"Who is she?" I ask him shortly, referring to the woman who just walks out of my room.
"Is she your mother?"
Jack shook his head trying to avoid my questions. He's quietly looking at my lips while caressing my hair with his warm hand.
"She left me for her selfish decisions! She left because she is a mortal who can't live eternally like us!"
"You can not change the truth, Jack! That woman is your mother– the one who gave birth to you thousands of years ago!" I told him, raising my voice to prove that he should see her as her mother... still.
The Vampire King rubs his head and looks into the windows. I can only see his broad shoulders as it is hard to stand.
He slightly unlocks it through his ability. The sky is too clear, and a howling wind embraces my weak body. "Your Highness...," I called him weakly, trying to be brave to tell him the truth.
