Conned

The next morning Aurora woke up early, got ready and waited for Chris to wake with the food in her hand. He woke with a smile knowing what she has done. But he was lazy she with all her strength kicked him out of the bed to the washroom to get ready.

"What are we doing today?" she asked him.

"Beach and snorkelling. But it's a bit away from the resort." He replied from his shower. She packed the bag this time for both and waited for him to have breakfast. She was excited. They started their journey and had so much that day. Aurora was so much afraid to play in the sea, but was helped by Chris slowly to play peacefully with waves but cancelled snorkelling and spend more time playing on the beach, doing silly shopping and having plenty of lobsters and other seafood.

"You have a really big appetite you know that." She stopped eating and looked at him. "I love that. I will never fail to feed you." He pinched her cheeks and laughed lightly.

"But I'm still in shape." She said and continued eating.

"I am going to terribly feel lonely going to college with a year more to complete." He said looking far away. She looked at him not saying a word. "Do you have to graduate?" He asked.

"Of course, I should. What am I going to do thereafter getting my degree from college?" She told him.

"Well, you can come and teach." He opinioned. "For a year!."

"It has certain rules, Chris. I don't know if it is possible. Besides, there are many good teachers here, so." She stopped. "Hey! Don't worry," He didn't say anything after that and both remained silent watching the sunset together.

"We should get back," Aurora told him while he wanted to spend more time alone. They got back in the car and took the route back to the city. "I loved your resort." She said to break the silence.

"Dad's selling it next week." He said.

"What? Why?" She asked.

"To the Carter Group."

"Don't sell to them." Words came out of her mouth unexpectedly. I mean can you not sell it?" She asked.

"It's already signed." He told her about the deal. "Besides we are building a new beach resort."

"So this was the last time you were visiting." She asked and he nodded.

It was already 9 at night when they reached college. Half an hour left to close the gate. Chris walked her to the dorm holding the backpack for her. "Text me once you are in," he said as they reached the stairs. She nodded and gave him a quick unexpected peck on his cheeks and ran in. he stood there smiling until she disappeared and walked back to his dorm. To his surprise, half the room looked empty.

"Are you leaving Daniel?" Chris asked startled.

"No man I got robbed. Except for the bed, every single thing I owned is gone. I think Estelle stole everything. She left this handwritten note."

"How does this medicine taste like? It's your own. This time only in stealing yours. Call it revenge." E

"SHE CONNED ME" He screamed loud sitting down in the bed.
