After three years of marriage, Wendy Stewart was used to Michael Lucas's sarcastic remarks, his frequent threats about getting divorced, and even his indulgence of a mistress. She thought that she could bear with this her entire life, until she accidentally got pregnant with a child that Michael did not want. Finally despondent, Wendy signed the divorce agreement and left. Yvonne had received a phone call from Christian half an hour ago. He told her that Michael was drinking alone at a bar now and instructed her to hurry over. Naturally, she would not let such a good opportunity just go to waste.
"Michael, did something happen? Why are you drowning your sorrows alone here?" asked Yvonne, putting on an innocent front.
"Nothing happened," said Michael with his head bowed. "Go away, just leave me alone."
"How can I possibly just leave you alone in this state?" asked Yvonne as she mustered all her strength to help Michael stand up. "You shouldn't drink anymore, let me send you home."
"I don't want to go home! I don't want to see Wendy Stewart!" said Michael when he heard Yvonne's offer to bring him home.
Yvonne was delighted to hear Michael say that he did not want to see Wendy. The dim lighting in the bar was perfectly concealed her smile.
