Memories from the past remind me, from the moment I was crowned as the youngest Princess of the Phoenix Clan. My father, my wicked stepmother and a man whom I adored since I was young.
Unusually moving my head, makes my sweat flow into my face. Cold and frigid as I narrow my eyes forcibly.
"No!"
"You shall not perish in my arms! You... will survive!"
Shouting and clamouring is the next thing I do. However, every little thing around me begins to fade away and disappear from my sight.
"Nooooo!"
I scream horribly when someone vanishes instantly. She's gone that forces me to wake up while chasing for my breath.
Little did I know, Drake is sleeping next to me. He's topless that makes me gulp and sniff. "Too cold for you to be topless," I murmur and put the quilt on him.
Drake's long hair matches perfectly to the shape of his face. His cheeks and jawline conform together as a result of good and beautiful features. "You are still handsome even you're sleeping!" I clamour silently, making it sure not to awaken him.
I take a deep breath when I catch a glimpse of his crimson lips. I want to disappear because of the thought of kissing him while he's asleep.
"You can do it, Thalia! Kiss him before you leave his grandiose house!"
My inner core urges me to kiss the man who's sleeping next to me. He looks like a demi-God who accidentally landed and crashed to the Kingdom of Vampires. "Forgive me, Mister but I need to steal a kiss from you."
Before accomplishing my intention, I look around and realize that darkness plagued the sky. The surroundings turned grey and dark as vampires will saunter around the woods.
"Til' we met again, Drake."
I murmur and quickly kisses him. It takes a few seconds for me to stop but, I need to before he wakes up.
"Farewell to you, young man. But, I need to leave you now before Jack finds us together. I need to protect you, that's why I'm choosing to leave this place for the meantime."
Without wasting enough time, I search around to find my old clothes. However, I can't find it inside of his wide room.
Slowly and surely, I crawl towards the edge and walk barefoot. From afar, I see my clothes hanging and tailored by someone.
"It must be him who stitched my rugged clothes," I murmur while walking towards it.
Silently, I wear it and put the white, beautiful dress to the cupboard. However, before I leave the man who's sleeping peacefully. I stare at him from distant. I... I can't bear to see the sadness in his eyes that's why I'm choosing to go back to the Vampire King's palace without his knowledge.
"Farewell to you, Drake," I whispers.
The sky becomes dark and gloomy, a symbol of the golden time for all of us.
Until a loud noise sounds outside of the room. "Werewolves! It must be them!" I quickly walk towards the door and opens it without turning back.
I need to swallow my pride before Jack sees me with another man. "I need to get into the palace without anyone suspecting me! I need to be careful now."
As I close the door, I bite my lips not to make a noise. I gulp repeatedly until I am ready to leave the beautiful and classic castle of Drake.
"Sleep tight. As soon as you wake up, you will only see a white quilt beside you."
Laughing bitterly makes me feel like I'm not Thalia who was once a King's daughter. Thus, I need to get rid of the thought of him and face the reality that I will be marrying a man who has everything he wanted.
I breaths heavily as I close my eyes before taking steps to the palace. The moon is shining brightly that urges me to snarl and to show my fangs.
Along the way back, I notice that the stairway down to the wilderness is surrounded by elongated flowers. The hedges are made up of old stones and rocks as it seems to be tough and indestructible.
"Why is it there's no one here except me?"
I murmured while watching the King's palace from the place where I'm standing at. However, there's one thing that catches my attention.
Clones of a deer and a man with a white long beard are used as a decoration. "What is happening in the palace? They seem like having a celebration again!"
"Mortals usually celebrates the month of giving as they called it 'Christmas Season'."
"Who are you?"
I turn my back upon hearing someone's voice from behind. My heart beats too fast upon thinking of werewolves. He walks beside me and stands firmly. "You don't have to know my name, young woman. But, the Vampire King is searching for you since last night."
I discreetly gulp and reply, "I need to treat my wounds by myself."
The old man nods as he looks into my eyes. "You shall see the King, Thalia. He's throwing everything in his room and no one have successfully convinced him to be calm."
"Ho–how did you know all of this?! You are here in Drake's castle yet, you know what's happening in the King's palace?"
He takes a deep breath as he looks away from my gaze. He gives me an abrupt smile that makes me smile too. "Do not tell anyone that Drake helped you. Keep it as our secret, Thalia. Can I trust you?"
Despite the doubt and hesitation, I nod my head as an agreement. Smiling at him shortly will assure you that I will keep my promises. "I will, old man. However, you forget about your name! Would you mind if I ask you?"
I think of a sarcastic reply yet, the old man burst into a laughter that propels me to narrow my eyes on him.
"Why are you laughing on me, old man?"
"Because you suddenly have a temporary memory loss! Drake tells me that you almost forget your memories. He tells me that you seem to be another woman who only manipulates Thalia's body!"
He didn't stop laughing but I abruptly hold my breath while listening to him. I didn't know that he notices it too.
"I need to go back now, old man. Til' we met again!"
"Drake will always find you! You have nowhere to hide, Thalia!" He gives me a warning but I need to start moving.
I leave the man, the castle and Drake alone.
However, while walking too fast, a cold decent crystal falls into my arm. For a moment, I stop from taking another step as it becomes like rain that pouring down to the ground.
"Snow?! It is indeed snow!"
I clamour upon seeing again the snow with my naked eyes. It's been a long time since I touched it.
"Thalia,"
"Can't you see, it's snowing!" I said while smiling widely. I swirl like a wind until I realize the man who stood before me.
His eyes were cold while staring on me. He said, "Where have you been, my soon-to-be wife?"
Upon hearing his deep voice, I am stuck in the ground where I'm standing at. Trembling in fear and thinking for an alibi.
