Chapter 25：You are my boyfriend now

They both chatted aimlessly in the square for a long time, avoiding any mention of the slightly awkward incident that had just happened.

Later, Su Keko drove Li Weijie back to Xu Rong's residential area.

When they arrived at the doorstep, Li Weijie suddenly remembered that he didn't know if Xu Rong's condition had improved or if she still needed to go to the hospital. As he unlocked the door with his keys, he checked the time on his phone and realized that it had shut down due to a low battery at some point.

Xu Rong was half-lying on the sofa in the living room flipping through a magazine. When she saw Li Weijie return, she propped herself up and asked softly, "Back already? Did you have a good time today?"

Seeing Xu Rong's faint smile and realizing that he hadn't asked about her illness all day, Li Weijie felt a slight sense of guilt and hurriedly replied, "Just wandered around A City. Rong, are you feeling better? Have you taken your medicine?"

Approaching the sofa, Li Weijie noticed that Xu Rong, who was half-lying, had changed into pajamas. Her tired and alluring appearance as she leaned against the pillow looked particularly lazy and enticing. Moreover, she was an extremely mature and feminine beautiful woman, which made Li Weijie's heart pound.

"It's alright, I'm feeling much better now." Xu Rong smiled and said.

Li Weijie could still hear the lack of energy in her voice, so he quickly crouched in front of her and reached out to touch her forehead. 

"Let me check if you still have a fever... It still feels a little warm. Maybe we should go see the doctor again?"

Xu Rong shook her head. 

"No need, even with injections and medication, it won't get better so quickly. I just need to continue taking my medicine."

Because Li Weijie was now crouching in front of Xu Rong and touching her forehead, the distance between them was very close. He could even vaguely smell her light fragrance, and her soft voice and breath made his heart skip a beat. He quickly stood up.

As Xu Rong sat up, she asked in a low voice, "Do you want to have a late-night snack? I can cook something for you."

Li Weijie sat down beside her and replied, "No need to trouble yourself. Rong, you should rest well now. People with colds need more rest than usual. Go to sleep early."

"Oh." Xu Rong smiled slightly. "It's not a bother. I cooked earlier, but I don't have much appetite myself. I thought about asking you to come back and have a meal, but I couldn't reach you on the phone. So, there's still a lot left."

Only now did Li Weijie realize that she had cooked and was waiting for him to come back and eat. He didn't expect to not come back and have his phone out of battery. He took out his phone, shook his head, and smiled, "I didn't realize it ran out of battery."

"Alright then, I'll go to sleep first. If you're hungry, just heat it and eat." Xu Rong rubbed her eyes, stretched lazily, and got up to go upstairs.

Li Weijie was puzzled. He felt that Xu Rong seemed a bit different tonight, but he couldn't pinpoint exactly what it was. It seemed like... she was much gentler, perhaps because she was feeling unwell.

"Ah Jie," Xu Rong turned back and called Li Weijie.

"Rong, is there anything wrong?" Li Weijie quickly stood up.

Xu Rong shook her head, with a slightly apologetic tone, "I'm sorry, you've been here for a while, and I haven't had the time to show you around A City or take you out."

"Don't say that. I'm not here for sightseeing. I requested to work here myself, plus you're so busy, of course, we shouldn't waste time. I'll explore on my own when I have time."

"Oh... you didn't visit many places today, did you?" Xu Rong asked uncertainly.

Li Weijie smiled, "I did visit quite a few places. Su Keko, the customer from our store, drove me around. Su Keko."

"Oh..." 

Xu Rong's voice seemed a little disappointed. She originally wanted to take a day off tomorrow and accompany Li Weijie for a stroll, being a good host. 

But now... 

"That's good. Sun Mo has told me before. Su Keko always asks for your service recently, so you must be quite familiar."

Li Weijie felt a little embarrassed and smiled, "On the first day I arrived, she had just left your place, right? We had a small conflict outside, but now everything is fine. We've become acquainted and cleared up the misunderstanding."

"Ah? She caused trouble for you?"

She initially teased me on purpose, but now everything is fine. Now we know each other well. Li Weijie thought of today's situation and couldn't help but smile.

"Oh... Keko is a very cute girl." Xu Rong smiled and said, "Alright then, I'll go to sleep."

As she turned to go upstairs, Xu Rong inexplicably felt a hint of suppressed annoyance. She couldn't explain why she felt this way, just as she couldn't understand why she wanted to wait for Li Weijie to come back today.

Li Weijie, who had no other concerns, slept soundly until he naturally woke up. But he was quickly shocked by a text message.

When he got up and checked the time, he saw a text message from Su Keko. It read:

"Ajie, from today onwards, you are my boyfriend!"

Seeing this message, Li Weijie was instantly stunned. 

This girl attached herself to me and wanted me to take responsibility. 

Are you kidding me? 

We only kissed, and it was you who initiated it. 

Is this necessary?

He didn't have time to reply to the message immediately, so he immediately called Su Keko.

"Hey? Lazy pig, why are you up so early today?" Su Keko sounded surprised and a bit bemused when she heard Li Weijie's call.

"Wait, wait," Li Weijie quickly said, "Stop calling me like that. I'm asking you, what did you mean by the message you sent just now?"

"What? I didn't send you a message just now!" Su Keko said puzzledly.

Li Weijie was at a loss, but he quickly figured it out and sighed, "Su Keko, you are teasing me again!"

"No? What are you talking about?" Su Keko asked curiously.

Li Weijie said irritably, "You sent some strange message saying that I'm your boyfriend, but it turns out you didn't, I just didn't see it."

Su Keko suddenly burst into laughter. "You're talking about that message? I did send it, but not just now. I sent it last night, didn't you see it?"

"What? Can't you understand English? I made it clear in the message, from last night onwards, you're my boyfriend!" Su Keko seemed surprised. 

"Hehe, are you overwhelmed with surprise and can't believe it?"

"Why are you joking like this? What's your intention?" Li Weijie asked cautiously.

"Huh? Can't you understand? I wrote it. From last night, you're my boyfriend!" Su Keko said with a seemingly amazed expression. "Hehe, maybe you're just overwhelmed with surprise and can't believe it."

"What kind of joke is this? What are you up to?" Li Weijie couldn't help but smile wryly. Overwhelmed with surprise?

Su Keko leisurely said, "Boyfriend, since you're up now, let's go out on a date and discuss the details."

Li Weijie's headache worsened!
