Chapter 27

As Scarlet's hand reached for the door to the principal's office, she looked at the security guard who now stood behind her and she thought back on what he said about a student missing and how it somewhat had something to do with her.

Turning her hand back, she placed two knocks on the door and pushed it open before stepping in. The first thing her eyes fell on are the two men dressed in black with their backs turned as they spoke to Mrs. Wells, one which she recognized as the police uniform and the other was just a plain shirt. Moving her eyes from them, she looked at Mrs. Wells and at the side, she was surprised to see Johan standing there. He looked at her just in time and at the same time, she heard Mrs Wells say;

"Oh! Ms. Winters is here. Please come."

Scarlet took in a deep breath as she walked forward and she could see the two men slightly turn their heads to the side, wanting to see her...their suspect, maybe.
