“Who?” I snapped viciously.
Crawling testily toward me, where he stood outside my bedroom, Daddy lifted up his finger to pinch me, but I had had enough.
“No, Daddy. I’ve had enough,” I said combatively, reaching out to grab his arm and stop him. “I’m done with being told how to live and what to do! Do you realize how old I am?”
Nostrils flaring, Daddy could barely be restrained. But my grip was far too strong for him.
“Have you been seeing those psychics again?” Daddy uttered quietly, just barely audible enough for me to hear him.
“What? No! Who told you about that?!” I shouted. Perhaps loud enough for Daddy to hear, but it didn’t matter to me.
“You did when it first happened.”
