5: Memories Unknown.

He was instantly caught in a momentary trance as he stared at the screen in front of him. Was it a divination, or another curse which the Witch Master had inflicted on him? It could even be Sava.

Each time he tried to put his mind away from it for the slightest amount of time, another memory trigger would pop up and his anger for the both of them only increased more.

" Alvarez, Alvarez."

He heard the sound of his name getting called a few times and it was enough to snap him out of his daze. He looked to his right to see the boy standing there, staring at him with a rather confused look on his face.

" Sorry there, I was lost in thought for a moment." He apologized, trying to put a smile on his face once again.

Now that he was up on his feet, the boy walked forward toward their backyard while he followed behind.

" Be careful, okay, we don't want Daddy to catch us out this late at night." The boy slowly tiptoed past the house and ran forward after coming a few meters away from it.

After a while, he realized that they had ventured slightly into the forest and for some reason, the boy was keeping a certain straight line distance from going further into the forest.

Finally, he began to pick up the faint voices of a lady but it was being disrupted by all the howls, screeches, hisses, and growls he was hearing from inside the forest but they became clearer the closer he came.

" That's it, just a little further." The boy said as he increased his pace.

He stopped by a tree and proceeded to peek from behind it. Sina stopped midway as he admired the reflection of the starry sky against the ocean.

Of course, anyone would come there to have a feel of the good night's breeze. Its refreshingly striking nature was also refreshingly attractive and binding, the perfect place for him to cool his head and he just couldn't resist it.

He slowly walked closer to the boy to see her standing there with her white collarless dress on as her hands gracefully ran across the lyre she was holding while her voice filled the entire area with life.

The sparkle in their eyes grew brighter with each passing moment and only after she stopped playing were they able to realize themselves once again.

She then proceeded to continue playing the lyre but stopped singing. A small bench made of wood emerged from the ground and she sat on it while continuing with the lyre.

" She's one of the divine." He thought with his gaze fixed on her.

The graceful tone she had been playing suddenly turned into a rather sad-sounding one and the liveliness of the area they felt a moment ago quickly vanished.

" I wish she could go on and sing forever but it's time for me to go home. Good night then." The boy said as he turned around and walked away.

Sina stood there for a while and just as he was about to turn around and leave he heard voices coming from all around him, they all sounded familiar.

" Why don't you come and have a seat so we can have a little conversation."

He instantly turned around to see that another bench had appeared next to her and she was slightly patting it with her left hand while staring at the body of water in front of her.

It was quite clear to him that she was the one who had just asked for his presence so he slowly began walking towards her. Turned out she was able to use plant manipulation and was able to communicate to him with the trees around him.

" I'm pleased that my brother isn't the only one who finds my song enjoyable." She said as he came closer.

" So then, what topic is it that you want to converse with me?" He asked, standing next to the seat she had made for him.

She giggled slightly and said, " Spoken like a true student of the Kamengrad University. How about with you telling me why you dropped out?"

" You were a student there as well?" He asked in complete shock.

" Well I am still a student in my final year but let's not get carried away I'm the one who wants to know about you remember?" She said as she slowly began moving her fingers across the lyre.

" My reasons should be well known to every student that was at Kamengrad when I was there, the fact that you even know me leaves me questioning the reason behind your inquiry."

As soon as he was done talking vines instantly wrapped around his arms and legs tightly, leaving him completely helpless.

" What is the meaning of this?" He asked, turning towards her with a stern gaze.

" You were a year above me when I joined. One of the best if not the best students of your time of course many of us would look up to you even now. But... you feel different than you used to... and it's certainly not a divine force. Tell me, what is it that happened to you?" She asked, standing up and walking towards him.

He didn't say anything and simply kept his gaze on her as she slowly walked towards him. When she closed the gap between the both of them she reached out her right hand and placed it on his forehead while maintaining eye contact.

His stern expression slightly died down after that, it didn't seem like she was trying to hurt him but either way he wasn't in support of whatever she was about to do.

Vines gently wrapped around his head and onto her hands until they were around her own head as well.

He had an intuition of what she was about to do and as much as he was angered by it he was also eager to stop it but just as he opened his mouth he was suddenly frozen in place.

She was left utterly confused at what happened next. What she had cast was a spell which allowed her to peep into the memories of other people but what she was seeing wasn't that of Sina's.

It was a story drenched in extreme sadness so much so that her head began throbbing heavily after a few seconds.

Out in the middle of a forest was a woman dressed in white robes with a basket firmly held under her arms.

" Melissa!" She heard a masculine voice call out.

After that scenes filled with sorrow followed by so many skips by each of them that she was left not only with extreme headache but total confusion at what she was seeing.

Her energy was quickly getting sapped out of her and she was wearing out quickly. She let go of him and fell to her knees before quickly gripping her head with both hands.

Sina sat there watching, unable to do anything even though the vines had loosened. She finally collapsed on the ground.

It was only then that he was able to move and just as he stood up, he instantly blacked out and collapsed on the ground as well.
