8: Training.

After the four of them got acquainted with each other, they all left the scene of blood together and arrived at the back of the shed where they had met with John.

Sina couldn't keep his eyes off Ketevan throughout their journey out of the forest and neither could the hunter. This caused a very unusual and uncomfortable silence between all of them.

" Hey, Sina was it? Have you ever been in a situation where you want to kill your enemy as quickly as possible but they end up proving too stubborn?" Ketevan asked, turning towards Sina as soon as they arrived at their destination.

" I can't say for sure, not that I've faced any stubborn enemies in my lifetime," Sina replied, stopping in his tracks as well.

Ketevan giggled slightly as usual vampires to look like." Ketevan thought, looking down at him.

Sina was left completely paralyzed on the ground and was only able to stand up after about thirty minutes, a feat quite surprising for Master Ketevan.

" There now, do you understand what I meant by my words a while ago?" He asked with a chicky, mischievous smile on his face.

" You never told me we would be going into practicals and I never asked you to teach me anything," Sina complained, rubbing the aching back of his neck with his right hand.

Ketevan reached out towards him and slowly placed his hand on his shoulder before saying, "Certain parts of one's body are vital to their best physical state and are simply the deciding factor when it comes to battles."

" How about we both have a little spar?" He asked, stepping away a bit from the young man.

Sina didn't see it as much and was simply bent on bailing out as soon as he felt like he was being pushed too hard. There was nothing for him to lose anyway and what could a middle-aged man possibly do to him?

Before he could even realise it, the hunter charged straight towards him and threw a punch straight towards his face.

He tried to block the attack with his hand but as soon as he did so, Ketevan opened his palm and grabbed a hold of it.

He was left in total shock at what had just happened and before he could do anything else, he was pulled in closer and lifted by the shoulder, before being slammed straight to the ground.

A muffled grunt escaped his mouth as he hit hard against the ground and an excruciating pain soared throughout his entire body.

" Your method of fighting is quite... Interesting." He said, offering Sina a hand, "Focusing on your opponent's body movements entirely sure can have its downsides."

Sina was left in total shock and pain and shock as he stared intently at the man's face, his personality and overall facial expressions didn't match in any way.

" The throws are as important as all the rest but it's a well-measured combination of all that puts you ahead of your opponent." He said, grabbing a hold of his Sina's right hand, "The hooks, grapples, pulls and lifts all work hand in hand and knowing when to use your fists is proof of your experience."

He then let go of Sina's hand who then proceeded to place his eyes on it as he said, " grapples and pulls, one comes after the other and how you lift depends on the posture, size and shape of your opponent while the initial grapple is the major factor?"

A smile crept up Ketevan's face and he began to clap his hands along with the two boys who had been standing by the side watching them the entire time.

" That's very impressive of you. Your ignorance and acceptance surely exceeded my expectations." He said, leaving a confused look on everyone else's faces, " You knew all along and yet you still chose to ignore it, at least it puts less of a burden on me."

" This man, there's nothing about him tolerable for me. Simply annoying in every possible manner." Sina thought, a slight frown slowly appearing on his face.

Their training continued for the day and they returned home with him covered in bruises, his clothes weren't spared either.

After he was done with his bath and had a nice change of clothes, he was left sitting by the tree in front of the house as he contemplated what the boy had told him earlier that morning.

" I apologize for all the trouble I caused you."

He heard a familiar feminine voice come from the side and instantly turned to his right to the striking allure of beauty standing there with her face down.

She slowly looked up at him with her usual bright gaze now slightly dulled and said, " I said I'm sorry for what I did to you yesterday... It's your choice to forgive me but..."

" Sure... I understand." Sina cut her short.

" If it's that then I hope you don't mind my company." She said slowly walking towards him.

When she came close to the tree, she walked around it and sat on the other side, opposite him.

They both sat there in silence for a while before she finally decided to break the silence.

" How was your life after you dropped out of the university?"

That question was quite unexpected for Sina and one he didn't want to answer, a moment of silence followed as he constantly rubbed his lips against each other in an attempt to come up with an excuse.

" It's something I don't like talking about." He finally blurted out.

" Oh, sorry for asking." She apologised, which was followed by another long and awkward moment of silence which she broke once again.

" The night when you saved me, yesterday to be exact. I woke up to find myself inside the forest at some point and I saw a human-shaped beast with bright red eyes, it..." She paused for a moment as she slowly reached towards her neck, " I don't know for sure what it did to me but I was hoping that you may have managed to see it."

" The only thing I saw was a dark wolf, sorry for not being able to help you." He said, turning his gaze to the ground.

She slowly got up and said, " I don't know for sure if I was hallucinating but it's best for him to be careful. My brother, Luke, is quite fond of wandering around close parts of the forest at night, you seem to have a closer grip on him than everyone else, so please watch over him."

" Sure..." Sina assured her before she slowly walked back into the house.

Later that night, immediately after their dinner, he was walking around the house when he ran into an area that he was yet to be acquainted with.

It was the library in the house and a very big one at that. He slowly walked into the room to see Luke's elder sister face down on a desk with many books scattered around her.

He slowly walked towards them after one of them puked his interest and after going through all of them, he realised that they all had one disturbing factor in common.

The fact that they were all about mythological blood-sucking creatures known as vampires. Some of their believed characteristics matched him quite well.

" Why would she want to know so much about creatures that don't even ex..." Right before he could finish his sentence he managed to catch a glimpse of something on her.

His sight was quite keen compared to the average person's and it was the only reason why he was able to see the faint bite mark that was on her neck.
