A Traitor

|•Chapter 2:- A traitor•|

Apollyon one of the chosen 4 was around the vicinity, he could feel a familiar and sinister presence and he knew one of his kind was around and could be the one plotting the raid.

Few days ago, at the mountains bordering the kanras village along the East. On these elevated terrains, a golden haired man traverses. His muscular torso was bare and on his legs he had a pair of jean shorts. His Azure eyes bore in them no emotion. He looked like a man who could murder a throng of women and children without batting an eyelid or feeling in the slightest bit, guilty. Perhaps this is because that was indeed the type of man he is.

His name is Apollyon, "the golden warrior of Tartarus".

"My my, this place is boring!

I miss Tartarus; I miss being taller than mountains; I miss the booze; I miss the boobs. But here I am in this stupid realm, smaller than a grasshopper, surrounded by no tits whatsoever. Not to mention we're tasked with a very boring mission. Tch, who cares if the humans want to destroy themselves? Not me.

Chaos is unavoidable, it's something all species have in common, it's the original source of what we now know as magic. Trying to eliminate chaos is trying to rid this world of magic" he began to grit his teeth in fury and his expression intensifies " that, is the greatest sin of all" Appolyon despite his cold nature he tends to respect some rules he calls golden . He looks into the sky " and you will not be forgiven King Baelon. I will kill your son and the other 3 warriors in this realm. I will kill anyone else you send. And then... "A malicious grin occupies his face "I will come for your head... King of Titans!" He was ready to start a rebellion, he was that kind of man. Not far from where Appolyon was, an Intense battle was ongoing some magic weilders had picked up a mission to defeat a snake. Kobrah, the gargantuan serpent. Scourge of the Earth for centuries. Towering high above the tallest oaks, its tail is strong enough to cause natural disasters with a single swing and its corrosive venom potent enough to reduce mountains of gold to liquid.

Over the years, this beast fed off the hatred and strife of men, growing too large and too powerful to be brought down by normal means. Indeed, it was almost invincible, until a Templar of the Western mages guild named Percival Kent battled it with ancient magic. They fought for many a night and day, until eventually he succeeded in subduing and sealing the fiendish serpent away.

Recently however, against the words of the Templars, a young lad went into the guild and fought his way to the staff used to control Kobrah. Without thinking, this lad went into battle against the Jurian tribe of the Juri mountain. It didn't take long before he was killed and Kobrah swallowed the staff used to restrain him.

Now once more, the evil serpent roams the plains unrestrained, once more it vanquishes humans in their hundreds, once more the world needs a vanguard to retrieve the gem at the apex of the staff from within it's stomach in order to control it again before it melts. Three humans took on this mission, one which was Lorcán, the other a promising young lad Lydo and the third an Earth mage Trevor. "I don't like being held back" Lorcán blurted "Same right at you Old man" Lydo said with a grin on his face while Trevor just chuckled preparing for battle. Lorcán was the first to attack, he turns his body around swiftly and without wasting a moment, he dashes toward the serpent. When he was now 30m away, he moves at Sonic speed, launching himself above his opponent, leaving a small crater in the ground beneath him. Finding himself now directly above its large head, he releases a sudden burst of Sonic energy from his body, propelling him downward at great speed. A moment before crashing into it, he raises his right hand, ready to land a punch and releases a greater amount of Sonic energy from his right elbow, tripling his already massive punching power, making it high enough to leave a crack in a steel pillar but that didn't damage the snake, the snake brushed Lorcán off by shaking it's head and spraying poisonous venom towards him but lorcán was fast to evade. A bolt of lightning struck the left eye of the snake disturbing it for a moment, that was lydo doing. Lorcán was as cocky as ever

"Ohh, thick skin I see.... "

He opens his mouth, in preparedness to switch to a different method of combat

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! "

His yell echoes through the mountains like a banshee, ripping apart all audio sensitive vessels in a 50m radius. This process would prove lethal for all humans in the vicinity but to the mighty serpent, it was only enough to weaken or knock it out. The other warriors took defensive measures from the dangerous sound waves, lydo was phasing allowing the vibrations pass through, this technique of his comes with consequence. While Trevor covered himself in thick layer of earth shielding from the sound. This made the snake loose its sense of balance and trevoh grabbed with huged earth golem hands restraining its movement. They thought they had won, but then the snake began swinging its huge tail and rolling left and right causing huge wind waves and large debris to fly at every direction. Being in the vicinity alone could prove fatal. The earth user arm was broken and he was badly injured, he was lucky to flee underground, lydo was blown away but he used the sheer force of his electric power to embody himself in electricity and made a crash landing, he stood up unscathed. Lorcán absorbed in the pleasure of combat, he let the mighty snake slap him away into the atmosphere

"Interesting." He chuckled

He adjusts himself so that his legs face away from his chief opponent and releases a burst of Sonic energy from his feet, sending him flying straight toward the good eye of his target but before his attack could connect the snake released toxic venom stream around the vicinity. When this venom melts solid matter, it creates poisonous gas. Lorcán dashes to a point in front of the snake but 40m away. There he began to gather up his magic and mix it with spiritual energy

"I'll end it with the next attack" he said keeping his distance as he stepped aback, he could feel a difference in the vibration of the air.

Trevor hidden underground created more golemn hands to hold down the snake once more but it seemed futile, the situation was now dire for Trevor

Lydo could sense the earth user wasn't around the vicinity so it was rather hard getting to him. He pondered for a while looking and observing the monster he noticed the venom it sprayed and the manner in which the sound user leaped. With that he smiled, he had a plan. The electrokinetic energy in his body began swirling and in a jiffy he moved faster than a blink at a bizarre speed of electricity, he was leaping past the venoms as such speed gave him great momentum and he climbed the body of the snake. While at the eye region he used his electric embodiment to cover himself and his sword with electricity and with a mirage of electric bolt and the cutting potent of his sword he completely destroyed the weakened eye and got in and at that same moment a huge hole appeared in the ground it was Trevor doing, the snake was being sunk. When Lydo got in, he was physically tired he had to use his energy to support his skin and bones so that they could resist the speed, his magical energy had to be equally delivered if not he might have lost his life. He decided to run on foot not using anymore energy his aim was to locate its brain. With his last bit of strength he blew its head open and he fell into the hole with the snake.

"My My" Appolyon who had been watching all this while was amazed at what length humans could use their powers.

"I think I'll take one of this humans under my wings" he said to himself with a smirk on his face.

Present day

"Oh. Just who I was looking for. That cocky nerd will die by my hand today " Appolyon gritted his teeth. He bends low and places his left hand on the floor. On this hand, he wore a large ring with a skull on it. As the left eye of the skull began to emit a green sheen, a green pentagram appears beneath him and he disappears. A jiffy later, he appears before the party of vagabonds

"Sorry children. I'll be breaking up your little party now."

He points the hand from earlier toward them. This time, the right eye emits a red sheen

"Be gladdened though, for in death you shall find purpose, as members of the Holy battalion of Tartarus"

As he Mutters some incoherent spells, the ring begins to summon from out of the men, their very own souls, the men immediately drop dead and their souls trapped in eternal servitude to Apollyon

"Come down here Oton. I won't bite you." Appolyon said sensing his brother from Tartarus nearby. Lorcán was nearby with his pet grizzly whom he had tamed, he stopped in his tracks and for the first time he felt weak, he could feel something, it was inhuman the energy he felt was very powerful and overwhelming and he couldn't phantom what was about to happen. A smirk appeared on his face and he increased his pace to the place the explosions once happened.
