In less than two minutes, Nikolas's phone rang again. He snatched it up and brought it to his ear.
"Speak." He commanded, his voice sharp.
"I have eyes on her." The voice on the other end confirmed, the same person Nikolas had spoken to moments before.
"Where?" Nikolas demanded, his patience fraying at the edges.
"At your club." The voice replied, with a casualness that grated on Nikolas's nerves.
"Which one?" He snapped, his teeth grinding together, every syllable laced with irritation. He wasn't in the mood for games.
"The one on the outskirts of town." The voice finally answered, a hint of amusement creeping into their tone.
"Do not move an inch, I am on my way." Nikolas ordered, his voice dangerously low.
"What am I, a babysitter?" The voice on the other end asked, the teasing lilt unmistakable.
