to worry. The arm has a seperate self-evolving program running that I can't touch. Since I hacked into it once, it will notice that getting hacked is very bad and will automatically improve it's firewalls.

Aizawa: Not even you?

MC: Will if I try my absolute best, I can. I'm a genius after all.

AN: Yes yes, we all know you're a genius. We don't need a reminder.
